Abstract

This research is a study of the trempoh tradition that was carried out by the Malay community in sub-district Sintang, Districts Sintang, province West Borneo. The trempoh tradition is a repertoire of local culture that serves as a means of friendship and unifying between tribes, religions and ethnicities living in sub-district Sintang. This research determine to know how the implementation, multicultural values, and Islamic education values from the trempoh tradition. This research is a field research that uses descriptive qualitative method to describe the implementation and values of the tradition that are supplanted through observation, interviews and documents related to the tradition. The results of this study explain that the implementation of the trempoh tradition consists of the takbiran activities, family terempoh, male trempoh, female trempoh, and family terempoh. In the trempoh traditions there are multicultural values, such as: diversity, equality, humanity, justice, and democracy, while the Islamic education values from trempoh traditions, such as: religious, compassion, politeness, and social care. Penelitian ini merupakan studi terhadap tradisi terempoh yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Melayu di Kecamatan Sintang, Kabupaten Sintang, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Tradisi terempoh merupakan khasanah budaya lokal yang berfungsi sebagai sarana silaturahmi dan pemersatu antar suku, agama dan etnis yang tinggal di Kecamatan Sintang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan, nilai-nilai multikultur, dan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dari tradisi terempoh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk memaparkan pelaksanaan dan nilai-nilai dari tradisi terempoh melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumen terkait tradisi terempoh. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa pelaksanaan tradisi terempoh terdiri dari kegiatan takbiran keliling, terempoh keluarga, terempoh laki-laki, terempoh perempuan, dan terempoh kaum kerabat. Dalam tradisi terempoh terdapat nilai-nilai multikultural, berupa: keragaman, kesetaraan, kemanusiaan, keadilan, dan demokrasi, sementara nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dari tradisi terempoh, yaitu: religius, kasih sayang, kesantunan, dan kepedulian sosial.

As we know MEA has created competitive situation that means school must be able to answer market needs of workers. School must produces a good quality of education student that be able to compete in the global market. It means scholl must be reincarnated into progressive school. Discourse of progressive school has created by the writer based on john dewey originally ideas of progressivism.

Abstract

Education reform efforts typically begin with a conceptual perspective before implementation. Thus, developing Islamic education usually begins with a study of a figure and his educational thought. And one of the most influential figures whose thought which has Sufi religious pattern has dominated educational thinking atmosphere over the centuries since his death. The purpose of education according to al-Ghazali was to get closer to Allah. He came with a view that the most noble job is to educate: to become a teacher. Al-Ghazali advised that his students, in the learning process, aim to become scientists who could disseminate their knowledge for the sake of humanity values. Abstract

Secara historis-filosofis kajian ini mendeskripsikan tentang bagaimana dikotomi agama dan ilmu sedang terjadi dalam perjalanan sejarah umat Islam dan seberapa besar kemungkinan ia dapat kembali diintegrasikan. Kajian ini dilakukan berangkat dari kegelisahan penulis dalam menanggapi pemikiran Islam yang dikotomistik antara agama dan ilmu. Hal ini mengakibatkan umat Islam berada dalam kondisi yang terpuruk yaitu mengalami kemunduran dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Karena itulah usaha integrasi perlu dilakukan umat Islam dengan tidak mendikotomi agama dengan ilmu. Manfaat dari kajian ini secara teoritis adalah adanya tuntunan teoritis bagi umat Islam dalam memandang agama dan ilmu secara integratif, sehingga berikutnya muncul kesadaran untuk melakukan reinterpretasi terhadap ilmu termasuk adanya semangat mengkaji ilmu yang didasarkan pada nilai-nilai agama Islam. Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explore the effect of GPT Chat utilization on the performance of Islamic religion teachers in making teaching modules. Specifically, this study examines (1) the performance of Islamic religion teachers before utilizing Chat GPT, (2) how the utilization of Chat GPT by Islamic religion teachers, (3) the performance of Islamic religion teachers after utilizing Chat GPT, and (4) whether there is a significant effect of utilizing Chat GPT on teacher performance in making teaching modules. Design/methods/approach – This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experiment design. Data collection tools include questionnaires, observation guidelines, and documentation. Hypothesis testing was conducted through normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk) and non-parametric tests (Wilcoxon) to measure significant differences between pretest and posttest results. Findings – The findings of this study indicate that the use of Chat GPT affects the performance of Islamic religion teachers in making teaching modules. Research implications/limitations – This study shows that the utilization of Chat GPT significantly improves teacher performance in doing Islamic religious education teaching modules. However, this study has limitations because of the small sample size of only 22 teachers. Future research can expand the scope by involving a larger sample and other education levels. Originality/value – This study provides empirical evidence of the transformative potential of digital technologies in Islamic religious education practice and offers insights into how teachers can integrate AI technologies to improve Islamic religious education teaching strategies and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Dewasa ini, dunia pendidikan di Indonesia mengalami anomali, dalam artian secara data menunjukkan adanya peningkatan warga negara yang terdidik, namun diikuti juga dengan peningkatan perilaku immoral yang tidak mencerminkan perilaku orang yang terdidik. Penelitian ini mencoba mengambil kembali pemikiran pendidikan dari dua tokoh intelektual Muslim yaitu imam al-Ghazali dan Muhammad Abduh. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan pemikiran antara imam al-Ghazali dan Muhammad Abduh. Imam al-Ghazali menginginkan pendidikan tidak terlalu mengedepankan akal hingga melupakan tatanan dasar dalam agama. Sementara Muhammad Abduh, menginginkan pendidikan yang progresif, yang dinamis, dan berkemajuan. Dua corak pemikiran ini dapat dikontekstualisasika berdasarkan kecenderungan pendidikan yang ada saat ini. Untuk pemikiran imam al-Ghazali bisa diterapkan di lembaga pendidikan yang lebih umum, guna memastikan peserta didik tidak tercerabut dari nilai-nilai ketuhanan. Sementara Muhammad Abduh, dengan reformasi pendidikannya bisa diimplementasikan di lembaga-lembaga pendidikan yang kurang berkembang Kata Kunci: Kontekstualisasi Pendidikan; Imam al-Ghazali; Muhammad Abduh; Filsafat Pendidikan
