Abstract

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan rancang bangun sistem pengaturan suhu dan volume pelarut pada ultrasound assisted extraction. Sistem ini terdiri dari pompa, mikrokontroler, termocouple, termocontroller dan sensor suhu LM35 yang bertujuan untuk menghindari pengenceran ekstrak dan meningkatkan transfer massa sehingga mendapatkan hasil ekstraksi yang lebih baik. Pompa menyala sesuai dengan perintah yang diberikan ke mikrokontroler selanjutnya dilakukan pembacaan nilai ADC oleh sensor suhu LM35 yang kemudian dikonversi ke dalam nilai temperatur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, sistem mampu mengontrol volume pelarut dengan nilai error sebesar 2,38%, memantau suhu dalam wadah ekstraksi menggunakan sensor suhu LM35 dengan nilai error sebesar 0,70% dan mengontrol suhu menggunakan termokontroler dengan kestabilan sistem sebesar 96,16%.

Abstract

Thermoplastic and thermoset polymer composites reinforced with kenaf fiber or CaCO3 have been extensively investigated. However, the study on the combination of kenaf fiber and CaCO3 reinforced epoxy resin is rare. This research discussed the effect of CaCO3 particle size and the ratio of kenaf to CaCO3 content on the impact strength of alkali-treated kenaf/ CaCO3/epoxy resin hybrid composites. Thirty % of the hybrid kenaf fibers and CaCO3 particles reinforced epoxy resin composites were fabricated by hand lay-up technique followed by cold press. Impact test of the composite specimens was conducted using a Charpy Impact test according to ASTM D 6110. The morphology of impact fracture surface was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that the impact strength of the hybrid composite increased with the decrease of CaCO3 particle size, and increasing the ratio of kenaf to CaCO3. Interfacial bonding between the reinforcement (kenaf and CaCO3) and epoxy resin matrix, the uniform dispersion of kenaf and CaCO3 within the epoxy resin matrix are two crucial factors influencing the impact strength of the composite.

Abstract

The utilization of Indigo tinctoria as a DSSC sensitizer has been done to study the effect of I. tinctoria’s immersion time on DSSC efficiency. One of the most essential components in DSSC is a sensitizer or dye. In this work, the dye has been used in DSSC is the natural indigo dye from I. tinctoria leaves. The extraction was done by dissolving 50 grams of I. tinctoria leaves in 500 mililiters aquades and soaking in various time: 12, 24, 36, and 48 hours. The optical properties of dye solution was characterized by UV-Vis spectrophotometer and the current-voltage of DSSC was characterized by Keithley I-V Meter. The highest absorbance is 2.7 of 48h dye solution, but the best efficiency of DSSC is 5.39 x 10-3 % that owned 24 h cell.

Abstract

Material Kobalt Nikel (CoNi) merupakan paduan penting karena memiliki sifat kemagnetan yang baik diantaranya yaitu temperatur curie dan koersivitas yang tinggi. komposisi, struktur alloy dan ukuran sisi kubus bahan berpengaruh terhadap temperatur Curie dan koersivitas. Simulasi mikromagnetik dilakukan pada material Co0,8Ni0,2 dengan struktur random alloy dan double layers untuk menentukan nilai temperatur Curie dan analisis kurva histerisis. Simulasi material Co0,8Ni0,2 dilakukan menggunakan software Vampire dengan variasi ukuran sisi kubus yang digunakan yaitu 5 nm, 8 nm, 10 nm, 12 nm, dan 15 nm. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan nilai temperatur Curie semakin meningkat dengan bertambahnya ukuran sisi kubus. Pada material Co0,8Ni0,2 double layers diperoleh nilai temperatur Curie lebih tinggi dari pada material Co0,8Ni0,2 random alloy. Karakteristik kurva histerisis pada material Co0,8Ni0,2 random alloy dan double layers menunjukkan bahwa nilai koersivitas meningkat seiring bertambahnya ukuran sisi kubus. Namun pada material Co0,8Ni0,2 random alloy ketika ukuran bahan yang diberikan 12 nm dan 15 nm nilai medan koersivitasnya semakin menurun, dibandingkan saat ukuran 10 nm. Pada ukuran sisi kubus 10 nm dikatakan sebagai ukuran terbaik dari material Co0,8Ni0,2 random alloy ditinjau dari nilai medan koersivitas yang besar.

Abstract

Information about the eastern side subsurface stones of Mount Lawu regarding geothermal potential is limited. This research was conducted to provide information regarding geothermal potential in those area by using the gravity method. We did a 18 sites of gravity surveys in eastern flank of Mount Lawu where located in Magetan regency, Ngawi regency and Sragen regency, East Java. The principle of this method is to measure the earth's gravity field, then the value of gravity is corrected by some gravity corrections, i.e. height, tide, drift, normal gravity, free-air, Bouguer and terrain corrections. The Complete Bouguer Anomaly (CBA) shows the formation that related to the rock formation in the subsurface of Mount Lawu. Based on CBA modelling we found that in the eastern flank of Mount Lawu contains of tuff and breccia of volcanic rocks, breccia Jabolarangan and tuff Jabolarangan, lava andesite, igneous rock (pumice), and sedimentary rocks in the form of sandstone and clay. We found a fault structure on six tracks of a research area. Otherwise, we estimated that there is a geothermal potential on the southeast side of the research area

Abstract

Sistem deteksi kantuk dirancang menggunakan Elektrokardiogram (EKG) dengan Jaringan Saraf Tiruan Radial Basis Function dan Particle Swarm Optimization (JST RBF-PSO). Karolinska Sleepiness Scale (KSS) menjadi acuan tingkat kantuk yang dikelompokkan menjadi kelas terjaga dan kelas mengantuk. Sistem ini menggunakan algoritma Pan-Tomkins untuk menentukan interval RR dari EKG. Fitur yang digunakan adalah 15 parameter fitur statistik. Pelatihan dan pengujian data menggunakan JST RBF-PSO dengan metode validasi silang. PSO digunakan untuk mengoptimasi parameter utama JST RBF yaitu bobot, pusat dan lebar. Sistem deteksi kantuk ini diuji menggunakan DROZY Database. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan akurasi sistem ini pada segmentasi 40 detik, jumlah neuron 150 dan 15 fitur statistik sebesar 88,36%.

Abstract

Fibrilasi Atrium (FA) merupakan jenis aritmia yang paling umum dengan peningkatan resiko 1,5 hingga 2 kali lipat dari semua penyebab kematian dan peningkatan morbiditas. FA Paroksismal (FAP) adalah salah satu tipe fibrilasi atrium. Studi mengenai FAP menunjukkan bahwa 20% - 30% individu dengan FA memiliki FAP. Penelitian untuk membuat model predictor tool FAP menggunakan Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan (JST) telah dilakukan. Fitur Statistik interval RR dijadikan fitur masukan pada JST Radial Basis Function (RBF) dengan optimasi menggunakan Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). Data Elektrokardiogram (EKG) yang digunakan adalah Atrial Fibrillation Prediction Database (AFPDB) dari PyhsioNet. Dengan target keluaran JST berupa PAF dan normal. Parameter RBF yang dioptimasi dengan PSO meliputi pusat, lebar dan bobot. Hasil fitur tunggal diperoleh bahwa sistem JST PSO-RBF lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan JST RBF dalam membuat model predictor tool FAP. Dengan variasi fitur statisitik diperoleh sistem prediksi FAP dengan akurasi, sensitivitas dan spesifitas secara berturut-turut bernilai 85,82%, 84,15% dan 87,78%.
