Abstract

In ever-developing social dynamics, understanding gender roles is becoming increasingly important. Previous research suggests that gender can influence how individuals respond to academic and emotional challenges, with factors such as religiosity and emotional intelligence playing an important role in this process. This study investigated gender differences in religiosity, emotional intelligence, and academic resilience among students aged 12–16 years. The method used is comparative quantitative. A total of 626 students (286 males and 340 females) were selected through simple random sampling. The data collection instruments used are the religiosity scale, emotional intelligence scale, and academic resilience scale, developed independently by the researcher and tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis uses the independent sample t-test. The results of data analysis on the religiosity variable show that there is a difference of 0.000 < 0.05 in the religiosity of male and female students. In contrast, the emotional intelligence and academic resilience variables show that there is a difference in emotional intelligence of 0.145 > 0.05 and academic resilience of 0.203 > 0.05 in boys and girls. Overall, the results of this analysis provide important insights into the influence of gender on several aspects of student psychology and behavior. These results can be used to design more inclusive and gender-sensitive educational policies and programs, as well as support the holistic personal development of all individuals, regardless of gender.

Abstract

Everyone has their own standard of physical form. But in reality, not everyone has a physique that matches the standards he has made. This triggers many people who are less confident with their physical form. This condition makes researchers carry out research that intends to see the effect of body image on self-confidence. This research uses correlational quantitative research with student subjects. This research instrument uses a body image scale and a self-confidence scale. Validity testing uses expert tests and trials, while reliability uses Cronbach's Alpha. This research data analysis technique uses the Linear Regression formula. The results of the research show that there is an effect of body image on students' self-confidence. The magnitude of the influence of Body Image on self-confidence is 35.8%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of internal locus of control on procrastination of students at SMP Negeri 3 Blora. The population in this study was 254 students, while the sample in this study was 155 students who were determined through a simple random sampling technique with a lottery method. Content validity was carried out using the expert judgment method, while construct validity used product moment correlation and reliability with alpha cronbach. The results of the internal locus scale validity test were 34 items with a reliability result of 0.991, while the procrastination scale was 22 items with a reliability result of 0.922. The data analysis used simple linear regression. Based on the results of data analysis, the Anova Table obtained a calculated F value of 23.291 with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), meaning that the regression mode can be used to predict participation variables. Other data in the Summary Table shows an R value of 0.363 which is greater than the r table of 0.157, meaning that there is a relationship between internal locus of control and academic procrastination in students at SMP Negeri 3 Blora of 13.2%, the rest is influenced by other variables that are not explained in this study. The results of this study can be used as reference material in compiling guidance and counseling programs that are preventive or problem solving for students

Abstract

Curriculum changes have operational consequences for their implementation by teachers as the frontline implementers. Not all teachers have easy access to curriculum socialization information, resulting in low understanding and difficulty in implementing the expected learning. On the other hand, elementary school is a transitional stage from preschool to formal school, which raises problems when children are not ready. Guidance and counseling (BK) as a party that can help intervene if there is a problem, there are no special personnel assigned to elementary schools. Guidance and counseling in elementary schools must still be carried out by class teachers. The golden age is at an early age (PAUD level) and early elementary school classes, requiring stimulation so that the development of various aspects is optimal. Class teachers with various administrative tasks and teaching tasks for almost all subjects will have difficulty providing stimulation for individual student development. The characteristics of lower and upper grade elementary school students are different, requiring a relevant BK learning/service approach. Child development problems can be experienced by children at the elementary school age stage, both in learning, personal, social, and career problems. Permendikbud 111 of 2014 has mandated that there are BK teachers in elementary schools, but its implementation in the field has not yet been realized. This article presents a study of various problems in elementary school children, furthermore it is expected that appropriate alternative solutions can be provided. After knowing the various problems in the field and also from theoretical studies, teaching materials or service materials can be developed that are enjoyable for students, in accordance with the development stage, and help facilitate class teachers in providing optimal development stimulation to their students.

Abstract

In a society still influenced by gender stereotypes, male and female adolescents tend to develop different self-concepts. This study aims to examine differences in self-concept among university students based on gender. Using a quantitative approach with a comparative design, the research involved 990 participants selected through a probability sampling method. Data were collected using a self-concept scale. Normality testing revealed that the data were not normally distributed (p < 0.005), whereas the homogeneity test indicated homogeneous data (p > 0.05). The Mann-Whitney test revealed a significant difference in self-concept between male and female students (p<0.05). Specifically, male students scored higher on the expectation aspect (Mean = 33), while female students scored higher on the self-evaluation aspect (Mean = 36). These findings highlight the importance of implementing gender-sensitive counseling services to support and strengthen adolescent self-concept in a balanced and inclusive manner.
