Abstract

The role of a woman in the household has a strategic position in maintaining household food security. A woman has an important role in selecting food to process them into food for the household. This research was aimed at recognizing: (1) Household food security condition of women peasant in Banyumas Regency; (2) The Factors that influenced the role of women peasant in efforts to achieve food security at household level in Banyumas Regency, and (3) The Factors that influenced the thediversivication patterns in Banyumas regency.

Abstract

The rapid development of tourism have an impact on the declining interest of young people working in farming and followed with the increasing conversion of farmland to non agriculture. Beside that, the contribution of agricultural sector' to GDP tends to decrease. This condition results in the preservation and the existing of subak, because it is not possible to keep the existing of subak without the sufficient agricultural field. In addition, preservation for sustainable agricultural development is not possible without keeping the existing of subak.

Abstract

The objective of this research are: (1) Analyzing the response of apple farmers to the agricultural industrialization in Poncokusumo Village, and (2) Identify social economic factors that influence the decisions of farmers to the agricultural industrialization in Poncokusumo Village. The location choosing by purposively in Poncokusumo Village because it is currently implementing agropolitan concept with agricultural industrialization program and apple is one of the leading agricultural commodities are widely cultivated in this area.

Abstract

Poor peasants who are very sensitive in economic domain, decreasing and harvest failure will cause againts to hold in livelihood. Subsisten morality and safety of peasants to yield risk and decrease probability of harvest. It is not maximize profit oriented. In that context, peasant have rejected market economic which were maximal profit oriented. Basically, rural community have to much local knowledge or local wisdom that are key to recognise socio cultural of community. This study in the first aimed: (1) to discribe how holding strategy of Samin community to face outsider; (2) to describe how adaptation strategy of Samin vcommunity for change.

Abstract

Increased production and income of farmers in the district of Manokwari will affect the purchasing power of farmers to food needs. Adequate food needs will have implications for the fulfillment of nutritional adequacy for farmers. Insufficient food needs can describe the level of food security at farm household. This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that influence the level of food security of farm households in the district of Manokwari.

Abstract

Economic development is identified by the structural transformation of the economy as quickly is of an economy that relies on agriculture into a modern industrial economy and the all-services complex. The study aims to identify the role of agriculture in the district of Sukoharjo by analyzing the performance, the ability of employment absorption and create job opportunities for other sectors. This research uses descriptive analytical method with a basis of primary data in the form of GrossRegional Domestic Product data and the amount of agricultural and non-agricultural sector labor in Sukoharjo district.

Abstract

Natural resources management especially agriculture land management at Keduang Sub-Watershed will be influence of environment quality, physic (erosion, sedimentation, and debit Keduang River), chemistry (water quality) and socio economic aspect. This research aim to know the level of erosion happened in Keduang Sub-Watershed and to know the economic value of erosion in Keduang Sub-Watershed, Wonogiri Regency.

Abstract

The Purpose of study is to evaluate the success of rural agribusiness development program(PUAP) and study the social capital of farmer groups in the success of the program in Manokwari. The results showed that the success of the indicator output is achieved; 100 percent of the funds channeled to Gapoktan, while the funds channeled to farmers and farmer groups by 86.53 percent. The accuracy oftarget beneficiaries reached 100 per cent assistance to farmers fell "poor", yet seem to an increase in the ability of the human resource on PUAP assistance. The achieved of the outcome indicators are about 5:45 percent. Farmer groups are successful in both indicators shows that the group dynamics that occur areof mutual trust among the farmers in both the group and to the joint brand of farmer groups, the rules are made together and built a network of relatifly stronger, that are social capital of farmer groups.

Abstract

Karapan sapi is no longer known as a cultural ritual on the farm, but there is a shift function to be a race or a championship. This study aims to determine 1) the motivation that drives owners to follow karapan sapi, and 2) determine the impact of a shift in cultural values of  karapan sapi from social and economic aspects. The data used as discussion material is primary and secondary data derived from interviews with karapan cow owners, department of tourism, and the police. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively.

Agreements in the countries of Southeast Asia for ASEAN Economic Community indicate cooperation for the future co-exists within the community towards a better welfare, especially in fulfillment of food sufficiency. Stable food supply is a priority in the national food security. This paper aims to analyze the relationship between the stock of corn and soybeans in relation to macro conditions ASEAN region.
