Abstract

The batik supply chain faces several risks, including transportation errors, unpredictable weather, and human errors, which can disrupt operations, reduce efficiency, and weaken competitiveness. This study aims to identify risk events and risk agents in the batik supply chain, prioritize key risk sources, and propose mitigation strategies. The study integrates the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) and House of Risk (HOR). Priority risks include transportation mode errors, unpredictable weather, sudden order increases, human errors, and room temperature changes. Seven mitigation actions were proposed, including establishing expedition contracts, applying First-in-First-Out order prioritization, and providing regular worker training, prioritized by effectiveness-to-difficulty ratio, with the highest at 1984,5. This study contributes to supply chain risk management literature by applying the SCOR–HOR framework to traditional craft-based SMEs and highlighting the influence of worker skills, environmental uncertainty, and supplier dependency on supply chain risks.

Abstract

Upstream oil and gas companies face simultaneous MRO inventory stockouts and overstock, reflecting misallocation rather than resource scarcity. Existing classification methods – ABC (value), VED (criticality), and ADI-CV (demand pattern) – each address only one dimension, leaving residual risk that an integrated framework can eliminate. This study applies a combined ABC-VED-ADI-CV approach to 90 MRO items at an Indonesian upstream company using 12 months of transactional data and structured expert interviews. ABC identified Class A (6% of items with 80% of cost); VED classified 54% as Vital; ADI-CV found 96% exhibiting lumpy demand, confirming that conventional forecasting is inappropriate for virtually the entire portfolio. Integrating all three dimensions identified three tubing items as highly critical – Class A, Vital, and Lumpy – whose stockout triggers immediate well shutdown. The framework offers practitioners a replicable prioritisation tool for procurement, safety stock, and supplier management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing on marketing performance with competitiveness as a mediating variable in food industry SMEs. The research population amounted to 117 food industry SMEs, with a sample of 100 respondents determined through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. The results of the study show that digital marketing has a negative and significant effect on marketing performance, but it has a positive and significant effect on competitiveness. Furthermore, competitiveness has a positive and significant effect on marketing performance, but is unable to mediate the influence of digital marketing on marketing performance. These findings indicate that digital marketing has not been managed strategically and market-oriented, so it has not been able to create value that has a direct impact on marketing performance.
