Abstract

The rise of remote work has prompted renewed interest in understanding the factors influencing employee performance. This study investigates the direct and indirect effects of workload on employee performance, with work-life balance and job satisfaction as mediating variables. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were collected from 160 remote employees across major Indonesian cities and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that workload positively and significantly affects employee performance, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction. However, work-life balance does not significantly mediate this relationship. Job satisfaction emerged as a crucial psychological mechanism that amplifies the effect of workload on performance. These results suggest that intrinsic factors, such as meaningful job experiences and satisfaction, are more influential than external balance mechanisms in driving remote employee productivity. The study contributes to the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) literature by clarifying the role of motivational versus strain-related mediators in remote work settings. Organizations are advised to focus on enhancing job satisfaction through recognition and meaningful task assignment, rather than relying solely on work-life balance initiatives.

Abstract

Technological advancements in finance have created significant prospects for easier access to financing, particularly for micro to medium-sized enterprises. However, the adoption rate of fintech lending by MSMEs, especially in Indonesia, is still below target. This research aims to provide an empirical contribution by testing the TAM and UTAUT models more comprehensively and to empirically examine the financial lending behavior of MSMEs in Indonesia, which can be utilized by regulators. The research model includes performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use. Data was collected using a quantitative approach to MSMEs in Indonesia and empirically tested using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) method. The research results indicate that performance expectations and perceived usefulness significantly influence attitudes as dominant determinants, reflecting the rational consideration of MSMEs regarding perceived economic benefits and business sustainability. Meanwhile, perceived ease of use does not directly influence attitudes but acts as a supporting factor that strengthens adoption by increasing perceived benefits. These findings indicate the importance of a comprehensive approach that considers functional, social, and contextual factors in driving the adoption of digital financing by MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of women's international migration on households' social and economic status after the COVID-19 pandemic in East Lombok district, as a contributing district to migrant women's labour in West Nusa Tenggara province. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis technique on 100 female former migrant worker respondents. The results showed that family social support and working conditions in the destination country significantly influenced the improvement of household economic status. In contrast, the economic motivation of migration did not directly have a significant effect. In addition, family social support and household economic status significantly affected household social status. In contrast, migration's working conditions and economic motivation were not significantly influenced. Another important finding is that household economic status is a significant mediator between migration economic motivation and household social status, but does not mediate the influence of social support or working conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence Green Consumer Behavior in the context of fast fashion trends. This research is a causal-based qualitative study of the Green Consumer Behavior scheme. Primary data was sourced from an online questionnaire. The population in this study was 200 respondents who exhibit impulsive behavior towards fashion products, but it should be noted that they also care about the environment. For data analysis, the tool used was Smart-PLS, a tool with SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). Consumer Environmental Responsibility, Perceived Value, Environmental Knowledge, and Environmental Concern positively and significantly influence Green Consumer Behavior. Consumer Environmental Responsibility also shows positive and significant relationships with Perceived Value and Environmental Concern, while Environmental Knowledge does not significantly affect Environmental Concern. Environmental Concern mediates the effects of Consumer Environmental Responsibility and Perceived Value on Green Consumer Behavior but not that of Environmental Knowledge. The findings show that consumer environmental responsibility and perceived value are key drivers of green consumption through environmental awareness. Governments and fashion brands should enhance moral responsibility and highlight sustainable product value. The study’s regional scope and cross-sectional design limit its ability to capture behavioral changes over time.
