Abstract

Digital transformation requires students to develop digital skills to support learning and prepare for the demands of the workplace. This study aimed to describe the digital skills profile of Grade 11 students in the Mechanical Engineering Program at SMKN 4 Kota Serang based on the DigComp 2.2 framework. The study employed a mixed-methods approach with an embedded design. The respondents comprised 65 students selected through total sampling, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews with six students. Quantitative data were collected using a 10-item open-ended test covering the five DigComp 2.2 competence areas and were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that 55 students (84.62%) were classified at the Intermediate level, 9 students (13.85%) at the Basic level, and 1 student (1.54%) at the Advanced level. All five competence areas were classified at the Intermediate level, with the highest mean score observed in Safety (3.14) and the lowest in Information and Data Literacy (2.97). These findings indicate the need to strengthen students' digital skills through contextual and project-based learning
