This study aimed to describe the planning, the implementation, and evaluation of the implementation of integrated learning strategies to improve student learning of listening and speaking. The research design is a classroom action research. Data was obtained from one teacher, and 40 sophomore students of Indonesia Language Education Department of Muhammadiyah STKIP in Bone. The research results showed that; (1) the planning of integrated learning strategies can improve the students learning of listening and speaking. (2 ) the implementation of integrated learning strategy can improve students learning of listening and speaking. Implementation steps were included; listening in pairs and cooperative learning, (3) evaluation of the integrated learning strategy can improve students learning of listening and speaking. It should be in line with the context of the content, real and factual.

This study aimed to describe the ability to appreciate the effectiveness of the two stay two stray strategy in the learning of short stories appreciation of class X High School Students of Gunung Sari Makassar. The study was designed with artificial experiments. Sampling in this study used total sampling technique. The instruments used, namely observation and tests. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistical t-test types are processed through the program SPSSX 19. The results demonstrate the ability of students to appreciate the stories with two types of cooperative learning strategies categorized stay two stray high and (2) two types of cooperative learning strategies stay two stray effectively applied in teaching appreciation of short stories

This study aimed to describe: 1) the implementation of learning to read-write for the beginners 2) to identify the influences factors, and 3) how to solve those factors of influences. The populations were students and one classroom teacher of SDN Cinderejo Surakarta. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Sampling determined through purposive sampling technique. The results of the study concluded: 1) RWB learning component involves students, teachers, objectives, materials, methods, media, and evaluation. Various components are interrelated. 2) Barriers to learning RWB included the internal and external obstacles. (3) To overcome internal barriers were done through learning process, while external barriers pursued through the outside component of the learning process in the classroom RWB.

This study aimed to describe the status, roles, and gender inequality in the cultural structure of Toani Tolotang communities. Collecting techniques of the data are through observation, indepth interviews and focus group discussions. The results showed: (1) the manifestation of the injustice caused by differences in the social strata (status quo) in society, namely: the impression of slavery, oppression and economic deprivation, restraint in decision-making, and differences in educational opportunities, (2) the manifestation of gender inequality caused by the beliefs of Toani Tolotang communities, namely: the feelings and individual decisions constrained by the status quo, the limitation of movement and productivity for pregnant women, the over loyalty of wife to husband , the unbalanced of sharing roles and workloads between men and women, and lack of respect for the work of women.

This study aims to describe the cohesion and coherence markers that are used to build the integrity of the narrative discourse in Indonesian module composed by the Indonesian language teachers. The research is descriptive qualitative. Research data was sourced from Module Bahasa Indonesia: Jendela Pengetahuan composed by junior high school teachers. The techniques of collecting data were; reading techniques, technical notes, and the techniques of composing corpus. The results showed that: 1) markers of cohesion are used to build the integrity of the narrative discourse consists of: reference, substitution, ellipsis, conjunction, and lexical, 2) the use of coherence markers consist of linkage time, how, conflict, cause and effect, sequences , usability, condition, expressed more meaning.

This study aimed to describe and explain the propriety of speech act in academic interactions. This study includes the type of qualitative research using ethnography of communication design theory, speech act theory, and the theory of linguistic politeness. The research data consists of data conversations and field notes. Data collected through recording techniques, observation, interviews, and transcriptions. Data analysis was carried out through four main procedures, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions/verification. Based on data analysis, politeness of speech act are classified into four, namely: (1) civility in act assertively, (2) acts of civility in the directive, (3) civility in commissive act, and (4) civility in expressive acts.

This study aimed to describe the first language vocabulary acquisition (L1) of a second child 16 months of age. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data were obtained through direct observation and recording techniques that is processed by reference to the Mukalel theory. Data were analyzed through the steps of identifying, classifying, and describing. Indonesian vocabulary acquisition L1of second child is still at the stage of an incomplete pronunciation of the word. Under the excited conditions, the children can pronounce syllables. While in unhappy condition, no syllables or words that can be spoken, children can only shake the head.

This study is a qualitative research with description design. The research data was sarcasm in the head line of Kompas and Fajar newspaper which determined by purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted during January-February 2011. The results showed that sarcasm of headlines in national newspapers going for violating the principles of courtesy, the maxims of wisdom, generosity, praise, humility, agreements, and sympathy. This study aimed to describe the composition of Wejangan Aneh story. Research data was sourced from Fajar daily newspaper in Makasssar. Data analysis was done by using critical discourse analysis approach. The results showed that the beliefs of the people about supernatural, which represented by the use of the macro-structure and micro-structure. The central theme of the story is the emergence of the negative cultural ideology. That is the behavior of the villagers who liked to accept foreign cultures that caused negative impact and sin because they missed the attention of doing their worship.
