Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memverifikasi hasil penelitian tentang bagaimana gender mempengaruhi strategi belajar pada program Public Speaking. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan dilakukan di Program Study Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan kuisener. Setelah menganalisa data, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi belajar yang digunakan oleh siswa dalam program public speaking adalah strategi memori, strategi kognitif, strategi kompensasi, strategi metakognitif, strategi afektif, dan strategi sosial. Siswa putra maupun siswa putri menggunakan strategi yang sama dalam pembelajaran public speaking. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa gender tidak mempengaruhi strategi belajar dalam program public speaking.Abstract

Abstract

The background of this research is the existency of extra campus organizations which have an ideology contradicting with Pancasila as the Nation Ideology and its democracy system which according to researcher it strongly threatens the integrity of NKRI. On the other side, there are many news in various media which issues the confusions between Islamic Mission becoming the spirit of Islamic students organizations and the practice of some cadres in field such as fighting among islamic students and destroying campus or public fasilities. The recruitment curriculum of cadre is very important thing to be analyzed more deeply considering from where it will be seen the direction of this students’ movement working, the background and spirit of organizations. Therefore, the researcher focuses on something important to be analyzed especially related to the role of islamic student organization of extra campus on the forming of students’ character of IMM cadre in UIN Sunan Kalijaga.  The selection  of organization around UIN Sunan Kalijaga is chosen because of the location in Yogyakarta, in which mostly becomes a place for the establishment of student organizations and UIN Sunan Kalijaga itself has a massive organization climate.This research aims to describe the role of islamic student organization of extra campus in the forming of student characters by using a qualitative approach with the subject of research (informant) consisting of Abdul Karim and Khairunnisa. The metodes of data collection used are interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses Milles Huberman model with data reduction technique, data presentation, and conclusion.The results of research show that: Firstly, The implementation of cadre curriculum IMM is as the method which has Guide in DAD called insructor amounted three people whose duty give introduction before presenter, guides the course of the class, companion fgd/fanel, looking for speakers until accountable for up to six months after the rescheduling charged by committe. The method of study which consists of lecturing, question and answer, fgd/sgd, panel, group dinamics and debate. Second, the role of curriculum shows 7 characters religious, tolerance, discipline, appreciate achievement, friendly/communicative, social care and responsible.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills in the process of mathematics nalaria realistic learning. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach because in this study will describe mathematical communication skills in realistic mathematical learning. Methods of data collection using tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques in this study are validity of instrument and time triangulation. The subjects in this study were gifted students of class VIII of Al Furqan Jember Middle School, which numbered 3 students and were taken by each student from high, medium and low ability. The results showed that for groups of students who had high abilities were able to fulfill all indicators of the mathematical communication abbility, while for students in the categorized group, just able to meet 4 indicators from 5 indicators for mathematical communication skills, and none for students with low ability categories. able to have for mathematical communication indicators in mathematics nalaria realistic learning.

Abstract

 The study aims to develop thematic teaching materials in the form of lectora inpire-based learning media in the environmental sub-themes where I live. The subjects of this study werw fourth grade students of SDN Cilegon 1 Academic Year 2018-2019. The feasibility of this product was based on the validity level of lectora inspire-based thematic teaching materials, user responses to lectora inspire thematic-based teaching materials and student understanding after using lectora thematic-based thematic teaching materials inspire. Data collections techniques used questionnaire sheets, questionnaires and student response questionnaires, student comprehension test sheets and documentation. The result of the reseacrh that have been done are (1) the average score of the validation of the expert team is obtained with a percentage of 92.74% which is included in the category of “very feasible” (2) the average score of students responses with a percentage of 94.07 included in “very decent” category (3) post test average score of 88 which has reached the KKM value in the category of “very good” so it can be concluded that thematic teaching material in the form of lectora inspired-based learning media is suitable to be used in the environmental subtme where I live in class IV and can provide understanding to fourth grade student especially on thematic learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the concept of "Wall Less-Ness" in Nature Based Learning at Green School Bali. The research is a phenomenological qualitative research to explore the phenomenon of the "Wall Less-Ness" concept in Nature Based Learning at Green School Bali. Research on Understanding the Concept of "Wall-Less-Ness" in Bali's Green School Kindergarten has the following conclusions: The aim of the concept of "Wall-Less-Ness" is to bring children closer to the natural environment. With buildings that lack walls, natural green environments make natural learning unite with the child's soul. In addition, the purpose of this concept is to provide a cultural culture that lives that emphasizes sustainable environment in children from an early age. The benefits of the Wall-Less-Ness concept are the first availability of learning resources, learning media and adequate learning places from the surrounding world. Second, saving energy. Third, children understand the importance of a sustainable environment for human survival. The Advantages of the Wall-Less-Ness Concept in Kindergarten Green School learning is facilitating the learning process in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood learning, having more value in learning programs that promote sustainability, having learning outcomes that benefit life, having challenges in learning, growing education strong character for early childhood, and growing a sense of love for the environment, being able to think about environmental sustainability going forward and having a very complete learning environment for early childhood learning in accordance with the vision of Green School. While the lack of this concept is very expensive tuition fees that can only be accessed by foreigners. As well as some behaviors in the learning process it is difficult for Indonesians to accept because many western cultures are accommodated into habits.

Abstract

In this 21st century era, technology plays a significat role in language teaching and learning process both inside and outside the classroom  This study is intended to describe the language education lecturers’ opinion and the students’ opinion on the use of storybird as web-based technology for literacy skills by using case study design. The subjects of the study were the language education lecturers and the students who joined  writing class in STKIP PGRI Pasuruan in the academic year 2018-2019. The instruments used  were  interviews and document analysis. Three findings are revealed from the study. Firstly, 81% of the language lecturers used web-based technology  for their teaching, but only very few of them were familiar with storybird platform. These  lecturers agreed that storybird was beneficial to sharpen  the students’ literacy skill. Secondly,  the majority of the students (73%)  believed that the use of storybird helped them to write better. Two appealing aspects of storybird which encouraged students to read and write  were its beautiful pictures and its freedom for everyone to use, while the weakness laid in the requirement to be online  and the difficulty to download the story.

Abstract

This study aims to provide the design of the flipped learning instructional model for teaching Indonesian Political System course at an Indonesian higher education institution. A bottom-up of flipped learning model based on Blooms’ taxonomy of cognitive domain was developed. Social media WhatsApp group was employed as a platform to share the recorded YouTube video lectures for students’ learning activities outside-of-class. Before students attend class, they have prepared with the lesson’s content, hence in-class activities are utilized for homework, hands-on activities, and group discussions. In other words, watching, summarizing, and note-taking are the main activities proposed by a researcher outside of the classroom, whereas Socratic questioning through a group discussion is the main activities in the classroom. This study suggests that the bottom-up of flipped learning model is potentially implemented for teaching any social studies course at any higher education institution, with the aim of promoting students’ highest level of cognitive domains or higher-order thinking skills. This study has implications for Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ristekdikti) or policymaker to determine the flip-class pedagogy as a contemporary teaching model for teaching any course in Indonesian higher education.
