Abstract

As the largest coconut producing area, coconuts in Kulonprogo Regency have not provided a good income to the farmers. Developing a coconut agroindustry at the farmer’s group level is a way to increase the farmer’s income. For that reason, it is important to determine the most economically suitable type of coconut agroindustry and its financial feasibility.

Abstract

The existence of farmer’s institutions become important at agricultural development in a country. This institutions are necessary in order to improve the competitiveness of farmers in developing agribusiness system in Indonesia. Strong farmer institutions are increasingly necessary in the of globalization and free trade era. Farmer institutions are as a means of expanding the capacities of farmers toward self-relience. This paper describes two things, namely: (1) Urgency of the existenceof farmer institutions, and (2) strategy in the development of farmer’s institutions.

Abstract

Lettuce is one of the most popular leaf vegetables that has a high economic value. Lettuce can be the potential leaf vegetables to be cultivated hydroponically and can be used as a source of additional income for the family. Therefore, the feasibility study of hydroponic lettuce cultivation of the household scale is needed. This study aims to know the feasibility of hydroponic lettuce cultivation of household scale by using Net Present Value (NPV), the value of Payback Periode (PP), and the B/C ratio. This research was conducted in Grendeng village, North Purwokerto sub-district, Banyumas district from September until December 2019. The results showed that the NPV was Rp. 24,130,112.00; the value of the B/C ratio was 3.51; and PP value was 2 months 28 days, so it can be concluded that the business is feasible to be implemented.

Abstract

This research aims to understanding the amount of remittance and its contribution toward the income farm households at Wonogiri regency. The result analysis shows that remittance up to Rp. 1.331.984 or 12,43% total income farm household.

Abstract

This research aim to know the level of Pengelolaan Tanaman Terpadu (PTT) of paddy field in Subdistrict of Kebasen Banyumas Regency. Research conducted by using description method. Location of the research choice by purposive sampling with the consideration that research location represent the first area multiply to apply PTT in Banyumas Regency. Sample taken as much 60 farmer by using method of simple random sampling. Research data obtained through by interview to the sample. Hereinafter research data analysed by using percentage calculation to existing indicator of PTT. Result of research indicate that the level of applying PTT paddy field as a whole equal to 76,67%.

Abstract

Integrated Crops Management Field School (ICM-FS) of Paddy is a strategic programfrom Ministry of Agriculture. ICM-FS is designed to accelerate ICM to the farmer. ICM-FS has been held at Bangka Belitung since 2009. Some of strategic are needed to be formulate, in order to develop this program. The experiment was conducted in March - August 2011. The location of this experiment was choosen purposively at South Bangka and Central Bangka. The experiment was conducted with the survey approach. Respondents were selected by purposive random sampling consisting of ICM-FS participating farmers, farmer cooperators, agricultural extension and related agencies.

Abstract

Durian (Durio zibethinus Murray) is a commodity fruits included in horticulture has a high economic value. Demand of durian both to be consumed and processed as dampuk in each season is increasing. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of farming and marketing of durian in Kota Palopo. The survey was conducted in Palopo City in May to December 2010. The results showed that the human resources of agribusiness commodities have the potential on farm characteristics and traders. The application of commodity production technologies is still unintensive due to the unqualified of seed. Durian farming in Palopo City is very beneficial (IRR = 28.44%) with plant economic life of 15 years. The market of Palopo durian are Palopo market town, Makassar, and the outside of the district/ province/island.
