Abstract

This study is categorized in exploratory research and included in the descriptive analysis. The population of this research is all lecturers in UIN Alauddin Makassar, Indonesia. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling which sample criterion used is civil servant lecturers who occupy structural positions. The sample size uses maximum likelihood (ML) with 105 numbers of samples. In this study, the techniques used include questionnaire; observation; interviews, and documentation. The method of analysis used in this research is structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis. Findings of this research are female leadership style influence on the locus of control and job satisfaction; organizational culture influences the locus of control and job satisfaction, meanwhile locus of control influence on job satisfaction.

Abstract

Mortgages are used as credit services provided by banks to customers who want a special loan to meet the needs in the construction of houses or home renovations that must be in accordance with the procedures that have been specified as a condition of completeness of KPR. Data collection methods in the preparation of this research is a qualitative research method with one case study in calculating the profit generated by Bank BTN (Bank Tabungan Negara) can be calculated by using the ratio. One of the ratios used is the profitability ratio. In the ratio of profitability, there are ratios such as: ROA (Return On Asset), ROE (Return On Equity), NIM (Net Interest Margin), and BOPO (Operational Cost). To find out the ROA (Return On Asset) ratio, net income after tax and income is required. As for calculating ROE (Return On Equity) ratio required net income after interest and taxes and capital. And for NIM (Net Interest Margin) ratio required total net profit after tax and income, while BOPO (Operational Cost) required operational and operational income. Analysis of financial statements is very important to do because at this stage the financial statements that have been calculated on the ratio already described, the ratio results obtained by PT. Bank BTN (Bank Tabungan Negara) may be decided to comply with the provisions of the BI standard provisions.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to analyze the influence of disclosure policy, funding policy, dividend policy on IOS and to analyze the difference of IOS influence on disclosure policy, fund policy and dividend policy in the company grow and not grow. The population in this study were companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange there are 509 companies. The sample was chosen by purposive sampling method as many as 88 companies. Methods of data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis and independent t-test. The result of data analysis shows that the company disclosure policy has no effect on IOS. Funding policies as measured by Book Debt Equity companies had a significant effect on IOS. The dividend policy measured by the House of Representatives had no significant effect on IOS. There were IOS differences, disclosure policies, funding policies and dividend policies in the company growing and not growing.

Abstract

Electronic commerce in the world is becoming an increasingly popular form of trade. Most shoppers start looking for products, descriptions and quality features online before buying a product. In order to provide customers with more convenience, more and more companies and existing stores are setting up their own online stores where a person can buy at a convenient time, even at night when regular stores are no longer working. Online stores allow you to save time spent by a person searching for a particular product and driving through shops. The article analyzes the concept of e-commerce, the advantages and disadvantages of electronic commerce, and the situation of electronic commerce in Lithuania.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are: (1) to investigate the development of global competitiveness index (GCI) of ASEAN-7 countries as an illustration of economic performance and potentiality, (2) to investigate which factors or pillars are drivers for the improvement of GCI ASEAN-7 countries, and (3) to analyze the effect of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on GCI of ASEAN-7 countries. The analysis method used in calculating the weight of the contribution of each pillar to changes in the competitiveness index, and determining the effect of GDP on GCI, a Semi-Logarithmic Regression analysis is used. The result shows that during the period of year 2008/2009 to the year of 2016/2017, the rank and index of GCI of each ASEAN-7 countries continue to increase. The pillars of the basic requirement subindex still dominate the largest contribution to the improvement of the competitiveness index for Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. As for Malaysia and Singapore sub-indexes of efficiency enhancers and innovation-sophistication have been able to give the largest contribution to the improvement of GCI.  The GDP of ASEAN-7 countries has a positive and significant impact on the improvement of global competitiveness index, except for Thailand. The most problematic factors in improving the competitiveness index are corruption, inadequately educated labour, access to financing, tax regulations, and inefficient government bureaucracy.

Abstract

Technology and internet has driven innovation and new opportunities by digitizing every customer, company, product, service, and process. In digital era, company has potential to touch all aspects of the business, including customers,  employees, partners,  business processes, and also global network of businesses and things from every industry around the world. Today, what will business leader do with digital business advantage has become a challange. The objective of this paper is to describe the concept of transformational leadership as a hallmark of future digital business leader. From evidence in literatures, in many successful organizations, transformational leaders have contributed to increase the effectiveness and performance of the organizations. By using descriptive method with phenomenological approach, the practice of transformational leadership of Nadiem Makarim as founder of GO-JEK Indonesia (an Indonesian-owned and run technology start-up that specialises in ride hailing, logistics, and digital payments) is examined. Then, this paper provides review about how Makarim’s leadership philosophy and practice has brought GO-JEK into success, Indonesia’s biggest start-up.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Responsive and Proactive Market Orientation on Product Innovation and Company Performance. The population in this study is the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) in the Culinary Division at D.I. Yogyakarta and use 200 respondents as a sample. By using convenience sampling technique, the researchers have the freedom to choose any culinary MSME found around D.I. Yogyakarta to be the respondent. Hypothesis testing using Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis. The findings show that there is a positive influence of responsive market orientation on product innovation performance, proactive market orientation on product innovation performance, product innovation performance on the company's market performance, and the company's market performance on the company's financial performance. The findings of this study contribute to MSMEs that information about market orientation adopted by business actors or companies can affect the performance of new product innovations in the market to improve the company's market performance which then affects the company's financial performance.

Abstract

Equality in an employment opportunity or commonly known Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) is still not entirely applicable to a person with disabilities. World Report on Disability record 15,3 percent of the world population is the person with disabilities at 2010. Most of the person with disabilities had not taken part in the mainstream of social activity and mostly relied on social aid, including in Indonesia, where 74,7 percent from the total of a person with disabilities are unemployed. Their living expenses and necessities mostly sustained by their own family, government, or social organization – which had caused a considerable loss for concerned parties. This research intended to discover factors that influence the low employment of a person with disabilities in Indonesia, then aim for the correlations between those factors to the acceptance of employer for a person with disabilities, as well as recommending concerned employer or organizations in supporting employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. Research methodology is done by the survey to an employee about their viewpoint towards workers with disabilities, and data processing is done by SPSS software. Results of research show that education level and design of work procedure significantly affect the low employment rate of workers with disabilities in Indonesia. Further studies and development required to elaborate proper job design for a worker with disabilities, also for developing education system for workers with disabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of public service on the Micro-Small Enterprise (MSE) developments in Indonesia. The study method used was regression analysis panel data with fixed effect approach; because of the limited data availability, the data was only taken from 2013-2015. The study findings show that public service and education projected by gross participation data have a positive influence on the development of MSE, while the economic growth and minimum wage policy have a negative influence on the development of MSE in Indonesia. Based on those findings, this study concludes that the public service in the form of government spending allocation policy, especially on the service and economic functions, will stimulate the increase of MSE numbers.

Abstract

Peace defined means the absence of war. War and peace have always been not only military but also political issues advantage. Educational systems are confronted with exceptional challenges during violent conflict. During the conflict International humanitarian law is particularly important. Geneva Conventions a specific reference to protection related to education in wartime. Education peace is also related to the creation of values and skills that help students achieve fullness a life that embraces all people. Education peace relates to aid pupils to recognize many forms and causes violence and promote values and skills to live society. Peace marketing is trying to influence social behavior, change attitudes, habits, and not to the marketing person, but to  the benefits of society in general. Article analyzes peace education concepts, role education in promoting peace marketing, universities peace initiative.
