Abstract

This study examines the relevance of the neurolaw approach in the juvenile justice system in Indonesia. Neurolaw combines neuroscience and law to understand the relationship between children's brain development and criminal responsibility. The focus of the research is the juvenile justice system regulated under Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, which primarily emphasizes biological age without considering neurological aspects. The research method employed is a normative juridical approach with legislative and neuroscience perspectives. The findings indicate that the juvenile justice system in Indonesia has not fully accommodated children's neurological development, thereby posing a risk of imposing punishments that are not aligned with the child's condition. This study recommends revising the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law to incorporate neurocognitive evaluations in the judicial process to create a more accurate and evidence-based system

Abstract

Sistem manajemen pengamanan memiliki peran krusial dalam memastikan kelangsungan bisnis dan ketahanan operasional, khususnya pada sektor infrastruktur seperti pengelolaan jalan tol. Sejak tahun 2020, PT Hutama Karya telah menerapkan sistem manajemen pengamanan di seluruh proyeknya, tetapi belum pernah dilakukan evaluasi menyeluruh terhadap tingkat kematangan sistem tersebut. Studi ini mengukur tingkat kematangan sistem manajemen pengamanan PT Hutama Karya dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen, lalu dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pendorong internal dan eksternal berpengaruh signifikan terhadap strategi dan aksi. Namun, strategi tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap aksi, yang menunjukkan bahwa aksi dapat dilakukan tanpa strategi yang terstruktur. Selain itu, aksi berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja organisasi, yang menegaskan pentingnya implementasi sistem manajemen pengamanan yang efektif. Studi ini memberikan implikasi praktis untuk meningkatkan kematangan sistem manajemen pengamanan dan memastikan kelangsungan bisnis jangka panjang.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that poses a global health problem, including in DKI Jakarta, which has a high burden of Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB). Sputum culture conversion is an important indicator in monitoring TB treatment. This study aims to evaluate the time to sputum culture conversion and identify its predictors among DR-TB patients in DKI Jakarta from 2020 to 2022 using a retrospective cohort design. The analyzed variables include resistance type, initial sputum, age, gender, previous treatment history, HIV comorbidity, Diabetes Mellitus comorbidity, type of healthcare facility, and DR-TB treatment regimen. Out of 936 analyzed patients, 82.05% experienced sputum culture conversion with a cumulative survival probability at the end of observation of 11.01% and an overall median survival of 3 months. Six variables were identified as predictors of sputum culture conversion time: resistance type, initial sputum, age, previous treatment history, type of healthcare facility, and treatment regimen used. This study is expected to provide valuable information for TB programs and serve as a reference for future research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah (RPJMD) Kabupaten Tolikara Tahun 2013-2017 serta mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan, permasalahan, dan potensi pembangunan yang ada. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas kebijakan pembangunan melalui analisis dokumen dan observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kabupaten Tolikara masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam aspek politik, ekonomi, sosial, dan infrastruktur, seperti rendahnya indeks pembangunan manusia, ketimpangan ekonomi, keterbatasan layanan dasar, serta tata kelola pemerintahan yang belum optimal. Namun, Kabupaten Tolikara juga memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor pertanian, perkebunan, kehutanan, serta pariwisata yang dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi pembangunan yang lebih terintegrasi, dengan fokus pada peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, optimalisasi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam, serta penguatan tata kelola pemerintahan yang transparan dan akuntabel. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan rekomendasi bagi pemerintah daerah dalam menyusun kebijakan pembangunan yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Transit-Oriented Development (TOD)-based residential areas have emerged as a solution to address urbanization and mobility challenges in metropolitan regions. This concept offers housing with easy access to public transportation and various supporting facilities. However, despite its numerous benefits, public adoption of the TOD concept remains varied. This study aims to identify key factors within the TOD framework that influence individuals' intention to reside in TOD-based areas. Using a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from potential residents interested in purchasing properties within TOD projects connected to Jabodebek LRT and KRL networks. The results indicate that conducive and seamless pedestrian environment, affordability and quality of the public transport system, pedestrian amenities, and compact and mixed-development concept all have a significant influence on individuals’ intention to reside in TOD areas. The implications of this study provide a valuable foundation for developers in designing more attractive and context-responsive TOD communities that align with the needs and preferences of urban populations.

Abstract

In the digital transformation era, enterprise architecture (EA) is critical in aligning IT capabilities with organisational strategies. This study explores the impact of EA on employee performance management and its contribution to organisational benefits. Using a resource-based theoretical framework, the study develops a model integrating IT capability and business governance as predictors of employee performance and organisational outcomes. Data were gathered from 56 HR, IT, and executive professionals in organisations that have implemented IT-based performance management systems. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4.1.1.1 was employed to analyse the data. The findings demonstrate that both IT capability and business governance positively and significantly affect employee performance management, which in turn influences organisational benefit. The results underscore the importance of high-quality EA services in driving strategic HR outcomes. The study contributes to bridging the gap between technical EA implementation and its practical utility in human resource management.

Abstract

In the midst of the rapid competition in the oil industry, strategies are needed to face global challenges and competition in the market. This study was conducted to show the impact of digital implementation on customer satisfaction levels. Digitalization will be focused on the supply and distribution services area, especially related to the speed and accuracy of delivery. This area was chosen since the customer satisfaction index scores in 2023 and 2024 got the same point. This indicates that there has been no significant development in the past year due to several issues faced by customers, such as being able to provide information to the team on site regarding the estimated arrival of the delivery unit, improving the delivery schedule, paying attention to the driver's speed, and communication and consistency in providing delivery updates. The study will use qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative approach is carried out through interview methods to identify user needs and translate it into key features in application proposed using House of Quality (HOQ) method. Meanwhile, quantitative approach is used to identify processes that need to be improved and evaluate lead time processes by comparing lead time processes before and after digital implementation through business process improvement, specifically through Material Information Flow Chart (MIFC). The output of this research is the creation of a digital application for monitoring daily deliveries that are integrated with Global Positioning System (GPS) installation. This is expected to improve accuracy regarding unit positioning and reduce dependence on human intervention.

Abstract

Country-of-origin (COO) is an important factor influencing purchase decisions, but its effectiveness remains debated due to inconclusive research. One key element affecting COO’s impact is consumer culture, yet studies on this topic are still limited. This research examines how Hofstede’s cultural dimensions influence the effectiveness of COO in shaping purchase intention. Hofstede's theory is the most widely used cultural framework and is highly regarded for explaining such phenomena. Unlike previous studies that primarily focused on the direct influence of Hofstede's cultural values on purchase intention in a limited manner, this study provides a comprehensive analysis of Hofstede's cultural values as moderating variables in the relationship between Country of Origin (COO) and purchase intention, covering all six cultural dimensions: power distance, masculinity, collectivism, uncertainty avoidance, indulgence, and long-term orientation. The study used data from 202 respondents (ages 25–34) in Jakarta and analysed it using moderated linear regression. The results indicate that the cultural dimensions of long-term orientation, uncertainty avoidance, and masculinity moderate the effect of Country of Origin (COO) on purchase intention for electronic products from Korea and China. In contrast, for local products, only long-term orientation and uncertainty avoidance were found to have a significant moderating effect. These findings are expected to contribute to the body of knowledge for readers and serve as a consideration in selecting appropriate methods and target markets for marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study investigates the perception of adversity and life uncertainty composed through the virtuous ethics of Stoicism in manifesting resilience embodied by Andy Dufresne, the protagonist in Stephen King’s Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption (1982). Drawing on Waitzman’s (2024) framework of Stoic resilience, the analysis investigates how Andy navigates systemic oppression and adversity by grounding his actions in Stoic principles. The study aims to demonstrate how resilience emerges as the culmination of applied Stoic reasoning, wherein individuals reclaim agency through self-mastery and moral integrity. Methodologically, the study employs a close-reading analysis of the novel, supported by library research, to dissect Andy’s psychological and ethical strategies by integrating Stoic virtues: wisdom, courage, justice, and temperance. Additionally, with psychological constructs such as self-reliance, self-stability, and self-appropriateness, this article illuminates how resilience is actively forged through adversity rather than passive endurance. The findings demonstrate that Stoic resilience extends beyond basic survival as an intentional process guided by virtue, where adversity becomes a catalyst for autonomy and liberation. By combining literary analysis with moral philosophy and psychology, the interdisciplinary approach frames resilience as both a philosophical ideal and a practical tool for confronting life trials. This work contributes to broader discourses on resilience theory, advocating for future research to operationalize Stoic principles in real-world contexts, empowering individuals to harness adversity as a means of ethical and psychological growth.

Abstract

Kualitas sperma merupakan salah satu faktor kunci yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan program bayi tabung. Parameter pemeriksaan sperma yang meliputi konsentrasi, motilitas dan morfologi telah diketahui memiliki peran penting dalam menentukan fertilization rate dan cleavage rate. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas sperma dengan fertilization rate dan cleavage rate pada pasien yang menjalani program bayi tabung. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Klinik Melati RSAB Harapan Kita sebagai pusat pelayanan infertilitas pertama di Indonesia yang dilakukan dari bulan Januari hingga Desember 2024. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Cross Sectional. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah Simple Random Sampling dengan uji statistik Chi Square serta analisis deskriptif. Data kualitas sperma dianalisis menggunakan kriteria World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2010 yang meliputi konsentrasi, motilitas dan morfologi sperma. Fertilization rate ditentukan berdasarkan persentase sel telur yang terbuahi, sementara cleavage rate diukur berdasarkan persentase embrio yang berhasil membelah setelah fertilisasi. Hasil analisis statistik menggunakan uji Chi Square menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara kualitas sperma yang meliputi konsentrasi, motilitas dan morfologi sperma dengan fertilization rate dan cleavage rate. Hal ini disebabkan karena penggunaan prosedur Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) yaitu penyuntikan sel telur dengan sel sperma yang dilakukan di RSAB Harapan Kita. Rekomendasi lebih lanjut adalah dengan memperhatikan faktor-faktor lainnya yang berhubungan dengan fertilization rate dan cleavage rate selain kualitas sperma.
