Abstract

Nafion is a type of perfluorosulfonic acid membranes, are widely used in fuel cell technology and exhibit several disadvantages such as expensive, have a limited working temperature range and high methanol crossover. This study aims to produce an electrolyte new polymer membrane from polyeugenol sulfonated (PET) and a review of the membrane properties was carried out on the basis of Water Contact Angle (°), Water Uptake (%), Methanol Uptake (%), Swelling ratio (%), IEC (ion exchange capacity). Analysis of DMFC membrane performance has an optimal proton conductivity of 0.0009 S.cm-1 and methanol permeability of 23.5.10-7 cm2.s-1 with a PET composition of 27% (w/w).

Abstract

Plastic waste actually will still have a high sale value if it is utilized well or recycled to be products with better values. Unfortunately, the recycle process of plastic waste has some obstacles such as the lack of people’s understanding on the waste. Therefore, identification is indispensable to conduct on the risk that potentially disrupt the Reverse Logistic Network (RLN). This research was carried out through House of Risk (HOR) method consisting of 2 phases. HOR phases 1 was the phase for identifying the risks and their agents. Next, the researcher measured the levels of severity and occurrence as well as calculated the value of Aggregate Risk Priority (ARP). All of those stages ware used to investigate the selected risk agents and design mitigation action on HOR phase 2. The results of research and calculation obtained 29 risk event, 52 risk agent, and 3 selected risk agents for mitigation action.

Abstract

Material surface characteristics are the main criteria to be considered in catalyst design. The surface area and catalyst porosity determine activity and selectivity in catalytic reactions. In this research, synthesis of cobalt oxide, calcium fluoride and calcium fluoride cobalt oxide has been done. Characterization of solid sufaces is analyzed by using Nitrogen Gas Adsorption Method. The surface area of solids is analyzed by using SBET and SBJH Methods. Identification of mesoporous both qualitative and quantitative is analyzed by using BJH Method. The result of synthetic solid shows the pattern of isotherm adsorption type IV which is typical for mesoporous material. Surface measurements show the presence of cobalt oxide on a catalyst support marked by decreasing surface area, pore size and pore volume of catalyst support material.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, furniture SMEs need to carry out a sustainable strategy analysis to maintain the continuity of SME activities. The limited sales made by furniture SMEs, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, hampered the sale of furniture products. Jombang furniture SMEs are business actors who process teak wood from forest products into furniture products that can provide added value. SME furniture is one of the leading products of Jombang district. Efforts to optimize the potential of existing resources, it is necessary to manage a sustainable supply chain strategy. Integrated strategic management in a sustainable manner based on economic, social and environmental aspects. The evaluation method used for the strategy formulation model is the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) approach which is influenced by internal and external factors. Based on the economic, social and environmental elements, an alternative decision is taken that can be used in carrying out the business of producing furniture from each element. Implementation of activities must refer to government programs in the context of preventing the Covid 19 virus by imposing restrictions on community activities by not collecting mass in a place that will facilitate the spread of the Covid 19 virus. Sales strategy during the Covid 19 virus pandemic conditions by selling online, in accordance with government guidelines.

Abstract

The province of North Kalimantan has a direct boundary with the eastern part of Malaysia, including the Nunukan Regency with the Sabah Region. Nunukan Regency has a number of attractive tourism places for tourists to visit, but they are still minimal in the availability of supporting infrastructure, so this research was conducted to obtain a model to support tourism infrastructure. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative, by obtaining data from questionnaires and interviews with respondents from government agencies, travel business actors, to communities around tourist attractions. The object of this research is a tourist spot in Nunukan Regency, then an analysis is carried out using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). The result of this research is that a model is obtained that provides the key variables that place the variable in the top position in the model. The ISM model obtained places the availability of the types of facilities that have been provided for a place to stay for visitors. This is not without reason because from interviews it was found that tourists want a place to stay overnight to be able to enjoy the natural atmosphere with their family. From the research it was also found that infrastructure remains a priority in supporting tourism objects.

Abstract

In the current era of increasingly rapid and tight competition, every company or MSME business is required to innovate in all fields, one of which is marketing. The higher level of local and global business competition and the conditions of uncertainty force companies or financial institutions to be able to achieve their competitive advantage so that later they will be able to win the competition globally. This forces companies, SMEs or cooperatives, in this case the Surabaya Untag Employee Cooperative has to give more attention to their environment which can affect cooperatives. The formulation of the problems raised in this study are: 1. What are the factors that influence the development of KopKar Untag Surabaya's marketing strategy?,2. What/How is the right marketing strategy that can increase sales of KopKar Untag Surabaya?The research was conducted using a questionnaire to KopKar officials and experts. The research method uses: Strength Weakness Opportunities Threat (SWOT) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). From the results of the study obtained several strategies that can be carried out by KopKar Untag Surabaya, namely: (1). Incessantly making breakthroughs in development by seeking and collaborating with outside parties who can quickly make KopKar progress, including with distributors of trendy and quality products, etc. (2). Easy access for the general public to the KopKar exchange. (3). Increase the variety of stock/store product variants. (4). Immediately use digital marketing. With these steps, the development of marketing development will be carried out effectively, efficiently and successfully.

Abstract

Bleaching Earth is another term used for a type of clay or clay that has a montmorillonite structure. Activation by means of physics, namely heating, can remove dirt and moisture content in the bleaching soil particles. This study aims to reactivate Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) so that it does not become waste in the surrounding environment. As well as knowing the results of the characteristics of Reactivated Bleaching Earth (RBE) obtained. The reactivation process consists of 2 stages, namely extraction on SBE with n-hexane and activation using a furnace. The method used was maceration extraction with extraction times of 60, 90, 120, 150, 180 and 210 minutes. And the activation temperature is 500, 550, 600, 650, 700 and 750 ˚C. This research gives the result that thermal activation using the furnace can reactivate SBE so that it can match the existing Bleaching Earth characteristics. The best conditions for RBE based on the National Standardization Agency (BSN) in this study were the extraction time of 120 minutes and an activation temperature of 550 oC with a water content value of 0.1625%, real density 2.2970 gr/mL, pH 7.1, and yield. SEM is smoother than others.

Abstract

The Cethol fish was used as a dietary raw material of chips fish by local people in Magelang. The population of the fish was decreased and impacted to fish chips production. The Cethol fish farming could be the one of solution to maintain the stock of this fish as dietary raw material. Nevertheless, the taxonomic status of Cethol fish as the primary information of in Magelang still unclear. Taxonomic status is of organisms is useful to inform biology, reproduction and traits of candidate species will be farmed. The aim of research is revealing the taxonomic status of Cethol fish in Magelang using common barcoding marker Cytochrome Oxidase I (COI) from mitochondrial DNA. The COI gene sequences of Cethol fish from Magelang and other sequence samples from NCBI were used to construct the phylogenetic tree and haplotype network approach to reveal the similarity and clustered of the fish sequence samples. The maximum likelihood and minimum evolution were considered as construction tree method by Kimura 2 parameter statistic model and 1000 bootstrap value. The Median joining statistic model was generated to reveal grouping form and substitution rate of each samples. The phylogenetic tree was constructed from COI gene of Cethol fishes from Magelang are grouped in the same clade and monophyletic with the Poecilia reticulata COI gene from South America as the origin of the fish species. Meanwhile, the P.reticulata from Bengkulu, Sumatera and Java were clearly separated with the samples from Magelang but still in haplogroup with the South America sequence samples. Those result are strengthen the previously notion that the Cethol fish in Magelang is a group species of P.reticulata from South America.

Abstract

The corporate world is undergoing a very rapid rate of change. It's no wonder that manufacturers are competing to sell their products quickly in the market. Advertising is a medium that is used as a means to distribute information to the public, related to the product you want to be known, one of which is advertising that is used on television. By paying attention to this, when designing an advertisement, the thing that must be considered is the attributes attached to the advertisement, in order to provide interest to consumers or potential consumers. The purpose of this study was to determine the dominant product attributes on consumer interest in making decisions to continue viewing service advertisements on advertising impressions in digital media. The final result to be achieved is that the product design of advertisements is made able to improve product performance, provide convenience for business actors in determining ergonomic designs on digital media and optimize the performance of marketing tools in introducing products so that product designers are able to provide guarantees for the design of advertisements displayed. Become the preferred ad. This study uses customer voice analysis in the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method by testing some initial attributes which show the results that some attributes have a significant influence on the design of advertising products.

Abstract

Leachate can be formed from the percolation of water that passes through the garbage. The high content of organik and metallic substances in leachate can cause environmental damage, so it must be treated first before being discharged into the environment. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of ozonation in neutralizing pH and reducing the levels of TSS, BOD, COD in the leachate of the Griyo Mulyo landfill using the AOPs method based on ozonation. Studies on ozonation in leachate treatment have been carried out by varying the ozonation time (15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes). Parameters that have been observed are pH, TSS, BOD, COD. The results showed that the best ozonation time for leachate pH was at 15 minutes with a value of 7, the best ozonation time for leachate TSS was at 15 minutes with a value of 56 mg/L. The best ozonation time for BOD and COD was at 45 minutes with values ​​of 511 mg/L and 1260 mg/L, respectively.  The best percentage of removal efficiency for TSS, BOD and COD reached 67%; 84.1%; and 88.41%.
