Abstract

This study examines the relationship between emotional intelligence and personality competence. The subjects of this study were 60 teachers of SMAN 1 Sungguminasa using total sampling techniques. Data retrieval used by using The emotional intelligence scale and personality competency scale. The data was  then processed using parametric statistics, namely Pearson product moment. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and personality competence. This shows that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and personality competence. The higher the emotional intelligence, the higher the personality competence.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) implementation of a learning model center in the development of expressive language of early childhood, and (2) The  factors that influence the development of early childhood expressive language in the center learning model. The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using: (1) Field observations to observe all activities carried out in TK Negeri 01 Tenggarong, (2) Methods of interviews conducted by teachers, students and principals of TK Negeri 01 Tenggarong, (3) Method of documentation, as supporting to obtain data in the field, and from the documentation / recording results are transcribed and grouped and then analyzed using a flow model, which starts with (a) data reduction, (b) data presentation, (c) conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the center learning model was instrumental in developing children's expressive language intelligence, because children can learn to communicate with other people in various ways, children are also able to express feelings, ideas with appropriate word choices when communicating (2) factors that influence the development of expressive language of early childhood in the center learning model are: health factors, intelligence factors, family socioeconomic status, gender, and family relationships.

Abstract

Research on shyness began to be widely performed, for it is deemed necessary to conduct a study of psychometric property of shyness scale, this scales made by researchers. This scale consists of four aspects, namely: cognitive, physiological, affective, and behavioral. Each aspect contains six items. This study aims to obtain a description of the aitem-total correlation, reliability, validity, and norms of shyness scale. The research respondents consisted of 690 college students. This study shows that the aitem-total correlatin range from 0.345 to 0.541. This study also shows that the shyness scale is reliable with Alpha Cronbach coefficient of 0.858. This study also shows that the shyness measuring instrument is valid in terms of concurrent validity, unidimensionality, and that the choice of answers given can be understood and can be distinguished by the subject of research. The study norms obtained from this study can be used with respect to the characteristics of the sample.Penelitian tentang shyness mulai banyak dilakukan, untuk itu dipandang perlu untuk melakukan kajian mengenai properti psikometrik yang dimiliki oleh alat ukur shyness yang dibuat oleh peneliti. Alat ukur tersebut terdiri atas empat aspek yaitu: kognitif, fisiologis, afektif, dan perilaku. Masing-masing aspek berisi enam aitem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran daya diskriminasi aitem, reliabilitas, validitas, dan norma dari alat ukur shyness. Responden penelitian terdiri atas 690 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa daya diskriminasi aitem bergerak dari 0,345 hingga 0,541. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pula bahwa alat ukur shyness tergolong reliabel dengan koefisien Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,858. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur shyness tergolong valid ditinjau dari validitas konkuren, unidimensionalitas alat ukur, dan bahwa pilihan jawaban yang diberikan dapat dimengerti serta dapat dibedakan oleh subjek penelitian. Norma penelitian yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan dengan memperhatikan karakteristik sampel.

Abstract

Komunitas merupakan sekelompok orang yang berkumpul bersama karena adanya kegiatan dan kegemaran yang sama. Melalui komunitas individu dapat memperoleh sumber informasi informal maupun dukungan dari komunitasnya. Adanya pemenuhan kebutuhan yang diperlukan, dapat meningkatkan sense of community. Sense of community dapat meningkatkan self-efficacy karena adanya pemenuhan kebutuhan akan informasi maupun dukungan yang dapat membantu individu agar dapat mengerjakan tugas hingga akhir. Self-efficacy adalah keyakinan individu terhadap kemampuan yang dimilikinya yang berguna agar individu dapat mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan hingga selesai. Tugas yang dimaksud adalah tugas dari komunitas kesenian. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tahap emerging adulthood (yang berusia 18 hingga 25 tahun) karena pada tahap ini individu berada pada masa transisi dari remaja menuju dewasa awal, dimana pada tahap ini lingkungan juga masih cukup mempengaruhi individu, termasuk self-efficacy. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif yang diikuti 104 responden (34 pria dan 70 wanita) yang mengikuti komunitas kesenian di Universitas X. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur Sense of Community Index-2 dan alat ukur self-efficacy. Selanjutnya, pengujian korelasi dilakukan dengan korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sense of community memiliki hubungan dengan self-efficacy (r=.247, p=.012). Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi sense of community individu, maka semakin tinggi pula self-efficacy. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah sense of community, maka semakin rendah pula self-efficacy individu.

Abstract

This research was aimed to measure the effect, marital commitment and forgiveness for lying in spouse marriage..  Covarians analysis  (Anacova) were used to examine the interaction between marital commitment and forgiveness for lying in spouse marriage. 100 subject were used to take the sample from Kelurahan Maricaya and Kelurahan Kampung Buyang.  The sample were selected by purposive sampling and instrument used were forgiveness questionnaire and marital commitment questionnaire. The study reported on here concludes that there is positive correlation between marital commitment and forgiveness for lying. Effective contribution or R square 0.222, that marital commitment explained forgiveness for lying 22,2 %. Marital commitment 0.195; t hit = 2.055; p= 0.043 (p < 0.05). The existence of a strong marriage commitment will be easier in forgiving lies in marriagePenelitian Ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komitmen perkawinan pada pemaafan terhadap kebohongan pasangan dalam perkawinan. Analisis Kovarian digunakan untuk menguji komitmen perkawinan  dengan pemaafan terhadap  kebohongan pasangan  dalam perkawinan. Teknik Pengambilan sampel dengan cara teknik purposive. 100 orang responden yang berasal dari dua kelurahan yaitu kelurahan Maricaya dan Kelurahan Kampung Buyang dan menggunakan skala pemaafan dan skala komitmen perkawinan sebagai alat pengumpul data . Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan  adanya hubungan yang positif antara komitmen perkawinan dengan Pemaafan terhadap kebohongan. koefisien determinasi atau R Square  sebesar 0.222, yang menunjukkan bahwa komitmen dapat menjelaskan pemaafan terhadap kebohongan sebesar 22.2 %. Komitmen berpengaruh positif 0.195; t hit = 2.055; p= 0.043 (p < 0.05) pada pemaafan kebohongan dalam perkawinan. Adanya komitmen perkawinan yang kuat akan lebih mudah dalam memaafkan kebohongan yang ada dalam perkawinan

Abstract

Students are future leaders who are expected to have academic success as their primary goal. However,  academic demands  can  lead to students experiencing academic stress.This study aims to determine the effect of laughter therapy on reducing stress levels in students. Research subjects amounted to (N = 10), which is a force of 2015 that fall into the category of high and medium stress. The researchers used the experimental design of the one group pretest-posttest design using a double pretest. The measuring tool used is the scale of academic stress. Reliability of the measuring scale by calculating the Cronbach Alpha coefficient with a value of 0.822 which signifies high reliability. This research uses Friedman Test data analysis technique that is processed with SPSS version 22. The results showed that the value of Asymp. Sig. 0.000 then 0.000 <0,01, so there is influence of laughter therapy which is very significant to decrease level of academic stress in student of Strata 1 Faculty of Psychology Universitas Negeri Makassar. This study provides a new alternative to the decrease of academic stress level in the students.

Abstract

This cross cultural study has tried to correlate the influence of moral intensity on ethical decision making, for instance on the stage of moral awareness. The phenomenon is interesting to investigate more because there is a difference between individualism culture and collectivism culture in ethical decision making, especially in the correlation of moral intensity components that influence ethical decision making process (Heyler, Armenakis, Walker, & Collier, 2016; McMahon & Harvey, 2007; Saat, Yusoff, & Panatik, 2014; Singh, Vitell, Al-Khatib, & Clark, 2007). Planned behavior theory stated that an individu make a decision based on individual ability to control his or her decision, this theory has been applied in individualism culture (Ajzen, 1991). In other hand, collectivism culture has a different finding with planned behavior theory. An individu in collectivism culture tend to make a decision ethically based on social group control (Ashkanasy, Windsor, & Trevino, 2006; Saat et al., 2014). The different findings on both culture is interesting to discuss more, in order to understand how Indonesian employee as a collectivism culture, and to determine the right ethical training approach for them.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between perception of reflective learning and learning outcome of student of Psychology Program of Hasanuddin University. The data were collected trough a perception of reflective learning in form of a likert scale that was developed based on the concept of perception and reflective learning. Outcome learning is reviewed based on grade point average (GPA) of the sample. Research sample consisted of 103 student of Psychology Program of Hasanuddin University. The Data were analyzed by using Product Moment Correlation with SPSS 21 for windows. The Result showed significant value of 0.010 which smaller than 0.05 or 0.010 <0.05 which indicate that there is positice relation between student perceptions of reflective learning with Grade Point Average (GPA) in Psychology Program of Hasanuddin University. Pearson Correlation value in this study is 0254, which means the relationship between the two variables is strong enough based on the criteria of relationship strength Sarwono (2006).

Abstract

The discourse of leadership style in this study is part of the concept of spiritualias and religion in the workplace (spirituality and religion in the workplace-SRW) which can be an important study material for developing leadership theories to improve organizational outcomes in the midst of global environmental change. This study aims to examine the effect of three leadership styles namely prophetic leadership, spiritual leadership and transformational leadership on organizational commitment and work productivity in the organization. A total of 216 respondents from three organizations (business, public and non-profit) based on Islam in the Makassar-Indonesia region were involved in this study. Five measuring tools were used to gather information about the variables studied, namely the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire, Productivity, the SLT Survey Questions, the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire and L-Prophetic. Parametric inferential statistics in the form of multiple regression analysis and one-way ANOVA are used to reveal the results of each of the variables studied. The results of the study show that there are joint effects of three leadership styles on organizational commitment and work productivity. Of the three leadership styles, prophetic leadership style and dominant spiritual leadership influence organizational commitment and work productivity. In addition, the three leadership styles have the same dominance (existence) in nonprofit organizations. The results of this study enriched the concept of sharia-based prophetic leadership style that was useful for the development of SRW studies, Islamic Psychology and supported the spirit of Indigenous Psychology.

Abstract

Xsia21.xSIA.app was a digital archive system that simplified the lecturer in conducting, verifying and analysing the test result. The paperless method aimed to facilitate the participants to perform an examination without paper and pencil and for the lecturer to check the result as well. The participants in this study were 35 students. Participants filled four kinds of online assessment are questionare of paperless method, questionare of interview subject scale, true false test and multiple choice test. Test analysis used descriptive technique in xSIA web. The result of this study showed that positive responses enabled the participants show their positive emotion, share their opinion each other, receive the new experiences and represent their high interest. In addition, online test provided time efficiency and attractive design. The result of online test illustrated high score for most participants and proved that online test in Interview Subject offer a lot of advantages, either for students or lecturer.
