Abstract

Gaya Teknik Utama (GTU) is SMEs supplier AHM, which produces sparepart. SMEs must follow very strict standards in quality, both product quality and quality management system. The quality of Tegal SME products has been proven, however, QMS still needs to be improved and monitored. PT. GTU has implemented QMS ISO 9001:2015 to guarantee its products. The implementation of the ISO 9001 QMS is not easy because it requires the thoroughness and commitment of all parties, from the leadership to the cleaning staff. This study intends to look at the gaps in the implementation of QMS mainly in clauses 6, 8, 9 and 10. The research used descriptive qualitative methods, observations and interviews. The results of the research and analysis of clauses 6, 8, 9 and 10 show that the implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 QMS is still not good. The research recommendation is in the form of a proposed improvement in clause 6, namely considering the application of Specific, Measurable, Agreed, Reasonable, Time-Bound as a measuring tool. Clause 8 preparation of quality documents for planning and control procedures for raw materials, reports on production and defective products, procedures related to handling output control. Clause 9 improvements by making a questionnaire form to customers to measure customer satisfaction, planning training schedules and conducting internal quality audits and periodic management reviews. Clause 10 proposed quality document improvement.

Abstract

The Griyo Mulyo Jabon Final Waste Processing Site (TPA) in Sidoarjo Regency with a waste generation reached 350 tons/day had the potential to be processed into raw material for Refused Derived Fuel (RDF). RDF fuel had come from waste residue briquettes contained the composition of paper, wood, cloth, rubber, and plastic (4K1P). Briquettes that can be used as raw materials for RDF were those that have characteristics according to SNI standards. This study aimed to determine the percentage of the composition of briquettes that have the potential to produce RDF and the standard quality of the resulting RDF. The reseach was conducted by taking waste samples every week four times with variations in detention time of 2, 4 and 6 hours.a. The method of calculating the value of RDF standard quality was in accordance with SNI 01-6235-2000 with the parameters analyzed were water content, ash content, volatile/steam content and calorific value. The results showed that the best briquette composition produced from 4K1P waste residue was in samples with a composition of 20% wood, 10% paper, 10% rubber/fabric, and 60% plastic. The best quality briquettes with 5.5% moisture content, 4.9% ash content, 15.9% steam content, and calorific value 8996 cal/gram.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to increase the performance of the company through the blue ocean leadership and spiritual dimension. This research methods uses a quantitative approach. The population in this research was milenial generation employees who work for more than two years in Sidoarjo, there was 19.818 people. This research applied purposive sampling with number of 391 respondents and the data collection was provided through googledoc. The analysis in this research applied Partial Least Square (PLS) by using smartPLS 3.0 software. There were two specifications of the model used for PLS: outer and inner model. The result of this research found that blue ocean leadership have significant impact on spiritual dimension and organisational performance, and spiritual dimension have significant impact on organisational performance.

Abstract

Accounting information system is one of the instruments used by companies to achieve company goals. A good information system is an information system that is supported entryway an effective internal control. The company's internal controls must be periodically reviewed to be effective. The Garden Palace Hotel already has a computerized accounting information system, but internal control is not effectively linked to access control activities. Increase the effectiveness of inside control with five COSO components. The results of the research were: climate control, especially hierarchical construction, did not work as expected. This affects the adequacy of internal controls in the cycle of credit transactions. Doubled posting bets and error values ​​were still reasonable and the control measure that susceptible was access control.

Abstract

"SRT" is the name of an SME that produces typical Kediri tofu which is located in Klepek Village, Kediri Regency. The “SRT” tofu production process goes through several stages with the help of tofu production equipment and facilities. The condition of UKM Tofu has a land area of ​​about 130 m2, but the layout of the production facilities is less effective. It was caused by several production facilities that were quite far apart and several facilities’ layout were not sequential which resulted too much material handling on production process carried out by employees and quite large material handling costs. The purpose of this research was to make a redesign of the facility layout in order to reduce material handling costs. The methods used in this study were Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) and the Kaizen 5S method (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke). The data used in this research was gathered through interviews and questionnaires. This study resulted a layout design proposal, the total distance of material handling per day was shortened by about 68.5 meters, and the cost of material handling (OMH) per day was more efficient, it was about 52.5%.

Abstract

Road as the main infrastructure in cross overland to connect starting area to the destination area. The level of damage that occurred after the implementation reduce the road’s service quality. Performance Based Contract (PBC) has stages such as Design, Build, Operation, and Maintenance. PBC is expected to minimize the budget for road construction due to damage that routinely occurs every year. PBC has the maintenance stage to meet the performance who have risk reducing road maintenance after road completion and operation. Risk variables in this study use variables in the maintenance stage from the PBC application in Eastern Java road project. It uses Probability Impact Analysis method to analyze road maintenance risk in PBC application. The results are highest score of risk variable in the maintenance stage as the descriptive analysis references to compare the threat and opportunity in PBC application. Then, it is used to create strategy in order to fulfil dominant risk in the maintenance stage.

Abstract

Biodiesel is fuel from plant oils that has been converted into methyl ester with transesterification process. The research was aimed at investigating the influence of KOH concentration and reaction time on the characteristics (density and viscosity) biodiesel at a pressure of 4 bar. The process of making biodiesel in a stirred batch reactor is pressurized, purged nitrogen, and the temperature operation of 60oC. The kapok seed oil used as raw material was 1000, methanol, and KOH (concentration of 0.5; 1.0; 1.5; and 2% oil by weight) were mixed and put into a reactor with a reaction time of 0.25; 0.50; 1.00; and 1.50 hours. Products were analysed according to ASTM standard. KOH concentration and reaction time has a significantly affected with respect to the density and viscosity of biodiesel. Biodiesel produced in compliance with the ASTM standard. The highest density and viscosity resulting in 0.5% KOH concentration and reaction time of 0.25 hours is equal to 0.8918 g/cm3 and 4.989 cSt.

Abstract

MMT-ITS Study Program is a program that has orientations in developing and implementing Technology Management science. This program has some fields and they are Industrial Management, Project Management, and Information Technology Management. Service quality can be known by using Service Quality Methods, they are: (i) tangible, (ii) reliability, (iii) responsiveness, (iv) assurance, and (v) emphaty. The assesment of service levels use questionnaire and this research propose to use Gap 5. Based on the integration result of Servqual Method and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), MMT-ITS students’ satisfaction will be reached by improving some variables, they are: motorcycle parking space, availability of cleaning service, the ease of delivering facilities and infrastructures complaints, the efficiency of security guard (a main priority of quadrant I). Maintaining the achievement of quadrant II includes: quick in delivering academic information, satisfying literatures of books/references/journals, good lecture materials comprehension, online journal can be accessed easily and fast, any replacement class, fast response to students’ complaints, the ease of academic students’ complaints, the good conditions of tables and chairs, clean classroom, employees willing to give lectures information, clarity in giving information related to college payment and another activities, guarantee of students’ data confidentiality, bright light in the room, safe feeling in students, polite and kind employees, room temperature which is cool. While, another very important variables are fast wifi/internet facility and clean toilet (quadrant IV that has high satisfaction level).

Abstract

The transesterification reaction has performed to convert waste cooking oils into biodiesel with assistant of heterogen catalyst of calcium oxide using reactor in a laboratory . The reaction was performed in two stages that is the esterification followed transesterification reaction. The aim of research is to study the effect of temperature and time reaction on viscosity and biodiesel yield. The results showed that obtained biodiesel had viscosity value in accordance with SNI 04-7182-2006 about diesel-fuel viscosity. At lower temperature (40, 45, and 50oC), the longer reaction time could lead to the increasing of biodiesel yield. Meanwhile, at higher temperature reaction (55oC and 60oC) the longer reaction time could reduce biodiesel yield. The highest biodiesel yield was obtained at following reaction condition: temperature reaction 50oC, 6 hours reaction time, ratio oil:MeOH= 1:48 molar ratio, % wt CaO = 8% to weight of waste cooking oil.

Abstract

Character geochemical of Coal in area (pit) Stars Sangatta, East Kalimantan shows that the coal is classified as steam coal with thermal maturity and have low calories (5768 kcal/kg). The coal is melted in the 1L autoclave for 60 minutes at a temperature of 450oC and a pressure of 12 MPa to obtain a product slurry. Fractionation of slurry product based on boiling point using a vacum distillation apparatus 10 mmHg. Fractions obtained include naphtha, light oil, middle oil, heavy oil and coal liquid bottom. Data show that the weight percentage of the product melting fraction is dominated by heavy oil and coal liquid bottom with percentage of total> 50%. Fraction of light oil in the fractionation further by TLC and the eluent n-hexane in order to obtain an aromatic fraction. The composition of the aromatic hydrocarbon fraction light oil products were characterized using gas chromatography mass spectrophotometer (GC-MS). The identification shows that derivative of kadalen compounds, that is compounds norkadalen (C14H16) which is the fraction of oil that can be potentially as diesel fuel.
