Abstract

Background:  Currently the government is implementing a new normal policy regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. Pregnancy in the new normal era still causes anxiety among pregnant women because the Covid-19 pandemic as a whole has not yet ended due to information regarding the condition of pregnant women who are very likely to still be infected with the Covid-19 virus. Remembering that you have to be in the hospital and have direct contact with medical staff. Objectives: The research aims to determine the effect of relaxation exercise education using video and leaflet media on the anxiety of pregnant women in the new normal era. Methods: This research is an experiment with a pre-test-post-test control group design. There were 62 pregnant women respondents who were selected using simple random sampling technique. The instrument uses the Google-shaped Coronavirus Anxiety Scale (CAS) questionnaire. The analysis used the Independent T-test to determine differences in anxiety between treatment groups with video media and leaflet media. Results: The results of the study showed that there was an insignificant difference in reducing anxiety for pregnant women with relaxation training education using video media and leaflets. There was no significant difference in pre-posttest1, pre-posttest2 and pre-posttest3 anxiety scores (p>0.05). There is an influence of relaxation sports education using video media and leaflets on reducing the anxiety of pregnant women in the new normal era. Conclusions: Pregnancy exercise education using video media and leaflets can reduce the anxiety of pregnant women, so it is hoped that pregnant women will know and understand how important it is to deal with anxiety during pregnancy. The more often a mother does pregnancy exercises, the more calm she will be during pregnancy.

Abstract

Background: Nursing care provided to patients, especially in hospitals, is expected to be of high quality, and its implementation is in accordance with the nurse's clinical competence. Objectives: This scoping review aimed to assess the implementation of the clinical competence of nurses in hospitals so that a clear picture of the implementation of these competencies is obtained. In addition, this study can be evidence-based and related to implementing these clinical competencies. Methods: This literature review used PICO framework to develop articles questions (P: nurses, I: not applicable, C: not applicable, and O: application of clinical nursing competency). Articles search for literature review was conducted during April and May 2023. This study used Pubmed and ScienceDirect Databases and other sources. The keywords that used in this scoping review was “nursing competency” OR “clinical nursing competency” AND “evaluation” OR “implementation” AND “hospital”.Results: There were 1,150 articles from the search results, but only seven were included for review. One article is a descriptive comparative study using a qualitative approach, and six articles are cross-sectional studies. The articles are publications within five years (2019-2023). In its implementation, the average clinical competency of nurses is at a low to moderate level, and only one study found was at high nurse competency. The results of the supervisor's clinical competency assessment were significantly lower than those assessed by oneself and the group. In addition, the nurse competency level was moderate, and there was no significant difference in the clinical competency of nurses before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusions: The implementation of nurses' clinical competence has yet to be optimal, so hospital management needs to improve nurses' clinical competence so that nurses can provide higher quality and professional nursing care in the hospital.

Abstract

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Lampung Province in 2020 was 70.1%, yet it still did not meet the expected target. Many factors influenced the success of exclusive breastfeeding. In providing breast milk, the father played a major role for the success. Father's knowledge and support in breastfeeding issues were the first thing the fathers needed to have to support breastfeeding practices. The fathers' support for the breastfeeding process was still lacking as society believed that breastfeeding was only the mother's duty. The support that a father could provide as a Breastfeeding Father could be in the form of helping with child care, helping with household chores, and providing food or other needs related to the breastfeeding process. Preliminary studies showed a lack of support from fathers for breastfeeding mothers at the Batanghari Lampung Community Health CenterObjective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the knowledge and the father's support as a breastfeeding father towards exclusive breastfeeding.Method: This research was conducted in the Work Area of the Batanghari Inpatient Health Center, East Lampung in January - February 2023. The sample used was the fathers of infants aged 6-12 months in the Work Area of the Batanghari Inpatient Health Center, East Lampung, as many as 63 respondents obtained using accidental sampling technique . This research was a quantitative study using the Cross Sectional Study approach, analyzed by using the chi square test (α=0.05) for bivariate analysis. Results: The results of this study indicates that there was a real relationship between the father's knowledge as a breastfeeding father and the father's support as a breastfeeding father on exclusive breastfeeding in the Work Area of the Batanghari Inpatient Health Center, East Lampung with p-values of 0.038 and 0.010.Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between father's knowledge and the father's support as a breastfeeding father and exclusive breastfeeding in the Batanghari Inpatient Health Center, East Lampung working area.

Abstract

Background: Cardiac arrest is a crucial problem because it has a short rescue time and requires optimal assistance competence. The global incidence of cardiac arrest is 50-60 per 100,000 per year, while in Indonesia it is 10,000 per year or 30 incidents every day. This is an important problem that must be addressed immediately, apart from improving skills, by using innovative supporting tools. This tool is still very limited and does not even exist in Indonesia. Objectives: To determine the effectiveness of digital resuscitation pads (petitions) on the accuracy of compression of cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation. Methods: The number of samples in this study was 46 respondents as the case group and as the control group. In the case group, we provided the innovative Digital Resuscitation Pad tool and the rhythm of tapping to perform compressions, while in the control group they were only guided by the rhythm of tapping. The inclusion criteria include respondents who have practiced CPR for lay people appropriately. The instrument uses a questionnaire with a validity test of r table 0.621 and reliability r table 0.539. The analysis uses the Wilcoxon test using total sampling. Results: Based on the researchers' findings in this research, in the control group, 56.52% of respondents performed inappropriate compression, meaning that 26 respondents, more than half of the respondents provided compression that was not of good quality. After being given the Digital Resuscitation Pad, compression quality increased to 86.95% or 29 respondents provided quality compression. Conclusions: There is an influence of the Digital Resuscitation Pad on the accuracy of Cardiac and Pulmonary Resuscitation compressions. Researchers concluded that the Pad Digital Resuscitation device could improve the quality of student compressions over a measurable distance even though BMI indirectly plays an important role in nurses' performance in providing optimal cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Abstract

Background: fulfillment of the basic physical biomedical needs of children under five affects their growth and development. Most poor families pay little attention to the basic needs of their children due to lack of knowledge and the economy. To overcome this, the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia has issued social security to reduce the number of poverty and social welfare cases called the Family Hope Program (PKH). Within the health sector, KPM (Beneficiary Families) are required to ensure the provision of fundamental healthcare services for children under the age of five. These services include monthly regular vaccines, biannual administration of Vitamin A, and monthly monitoring of the children's weight. Objectives: this study aims to analyze the impact of conditional cash transfer programs on the fulfillment of basic physical-biomedical needs. Methods: we conducted a quantitative study using a cross sectional design. Our research sample was 83 of 289 children under five years in Patempuran-Kalisat-Jember taken using simple random sampling technique. Results: the results showed that there were no differences in the completeness of immunization (Sig = 0.501), exclusive breastfeeding (Sig = 0.378), routine weighing (Sig = 0.445) and utilization of health services (Sig = 0.845) between conditional cash transfer program recipients and non recipients. Conclusions: This program is considered effective because the majority of children under five have received complete basic immunization and routinely have their weight weighed at the posyandu, but children under the age of five are not given exclusive breast milk. The social service and primary health care need to increase collaboration to provide education about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a nutritional problem in children which is characterized by the child's height not meeting the age standards set by WHO. Indonesia is the country with the highest prevalence of stunting. Stunting has the impact of delays in various sectors, especially health, in the short term, namely increasing morbidity and mortality rates. Stunting is caused by household factors, one of which is maternal factors. One of the reasons children are stunted is the mother's age, which is still in the adolescent range. Teenage moms who become pregnant often lack the knowledge necessary to ensure their unborn kid has a healthy diet, which can lead to stunting in the infant. Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of maternal age on the incidence of stunting in children aged 0-59 months based on 2018 Riskesdas data. Methods: This research is a quantitative study with an analytical cross-sectional design using secondary data analysis based on survey results from Riskesdas in 2018. Data collection was carried out in March 2018 by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) with locations in all provinces in Indonesia consisting of 34 provinces. The sample used was adjusted to the inclusion criteria, namely 69,155 mothers and toddlers aged 0-59 months. Research analysis was carried out using SPSS in stages based on a description of the research results and frequency distribution by presenting tables on the variables studied and using bivariate analysis simple binary logistic regression with Crude OR results with a confidence level of 95%.Results: The results obtained in this study were that there was a significant influence between maternal age and the incidence of stunting with a p value = 0.003. As many as 17.7% of stunting incidents in toddlers were experienced by teenage mothers. Conclusions: There is an influence of maternal age on the incidence of stunting in toddlers. It is hoped that health institutions can increase awareness regarding early marriage which can cause stunting.
