Abstract

Some of the technologies are currently implemented, among others, technologies Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) and Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi). The second technology is a wireless networking technology that is being rapidly adopted. When this is not the only computer connected to the internet but everyday appliances such as cellular phones, PDAs, and so well connected to the internet. Conducted research aimed to compare the use of WiMAX technology and Wi-Fi interms of service, coverage, standards, frequency speed of both technologies. This research uses the method of collecting data from the literature that the author got from the book and some sources from the internet. Abstract

Technological developments have made life easier. It can be seen from the sophistication of television sets, mobile phones, computers to household appliances, it makes it easy for anyone inside. Universitas Bina Darma is one of the University has been using information technology to provide convenience to students to access information services. One such technology is the hotspot. The research was conducted at the Universitas Bina Darma with students of Information Management Study Program as its population. In this study there are two types of variables consisting of the independent variables and moderating variables. While the data collected, analyzed by means of correlation and regression analysis SPSS 13.0. Significance Tests Based on the results of Individual Parameters (test statistic t), can be described the results of testing the hypothesis that the use of Hotspot positive effect on the quality of learning. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the factors that cause the occurrence of traffic congestion in some urban and solve it by using an expert system. Sistem serves to record and duplicate the capabilities of experts. Expert systems in this study was built within the framework of network optimization designed to solve the problem of traffic congestion in urban areas. Control of traffic jams and optimal well not be possible without the use of intelligent data management system and realtime. In this study, we were able to improve the quality of congestion control in both the strategic aspects as well as operasional. This Research using survey methods, and development models. The results of the study are: a) traffic management policy input and control traffic congestion of Dishubkominfo Palembang and municipal police; and b) the optimization model and control traffic congestion at the intersection; c) the data processing for controlling the traffic congestion that can be implemented to overcome congestion in some urban areas. Abstract

This research wasdone to makethe software E-Human Resources Regional Office of Religious Affairs of South Sumatra Province. In this research, E-HR software can manage the data generated work routines include activity data consists of SK activities, KDP activities, treasurer of activities, number of activities, speakers, participants of the activities, the moderator, the cost of activities, presence, SPPD and reporting. E-HR software is made also to address the needs and transparencyin every activity performed. In software development E-SDM using software development Rational Unified Process (RUP) model. In RUP, there are four phases of work manship Inception Elaboration Construction and Transition.

Abstract

Mudahnya proses komunikasi sebagai dampak dari perkembangan teknologi menghadirkan persoalan baru. Yaitu bagaimana menjamin agar komunikasi yang dilakukan dua atau lebih pihak tidak bisa diakses oleh orang yang tidak berhak. Apalagi jika komunikasi yang dilakukan bersifat sangat rahasia. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut digunakanlah teknik kriptografi. Kriptografi merupakan teknik untuk menyadikan pesan asli ( plainteks) menjadi pesan tersandi (cipherteks). Cipherteks yang dihasilkan berupa kode yang tidak dapat dimengerti lagi artinya. Cipherteks inilah yang kemudian dikirimkan melalui media komunikasi. Proses pengubahan plainteks menjadi cipherteks disebut enkripsi, dan sebaliknya disebut proses dekripsi. Salah satu algoritma kriptografi yang sudah pernah diperkenalkan yaitu algoritma One Time Pad. Proses enkripsi menggunakan barisan kunci acak yang ditambahkan pada plainteks yang tidak acak menghasilkan cipherteks yang seluruhnya acak. Proses dekripsi harus menggunakan barisan kunci yang tepat sama untuk menghasilkan plainteks. Kata kunci : kriptografi, enkripsi, dekripsi, one time pad.

Abstract

Information technology management is processes and structures that control and direct relationship of a companys organization in achieving the organizations goals by adding value that information technology and the process can be balanced with the risks . This study will result in recommendations that information technology in organizations , specially information technology services in the academic private college in the city of Palembang , where the activities of the academic services are the responsibility of integrated service unit of each college . The design of information technology in this study using the COBIT framework version 4.0 . The chosen domain is the domain Deliver and Support ( DS ) and Monitor and Evaluate ( ME ) is intended to make information technology management recommendations.

Abstract

Profiling and identifying individual users is an approach to help recognize intrusions in a computer system. User profiles are important in many applications since they record highly user-specific information - profiles are basically built to record information about users or for users to share experiences with each other. Thus, user profiles are used to aggregate relevant information about a user’s activities, and to identify patterns in their behavior. This research uses the n-gram analysis method for characterizing each user’s style, and can potentially provide accurate user identification. As a result, n-gram analysis of a users typed inputs offers another method for intrusion detection as it may be able to both positively and negatively identify users. The contribution of this research is to assess the use of a user’s writing styles in both natural language as a user profile characteristic that could enable intrusion detection where intruders masquerade as real users. Abstract

Abstract: In the advancement of information technology, namely the Internet, and web hosting as well as internet warnet or better known term cafe is increasingly widespread and growing every year. Many warnet that exist in the city of Palembang just a few warnet that use Linux operating system and operating system Mikrotik, this is due to the cafe just rely on the facilities provided without considering connections and needs of each client. The research will be carried out analysis implementation server operating system that has been used several internet cafés in the city of Palembang to see speed internet access. With the research is expected to see how much influence the linux operating system and a proxy server for internet access speeds at every cafe that uses server operating system and taken consideration for each Internet cafe to use Linux operating system and a proxy server in managing the Internet network. Abstract

Currently PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk already has a sales information system that has been integrated with enterprise resource planning (ERP) company system. However the existing information system provides more information relating to the course of sales operations, sales report submission is still less organized and still using office applations. The report is also not appropriate for the executive. The high level of directors mobility makes the required sales data must be fast and accurately received by the board of directors. Therefore, PT Semen Baturajaic (Persero) Tbk is in need of an information system that serves as a means to view all sales data in the long run and can be viewed anytime without having to wait for reports from sales staff. This research generates executive sales information systems at PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk by utilizing business intelligence that is able to provide detailed information on sales in chart or graphic display. Abstract

Information technology is an invaluable tool in solving the problems faced by humans. Utilization of information technology to provide better performance implications on information technology. Information and technologies that support college activities is a valuable asset. College success is usually to understand the advantages and usefulness of information technology to support high-performance university. Unified Theory Of Acceptance And Use Of The Technolgy (UTAUT) Model is a model of information technology acceptance. User acceptance is an important factor affecting the successful implementation of a technology. The study results showed that simultaneous or partially contained a significant and positive relationship between the variables of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, Behavioral Intention and Behavior Use of the Technology Acceptance variables. While the results of regression analysis obtained by the fact that the contribution of these three variables is 58.9% of the revenues of Information Technology.
