VOLT: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Teknik Elektro (Scientific Journal of Electrical Engineering Education) [ISSN: 2528-5688, e-ISSN: 2528-5696], is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by Department of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA) in collaboration with Asosiasi Dosen dan Guru Vokasi Indonesia (ADGVI) - Association of Indonesian Vocational Educators (AIVE). The aim of this journal is to publish high-quality articles to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of Electrical Engineering Education, Vocational Education and Electrical Engineering. The journal invites scientists, teachers, lecturers, practitioners, engineers throughout the world to exchange and disseminate theoretical and practice-oriented topics of Electrical Engineering Education, Vocational Education, and Electrical Engineering which covers 8 majors areas of research that includes: 1) Electrical Engineering Education, 2)Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), 3) Vocational Education, 4) Engineering Education, 5) Electronics Engineering Education, 6) Information and Communication Technology Education, 7) Mechatronics Education, and 8) Electrical Engineering (Power, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Telecommunication and Multimedia, Computer and Informatics Engineering, Signal/Image Processing, etc.). It was first published in 2016. VOLT regularly published twice in a year on April and October.

Abstract

The competence acquired participants of field work practice (FWP) are not all in accordance with the competency of skills in Electrical Vocational High School. This research aims to know the discrepancy of organizing FWP Electrical Vocational High School, in terms of: (1) planning of program, (2) implementation of program, (3) assessment of programs, (4) financing of program. Data collection using the closed questionnaire, interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed using mixed method with sequential explanatory design. Research results are known: (1) the success of the program planning aspects of FWP with a mean of 78.74% and discrepancy of 21.26%, (2) the success of program implementation aspects of FWP with average 84.37% and discrepancy 15.63%,  (3) the success of the program assessment aspects of FWP with a mean of 79.64% and 20.36% amounting to discrepancy, (4) the success of financing program aspects of FWP with a mean of 55.83% and discrepancy of 44.17%.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan mengetahui dalah hal tingkat pemahaman, evektivitas dan kendala yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode Problem Based Instruction. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode Wawancara, Observasi, Dokumentasi, Studi Pustaka sedangkan metodologi analisis data menggunakan statistik diskriptif dengan mikrosoft office excel. Hasil olah data dari peneltian dapat di ketahui pada a)aspek pemahaman mahasiswa sangat baik, b)aspek evektivitas pembelajaran hasil sangat baik, c)sedangkan aspek kendala mahasiswa dengan hasil cukup. Dengan hasil yang telah diolah dapat disimpulkan a)aspek pemahaman mahasiswa dapat dikatakan bahwa mahasiswa sudah memahami bagaimana  dasar terkait bagaimana mneyusun proposal baik penelitian atau proposal skripsi, dengan memahami mata kuliah metode penelitian. b)aspek evektivitas dalam pembelajaran sudah baik dimana penerapan metode Problem Based Instruction yang  di terapkan  mahasiswa lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran, berpikir kritis, termotivasi, dan mendapatkan tambahan ilmu pengetahuan dalam membuat proposal . c)sedangakn asfek kendala,  ada sedikit kendala bagi mahasiswa terhadap pemunculan ide dan pengolahan data hasil penelitian. Dengan adanya tugas, diskusi, dan berkomunikasi dengan baik antara mahasiswa dengan dosen diharapkan menjadi solusi  terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning) pada Mata Kuliah Praktek Instalasi Listrik Industri di Jurusan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah Quasy Experiment, subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Teknik Elektro Industri (D4) Jurusan Teknik Elektro FT UNP yang mengambil Mata Kuliah Praktek Instalasi Listrik Industri. Dimana terdiri dari 2 Grup Praktek yang masing-masing berjumlah 16 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah langkah-langkah dalam kinerja dan hasil produk. Hasil yang diperoleh nilai rata-rata kinerja 82,3, sedangkan pada hasil penilaian produk diperoleh nilai rata-rata 88,75. Dari pencapaian hasil pembelajaran mahasiswa dengan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam kategori tinggi (45%), dan sangat tinggi (55%), Sehingga disimpulkan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop interactive multimedia-based learning media that can improve student understanding of the material DC-DC converters and AC-AC converter. The methods used to research and development with the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model. The subject of the study was a student of electrical engineering education. Data-collecting instruments in the form of a questionnaire. Analytical techniques descriptive data to describe the validity, practicalities, and effectiveness of interactive multimedia-based learning media. The results of this study indicate that interactive multimedia-based learning media on subjects of electronics material power DC-DC converter and AC-AC converter is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan trainer operasi motor listrik berbasis smart relay sebagai media pembelajaran dan menguji kelayakan trainer sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development. Berdasarkan metode tersebut, yang dilakukan adalah merencanakan dan membangun trainer smart relay, kemudian diberikan kepada sekolah untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menguji kelayakan dan uji coba trainer smart relay dengan memberikan angket kepada 3 guru dan 33 siswa kelas XII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelayakan trainer smart relay dari 33 siswa diperoleh dari empat indikator memperoleh skor 87,39%, 81,94%, 84,24% dan 81,09% dengan dua indikator masuk kategori “sangat layak” dan dua indikator masuk kategori “layak”. Sedangkan uji validasi oleh 3 guru diperoleh skor masing-masing indikator 95%, 91,67%, 93,33%, dan 88,89% semuanya masuk kategori “sangat layak”.

Abstract

Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa SMK XI TKJ yang menggunakan mind mapping dengan menggunakan metode konvensional pada mata diklat embedded system di smk n 3 pariaman. Proses berikutnya adalah diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda terhadap 2 kelas, yang pertama mengunakan mind mapping dan yang kedua menggunakan metode konvensional. Selanjutnya adalah mengambil data tes akhir (post-test). Hasil nilai rata-rata post-test untuk kelas kontrol adalah sebesar 68,933. Nilai ini memiliki sedikit perbedaan dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen yang nilai rata-ratanya sebesar 78,032. Dilihat dari distribusi datanya juga menunjukkan perbedaan yang berarti. Nilai median dan modus hasil post-test (Y1) untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 68 sedangkan untuk kelas eksperimen (Y2) sebesar 80. Langkah berikutnya adalah melakukan pengujian hipotesis. Pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis komparasional menggunakan uji t. Dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan mind mapping lebih baik karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar dan memudahkan siswa dalam menyimpan informasi dalam otaknya karena mind mapping membuat catatan yang menarik dan mudah diingat

Abstract

The success or success of a company cannot be separated from the performance of employees in the company. To make a company successful, competent employees are needed. The Human Re-sources (HR) section is assigned to look for competent employees. Many ways are done by the HR department to obtain or produce competent employees, namely by evaluating employee perfor-mance. Performance appraisal is also a tool for superiors, especially HR in making decisions relat-ed to promotion promotion. Currently the performance appraisal is done by filling out the employ-ee performance form and then the data is processed using the Excel application. The more data that is processed, the greater the level of error in evaluating employee performance. Therefore, to reduce the error rate and produce more accurate data, an information system application that applies the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is applied. The SAW method which is com-bined with the application of fuzzy logic in giving weight to each assessment criterion is one of the appropriate methods in evaluating employee performance. The stages of the SAW method are by setting criteria and then determining the weight of each criterion, the next step is to determine the suitability rating that will produce a decision matrix. From the decision matrix will be calculated matrix normalization based on equations that have been adjusted to the type of benefit attributes so that the normalized matrix R is obtained, the last stage of the SAW method is a ranking process that will determine employees in promotion promotion. Based on the results of calculations using the SAW method, the results of employees with the name Diva Amelia get the highest rank and are entitled to get awards for their performance.

Abstract

Motor DC brushless (BLDCM) memiliki karakteristik kecepatan / torsi yang baik, efisiensi dan re-spon dinamis tinggi dan banyak diaplikasikan di industri dan propulsi kendaraan. BLDCM umumnya dikontrol menggunakan jembatan semikonduktor daya tiga fase. Pendeteksian posisi rotor menggunakan 3 sensor hall effect. Berdasarkan posisi rotor komponen switching secara berurutan aktif setiap 60 derajat yang disebut six step commutation. Untuk mencapai performa yang baik, BLDCM membutuhkan pengendali kecepatan yang sesuai. Dalam kasus motor magnet permanen, biasanya kontrol kecepatan menggunakan kontroler proporsional-integral (PI). Pen-gendali ini menimbulkan kesulitan di mana ada beberapa kompleksitas kontrol seperti non-linear dan  gangguan beban dan variasi parametrik. Selain itu pengendali PI membutuhkan model ma-tematika linear yang tepat. Penelitian ini membahas Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) untuk kontrol kecepatan dari BLDCM. FLC didesain untuk memperbaiki respon dinamis dari sistem penggerak motor dan meminimlisir error steady state. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan fuzzy logic controller berhasil memperbaiki performa BLDC dengan error steady state=0,66 rpm, RMSE= 6,33 rpm dan riak arus 0,899A.

Abstract

Lecturer Building is a facility that has full of activity and full of people inside from morning until afternoon. The Lecturer Building use in this research has a big problem with electricity utility which the energy source of the building until now still using limited fossil energy in its use. Another problem with the façade building was facing the sun in the morning. Then the temperature building was increasing and make uncomfortable conditions inside. Window integrated Solar PV or solar façade not only reducing incoming solar radiation but generate electricity.
