Abstract

Sustainable economic development must be achieved by developing countries. Economic development is a major phenomenon in human history placed in the industrial revolutionary movement. Indonesia has made great progress in economic development. Indonesia has an important role in the global economy. The aim of this research is to identify inclusive economic development in agriculture and plantation sectors in Indonesia. This study identifies the agricultural and plantation sectors in the areas of palm oil, rubber, crop and cocoa farming. The results show that agriculture and plantation sector in Indonesia plays an important role in economic development. Production of palm oil, rubber, crop and cocoa farming should be further enhanced in Indonesia, particularly areas that are sufficient for agriculture and plantation cultivation.

Abstract

Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, University of Bangka Belitung has been using SPSS application in the implementation of teaching management subjects, to improve productivity of lecturers work by automating work in the form of SPSS applications. SPSS application aims to provide convenience and acceleration in the process of completion research. This study aims to find out how the user's perception of usefulness and ease of use of SPSS applications. Respondents in this study amounted to 100 students majoring in management. Method of collecting data using electronic questionnaire (google form), measuring tool with 5-point Likert scale, in the validity and reliability test as well analyzed using descriptive analysis by finding the mean value of each item statement. The research model uses Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with two the main constants are perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The results of the discussion show the user perception of the benefits of SPSS application on average overall get the value of Mean with a score of 4.08 and the ease of use SPSS application on average the overall value of Mean score 4.10, so it can be concluded that the respondents get good benefits in using SPSS applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know and analyze: (1) the influence of independence on the performance of Savings and Loans Cooperative, (2) the influence of professional expertise on the performance of Cooperative Savings and Loans, (3) the influence of work experience on the performance of Cooperative Savings and Loans, and how (4) as well as how the influence of supervisor's performance on the performance of Cooperative Savings and Loans. Research respondents amounted to 171 supervisory cooperatives of Savings and Loans in Bangka Belitung Islands Province spread over 7 districts, such as Bangka, Central Bangka, West Bangka, South Bangka, Pangkalpinang, Belitung and Belitung Timur. The collected data is processed using the quantitative method using Statistical Product and Service Solutions. The results showed that the independent variable, professional expertise, and performance of supervisors did not affect the performance of savings and loan cooperatives, while the working experience variables influence the performance of savings and loan cooperatives in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands.

Abstract

This study examined the signalling theory about how the market / investors respond to dividend announcements made by companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2008-2012. This period was chosen because the economy and economic growth of Indonesia is relatively stable. In general, the objective of this research is to develop new theoretical approaches, in an effort to resolve the conceptual controversies regarding the impact of dividend policy on firm value. That in detail, in particular, objective: To analyze and empirically test the market reaction to the announcement dividend omissions, as well as Analyze and test empirically the firm-specific characteristics variables that affect the market reaction. The samples are all companies that announced dividend policy for 5 years as many as 242 companies with 729 event announcements. The results showed that in events dividend announcement found a significant reaction from the market. At the announcement of dividend omissions, there are 5 significant observations with 2 observations fit in theory. The study also shows none of the significant characteristics of the company is able to explain the market reaction to dividend announcements.

Abstract

This Empirical Research aims to look at the contribution and role of Management Village Finance by village apparatus, overall activities including planning, Implementation, administration, reporting and accountability of village finances and Funds Villages sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget are designated For villages transferred through the District / City Revenue and Expenditure Budget And used to finance the administration, development, Community development, and community empowerment based on Ministerial Regulation Internal Affair of Ministry Number 113 of 2014. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the device Village in district of West Bangka Regency about Strategies to create financial statements and manage a good budget, deliver Training on information technology for village apparatus, training documenting ways and orderly administration and ways of making numbers/codes and codes Documents / archives and others. The population in this study is all of the villages in Mentok and Parit Tiga District of West Bangka Regency while the sample in this study are geographically located villages in Mentok and Parit Tiga Districts of West Bangka Regency. This study uses Primary Data in the form of interviews and Secondary Data taken directly from Object of Research with statistics test. Descriptive and Quantitative Test Correlation (relationship) with Pearson Correlation between research variable.

Abstract

The competitive conditions in the market of higher education services encourage every college in Banten to be able to retain students and acquire new students every year. The decision of the prospective student in determining the college of his choice is very important for the sustainability of every college in Banten. Understanding the factors that influence the prospective student's decision is expected to increase the competitive advantage of Banten college so as to win the target market. The purpose of this study is to test the model that explains the effect of education services and reference groups on the decision of prospective students in choosing a college. In addition, this study also aims to examine the role of mediation of reference groups that mediate the influence of educational services on the decision of prospective students in choosing a college. Survey research design is used to obtain data to be analyzed using SEM with the help of AMOS software. Questionnaires were distributed to 418 students from high school and vocational schools, both public and private in Banten. The SEM estimation results indicate that Service and Reference Group directly influence the decision of prospective students in choosing a college to continue their studies. In addition, the reference group proved to mediate the influence of the Services on the Decision of the Student Candidate. Thus, the reference group has an important role for the Education Services in determining the decision of the prospective student. Marketing communications should be directed in addition to the target market itself, but also to reference groups with positioning as distinct and superior educational services.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to measure the accountability of village funds management in Kabupaten Bangka. In relation to the Village Funds program which is a government program, the measurement of accountability of Village Funds management uses accountability principles consisting of Transparency, Liability, Controlling, Responsibility and Responsiveness which are the principles of accountability developed by the United Nations Development Program in measuring bureaucratic accountability. This research is a qualitative research by taking data from several villages in Bangka Regency. As well as qualitative research, the data taken in this study using snowball sampling method, where researchers take data by conducting in-depth interviews until the data obtained until the condition is saturated, meaning there is a repetition of the same information at the time of data collection. The results of this study indicate that villages in Bangka Regency have met the accountability principles of 5 (five) starting from planning, implementation and reporting when measured from 5 (five) accountability principles consisting of Transparency, Obligation, Controlling, Responsibility and Responsiveness.

Abstract

Tanah Lot Tourism Attraction (TLTA) is located on the South Coast of Bali Island precisely in the area of Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, Bali. This research is quantitative descriptive method which sample is chosen based on purposive sampling technique, foreign and also domestic tourists who visit at time total 337 respondents. The statistical analyzed indicated that the domestic visitor segment is higher than the foreign visitor segment, this also indicate that domestic visitor is a potential target market for the products produced by local entrepreneurs in TLTA. Survey based on demography variable shows that the number of female visitor are more compared to male, dominantly by age group from 21 to 30 years old and most of them are students, and respondents educational level visit to TLTA are dominantly bachelor graduates. The geography variable shows that tourists visit to TLTA dominantly by domestics, followed by South Korea, Australia, and other countries.The psychograph variable, shows that dominant tourist visit because sunset and the nature of beauty view offered by Tanah Lot and mostly are repeater guests, received information from many sources. Their visit duration mostly between one to two hours, mostly they visit by rented car in the afternoon for sunset and the total amount of money spent between fifty thousand to one hundred thousand Rupiah, also the total amount of money spent during their visit is dominantly between five hundred to one million Rupiah per day. Chi-Square Tests indicated that there is correlation between group age, tourist occupation, and education level toward the motivation of visit to TLTA.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of cash ratio, debt to equity ratio, and return on the asset to dividend payout ratio on manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange with observation period 2010-2014. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling so that the number of samples is 27 companies. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression and hypothesis test using t-statistic to test partial regression coefficient and f-statistic to test the feasibility of research model with a level of significance 5%. Besides, there is also a classic assumption test that includes normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test. The result of the analysis shows that the variable of cash ratio and return on asset have positive and significant influence, while the variable of debt to equity ratio has a negative and significant effect to dividend payout ratio.

Abstract

As the face of the organization, BRPs were the target of representations and influence attempts by external agents. In effect, the BRPs were both the influencer and the recipient of influence from insiders and outsiders. This basic characteristic led potentially to higher levels of role conflict and tension for the BRPs than other organization members. Because of high risk and challenges, BRPs had to have goal commitment to maintain their loyalty. This study aimed to explore goal commitment predictors of BRPs. Data collection involved 162 colleges promotion officers in Yogyakarta and it was analysed through Partial Least Square (PLS). The results indicated that R-square on the goal commitment  was 0,398. The effect of conscientiousness on goal commitment was indicated by a correlation of 0,323 and t=4,245; the effect of communication climate on goal commitment was indicated by a correlation value of 0,206 and t=2,545; the effect of equity reward on goal commitment was indicated by a correlation value of 0,092 and t=1,534; the effect of opponent cooperation on goal commitment was indicated by a correlation value of 0,203 and t=2,915. The conclusion was communication climate, opponent cooperation, and conscientiousness influenced goal commitment significantly, but equity reward did not influence goal commitment significantly.
