Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of internal locus of control on procrastination of students at SMP Negeri 3 Blora. The population in this study was 254 students, while the sample in this study was 155 students who were determined through a simple random sampling technique with a lottery method. Content validity was carried out using the expert judgment method, while construct validity used product moment correlation and reliability with alpha cronbach. The results of the internal locus scale validity test were 34 items with a reliability result of 0.991, while the procrastination scale was 22 items with a reliability result of 0.922. The data analysis used simple linear regression. Based on the results of data analysis, the Anova Table obtained a calculated F value of 23.291 with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), meaning that the regression mode can be used to predict participation variables. Other data in the Summary Table shows an R value of 0.363 which is greater than the r table of 0.157, meaning that there is a relationship between internal locus of control and academic procrastination in students at SMP Negeri 3 Blora of 13.2%, the rest is influenced by other variables that are not explained in this study. The results of this study can be used as reference material in compiling guidance and counseling programs that are preventive or problem solving for students

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of group counseling using cognitive restructuring techniques on the self-esteem of 7th-grade students in class VII C at SMPN 02. The method employed in this research is quantitative, utilizing an experimental design, specifically the one-group pretest-posttest design. The population under study consists of 30 students from class VII C, with 6 students selected as the sample through purposive sampling. The instrument used is a self-esteem questionnaire for middle school students. The results showed that the t-value was greater than the t-table (34.5824 > 2.13185), thus the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Therefore, the conclusion drawn from this study is that group counseling using cognitive restructuring techniques has an effect on students' self-esteem. It is hoped that this research will provide a positive contribution to the development of knowledge, particularly in the field of education, especially within the realm of guidance and counseling, in efforts to improve the quality of students, and serve as a reference for further research, thereby providing a foundation for future studies.

Abstract

Millennial and Generation Z students face increasingly complex career adaptation challenges due to the rapidly changing dynamics of the job market, including digitalization and market uncertainty. Low self-confidence and difficulties in managing career transitions are significant barriers in preparing them to enter the workforce. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of reframing techniques in career counseling to enhance the adaptability of Millennial and Generation Z students. Using a literature review method, this study analyzes the challenges of career adaptation and the potential for innovative interventions. The results indicate that students face obstacles such as low self-confidence and difficulties in managing career transitions. Reframing techniques are proposed as an approach to transform career adaptation paradigms through the integration of digital technology and consideration of contextual factors. The study concludes that career counseling using reframing techniques has the potential to comprehensively improve career adaptability, with recommendations for long-term measurement and the development of more integrative intervention models in higher education

Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes in socializing and association, especially among young adolescents. Unfortunately, along with it, negative trends have emerged, such as cyber aggression, which is influenced by the level of moral disengagement of students in justifying their detrimental behavior online. This study aims to analyze the influence of moral disengagement on cyber aggression behavior. The research approach used is quantitative, with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The research participants were 9th grade students at UPT SMPN 29 Gresik, totaling 130 people. Data collection used a moral disengagement and cyber aggression scale. Data analysis used a simple linear regression test technique. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of moral disengagement on cyber aggression of 22.8% with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. The implications of the study indicate the importance of preventive efforts for cyber aggression behavior by providing education on digital ethics and healthy use of social media.
