This journal, with ISSN 1979-0112, was firstly published on May 20, 2008, in the context to commemorate the National Awakening Day in Indonesia. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal has been organized and published by Minda Masagi Press, a publishing house owned by ASPENSI (the Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is published every May and November. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is devoted, but not limited to, Social Sciences education, Humanities education, and any new development and advancement in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences education. Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aimed to examine the role of social comparison in predicting two dimensions of a moral emotion, i.e. shame, among employees working in the private companies in the Greatcity of Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. The participants were 203 employees (99 males, 104 females, age average 28.75 years old, and standard deviation of the age 5.917 years), taken using purposive sampling technique. The measurement scales of this study were adapted and developed from Social Comparison Scale and Shame Proneness Scale. As many as 60 individuals participated in the measurement instrument’s validity and reliability testing phase. Research design of this study is predictive correlational with simple linear regression as the statistical technique of data analysis. This study found that social comparison can predict Negative Self-Evaluation and Withdrawal Action Tendency, as the dimensions of shame, in negative ways. There are at least two theoretical contributions of this research to the literature of psychology of corruption. First, self-evaluation as a result of the general social comparison, which initially has no moral weight, can have serious implications on one’s morality, especially through the negative self-evaluation dimension of shame moral emotion. Second, this study provides scientific support to the everyday wisdom suggesting that we should not compare ourselves with others so as not to fall into immorality tendencies, including corruption.KEY WORD: Emotion, moral, shame, comparison, social, employees working, Jakarta city, self-evaluation, predict, and psychology of corruption. RESUME: “Perbandingan Sosial sebagai Prediktor Dimensi-dimensi Kecenderungan Rasa Malu”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran perbandingan sosial dalam memprediksikan dua dimensi dari sebuah emosi moral, yakni rasa malu, pada pegawai swasta di DKI (Daerah Khusus Ibukota) Jakarta, ibukota Indonesia. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 203 orang karyawan swasta (99 laki-laki, 104 perempuan, rata-rata usia 28.75 tahun, dan simpangan baku usia 5.917 tahun), diambil dengan teknik penyampelan purposif. Alat ukur penelitian ini diadaptasi dan dikembangkan dari Skala Perbandingan Sosial dan Skala Kerentanan/Kecenderungan Rasa Malu. Sebanyak 60 individu berpartisipasi dalam fase uji validitas dan reliabilitas alat ukur. Desain penelitian ini adalah korelasional prediktif dengan teknik analisis data berupa regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perbandingan sosial mampu memprediksi Evaluasi Diri Negatif dan Tendensi Mengundurkan/Menarik Diri, sebagai dimensi-dimensi rasa malu, dalam arah negatif. Terdapat sedikitnya dua kontribusi teoritis dari penelitian ini terhadap literatur psikologi korupsi. Pertama, penilaian diri sebagai hasil perbandingan seseorang dengan orang lain, yang aslinya tidak memiliki bobot moral, dapat memiliki implikasi serius terhadap moralitas seseorang, khususnya pada dimensi evaluasi diri negatif dari rasa malu. Abstract

RESUME: Sastra Indonesia, baik yang tradisional maupun modern, dapat dijadikan sebagai media pendidikan multikultural, karena karya-karya tersebut banyak yang berakar dari tradisi dan mengandung warna lokal pengarangnya. Aktivitas pembelajaran sastra multikultural dapat dirancang melalui berbagai kegiatan/model pembelajaran, seperti: mengapresiasi nilai-nilai tradisional dalam folklor atau cerita rakyat melalui aktivitas kelompok yang dipandu dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan guru; pembacaan cerita; mengekspresikan perasaan lewat puisi; apresiasi drama, humor, dan cerita konyol atau kocak; menemukan simbol-simbol kultural melalui cerita atau dongeng; membandingkan cerita rakyat dengan latar kultur yang berbeda, tetapi memiliki aspek tematik yang sama atau mirip; melakukan pengintegrasian sastra dengan geografi; mengenalkan sajak anak-anak dan pengembangan estetis; mengapresiasi dan menganalisis lagu-lagu daerah; serta memberikan respon dan berdebat tentang stereotipe. Adapun problematik yang muncul dalam pembelajaran sastra multikultural, yaitu masih minimnya standar kompetensi yang berhubungan dengan sastra multikultural dalam kurikulum; guru yang belum menyadari pentingnya multikulturalisme; sumber belajar yang terbatas; dan masyarakat yang sering memberikan pajangan yang tidak edukatif. KATA KUNCI: Pembelajaran sastra, sastra multikultural, pemahaman multikulturalisme, menumbuhkan empati, dan jatidiri bangsa Indonesia. ABSTRACT: “Multicultural Literature Learning: Growing Empathy and Finding National Character through Multicultural Understanding”. Indonesian literature, both traditional and modern, can be used as a medium of multicultural education, because many of these works are rooted in tradition and local wisdom brought about by authors. Multicultural literature learning activities can be designed through the following activities/learning model: appreciating traditional values in folklore through group activities guided by the teacher questions; storytelling; expressing feelings through poetry; appreciation of drama, humor, and silly/funny stories; finding cultural symbols through stories/fables; comparing folklore of different cultural backgrounds, but having the same or similar thematic aspects; integrating literature and geography; introducing nursery rhymes and aesthetic development; appreciating and analyzing folk songs; and providing responses and arguing about stereotypes. Problems that arise in teaching multicultural literature comprise: having a lack of competency standards relating to multicultural literature in the curriculum; teachers’ unawareness of the importance of multiculturalism; limited learning resources; and insufficient provision of educational exposure. Abstract

RESUME: Kawasan sekitar situ Cisanti berada pada arboretum 73 hulu sungai Citarum di Kabupaten Bandung, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Indonesia; dan ada tujuh mata air yang mengalirkan air ke situ Cisanti. Namun, jika kawasan sekitar diubah secara destruktif maka akan terjadi pengeringan mata air. Cara pandang manusia dalam memanfaatkan alam, dengan demikian, akan menentukan perlakuan terhadap alam itu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis kearifan lokal yang masih dilakukan oleh masyarakat; untuk mengetahui pembagian zonasi kawasan bagi mengurangi tekanan penduduk dalam penggunaan lahan kawasan lindung; serta untuk mengetahui peran agen pembaru, anggota masyarakat, dan hasil usaha mereka dalam melestarikan kawasan sekitar situ Cisanti. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif-verifikasi melalui pendekatan fenomenologis, untuk mencari dan mengungkap makna di balik fakta-fakta yang ditemukan. Walaupun aktivitas pengrusakan hutan kerap terjadi di daerah sekitar situ Cisanti dalam berbagai kasus, ternyata masih ada kearifan lokal didalam masyarakat tersebut. Zonasi sekitar danau ditentukan berdasarkan kemiringan dan jarak yang dibagi menjadi enam zona, dengan tiga fungsi: zona hijau, zona budidaya, dan zona interaksi. Perjuangan agen perubahan dan masyarakat bisa menjadi inspirasi bagi siswa untuk memahami, menyadari, merawat, dan mengambil tindakan untuk melestarikan lingkungan, sehingga muncul agen perubahan lingkungan.KATA KUNCI: Pelestarian, peran masyarakat, kawasan sekitar, situ Cisanti, agen perubahan, memahami, menyadari, merawat, dan kearifan lokal. ABSTRACT: “Preservation and the Role of Community in the Around Zone of Cisanti Lake”. The around zone of Cisanti lake is in the arboretum 73 upstream of Citarum river in Bandung Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia; and there are seven springs that drain the water into Cisanti lake. However, if the around zone destructively altered, there will be kiln drying of the springs. Utilizing the human perspective in nature, thus, will determine the treatment of that nature. The purposes of this research are to determine the type of local wisdom that are still done by the community; to determine the distribution of zoning to reduce the pressure of population in protecting areas of forest land use; and to determine the agent of change, members of society, and the outcome of their efforts to preserve the around zone of Cisanti lake. The method of the research is qualitative-verification through phenomenological approach, to seek and uncover the meaning behind the facts found. Even though the destructive activities in the forest of the around zone of Cisanti lake almost happen in the cases, there are still local wisdom in the community. Zoning the around zone of the lake is determined based on the slope and the distance that divided into six zones, with the three functions: the green zone, cultivation zone, and interaction zone.
