Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine the terminal velocity and fluid viscosity using falling ball viscometer with video tracker application. The terminal velocity is obtained by videoing the ball falling into a tube 115 cm long and 5 cm in diameter which has been filled with fluid and then the video is analyzed using tracker application. The fluids used are oil SAE 20W-50 and glycerin. The balls used are namely as balls I, II, and III with diameters of 1,09cm, 1,56cm, and 1,57cm. Once the terminal velocity of the sphere is known, the fluid viscosity is obtained by using Stokes law principle. The terminal velocities of balls I, II, and III in oil SAE 20W-50 are 0.247m/s, 0.250m/s, and 0.187m/s, while the terminal velocities of balls in glycerin are 0.092m/s, 0.090m/s, and 0.065m/s. The average fluid viscosity of oil SAE 20W-50 and glycerin are 0,834Ns/m2 and 1,807Ns/m2.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the understanding of basic physics concepts I batch 2020 based on the entry path to the physics education study program of the tarbiyah faculty and teacher at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The sample used in this study was a saturated sample, namely all 67 students of physics education class of 2020, totaling 67 people. The data collection instrument used was 10 essay questions on understanding basic physics concepts I, with descriptive statistical data analysis techniques and inferential statistics, namely the one way ANOVA test. Based on the results of data analysis using descriptive statistics, the results of the SPAN entry route were in the medium category, the UMPTKIN entry route was in the low category and the UMM entry route was in the medium category. Furthermore, for the inferential statistics between the SPAN entry route between UMPTKIN, the UMPTKIN entry route between UMM and the UMM entry route between SPAN, there is a difference in understanding of the basic physics concept I batch 2020 based on the entry path to the physics education study program, tarbiyah faculty and teacher at UIN Alauddin Makassar. Abstract

Student response to the effectiveness of simple props as a physics learning media in charles law materials at SMA Unggulan BPPT Darus Sholah Jember to find out student opinions regarding props used in class. The method used is descriptive statistical method. The instrument of this research used a closed questionnaire. The research subjects were 21 students of 11th grade science class, SMA Unggulan BPPT Darus Sholah Jember. Data analysis technique with validity and reliability test. Based on the results of the validity test that has been carried out, the data as many as 10 questions are declared valid and the reliability test of 0.875 is declared reliable. The results of the average percentage effectiveness of the overall statement amounted to 89,037% classified as very effective. This means that simple props on Charles's law material are very effective as a medium for learning physics.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang analisis respon mahasiswa jurusan teknik mesin angkatan 2020 Politeknik Negeri Bandung terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Phet Simulation pada praktikum keseimbangan telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa respon penerimaan mahasiswa dan menguji kebermanfaatan aplikasi Phet Simulation pada praktikum keseimbangan mata kuliah fisika terapan. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Adapun metode yang digunakan diantaranya studi pengembangan modul praktikum momen gaya dan keseimbangan, pembuatan modul disertai video pengantar petunjuk praktikum, pengujian modul oleh mahasiswa, dan survey respon mahasiswa menggunakan kuisioner. Survey yang dilakukan terdiri dari survey pilihan persetujuan dan survey tanggapan verbal tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil survey dapat disimpulkan 82,8% mahasiswa jurusan Teknik Mesin Politeknik Negeri Bandung menerima dan merasakan manfaat penggunaan aplikasi Phet Simulation pada kegiatan perkuliahan praktikum keseimbangan mata kuliah fisika terapan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of video learning physics for business and energy based on Microsoft Office PowerPoint. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) which is limited to the Development stage. The research instrument used was a validation questionnaire sheet where 3 validators were used to test the feasibility of the material, media, and language. In addition, other research instruments used were in the form of a readability questionnaire that was distributed to students. The data analysis technique uses the Ideal Standards. The results showed that the average score of the feasibility test by the validator was 99.6 with the "Good" category and the results of the readability test by the students were 44.9 with the "Very Good" category, so the learning video developed was included in the appropriate category. to be tested. The product of this research can be used as an independent learning medium for students.

Abstract

This study aims to find the right theoretical approach for real pendulum oscillations with large angles and include the air damping factor. Video of real pendulum oscillations were analyzed using Tracker software, to obtain experimental data. The real pendulum motion equation is modeled by a second order nonlinear differential equation by including linear damping, quadratic damping and damping on the pendulum string. The pendulum motion equation is solved by the 4th Order Runge-Kutta method then the results are compared with the experimental data. Modeling by considering quadratic damping and string damping is closer to the real phenomenon of pendulum motion than only considering linear damping.

Abstract

The research aims to find out the differences in increasing conceptual understanding. students who are taught and not taught use the quantum teaching model assisted by a video-based contextual laboratory. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental research, using Matching pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that the Quantum Teaching learning model using the Video Based Contextual Laboratory had an effect on the understanding of physics concepts for students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the generative learning model on physics learning outcomes in class XI IPA 1 SMAN 15 Konawe Selatan. This study uses an experimental method with a non-equivalent control design research design, in this design there is a pretest and posttest for the experimental and control classes. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, namely class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. The results showed that there was an effect of the generative learning model on physics learning outcomes after treatment in the experimental class and control class with tcount > ttable or 2,7 > 2,005. So it can be concluded that the effective generative learning model can improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the discovery learning model assisted by LKPD based on a scientific approach to the learning outcomes of physics in fluid materials. The method used is a pre-experimental design, with a research design of one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the research that has been done, the average pretest score for learning outcomes is 71.40 in sufficient criteria. Meanwhile, the posttest average of students' learning outcomes was 81.25, indicating that students' learning outcomes were in good criteria. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis testing with the paired sample t-test, showed the value of sig. 0.000 which means <0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students before and after being given treatment. And the results of the n-gain test to determine the increase in student learning outcomes obtained the average learning outcomes before and after learning using the discovery learning learning model has increased in the medium category. This shows that the discovery learning model assisted by LKPD based on a scientific approach is effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contextual-based instrument of the game assisted by the kahoot quiz to measure students' critical thinking skills. The design in this study is Research and Development with a limited trial on 10 students of class X-Mipa 2 and a broad trial on 30 students of class X-Mipa 5. The data taken in this study are content validation by experts, validity, reliability , level of difficulty, and differentiating power, questionnaires on student responses to the instrument, and tests of critical thinking skills. The results showed that the percentage of appropriateness according to material experts was 93.33% and media experts was 81.05% with very feasible criteria. Student responses to the assessment instrument received a positive response from all students. Critical thinking ability as measured by the instrument got an average score of 64 with good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that the contextual-based instrument assisted by the Kahoot quiz is used to measure students' critical thinking skills
