Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan Juli dan Desember. Jurnal ini memiliki spesifikasi keilmiahan dan publikasi serta mengkomunikasikan hasil penelitian-penelitian para dosen dan praktisi yang berkaitan dengan ruang lingkup studi ilmu-ilmu Al-Quran dan tafsir.

<![CDATA[This paper attempts to analyze one of the main topics in the ‘Ulūm Al-Qurān (Quranic Sciences), namely nāsikh and mansūkh or theory of abrogation. The study of this concept is very important for an interpreter to avoid mistakes in understanding the verses of the Qur'an. In general, classical scholars understand the study of naskh in terms of the timing of the decline of verses makkīyah and madanīyah. The polemic between supporters and rejecters of the theory of naskh colored the literature of the Ulūm Al-Qurān since the classical period to the present. The majority of classical scholars accepted the concept of nāsikh-mansūkh, even as a form of miracles of the Qur'an. Unlike the minority groups who did not accept the concept of nāsikh-mansūkh, for them, all the verses of the Qur'an have their respective contexts. All verses are used because there is no way the verses of the Qur'an can be ignored. However, the past naskh theory was deemed irrelevant by Maḥmūd Muḥammad Ṭāhā and Abdullahi Ahmed An-Naim. These two Sudanese thinkers put more emphasized on universal basic values contained in the verses of the Qur'an. So, it could be verses makkīyah abrogated verses madanīyah. Ṭāhā and An-Naim want to grounded the universal teachings of Islam, and that can be found in the verses of makkīyah, not madanīyah. This is one of the unique thoughts of the two Sudan thinkers. They want to emphasized gender equality, social justice, social transformation, from reluctance to liberation. The point is that they want the basic values that are universal to be applied in the lives of Muslim communities, not those that are particular. The verses that contain universal basic values was found in the makkīyah, not the madanīyah]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the existence of disability in shaping the professional attitude of the Qur'anic perspective. By preserving the story of Abdullah bin Ummi Maktum narrated in Surat 'Abasa, the Qur'an does not differentiate between normal people and those with disabilities, and not discriminate against one another. Not only acknowledging the existence of disability, the Qur'anic concept also explains how to behave and associate with them as being responsive and courteous, other dispensations that the Qur'an gives to disability. Although people with disabilities are not physically perfect, they have certain skills and skills that can be sharpened and developed, so that it can give birth to a professional attitude of work that does not see the physical.]]>

<![CDATA[The debate about the authenticity of the stories in the Qur'an until this century is still the topic of a lively discussion. Especially Orientalists who study Islam with the aim of overthrowing it will make this topic the main debate in their efforts. Departing from many debates and profound assumptions within and outside the Muslim community about the stories in the Qur'an, this paper aims to discuss the stories in the Qur'an whether it is a historical fact or a myth. The method used in the discussion of this paper uses descriptive method to be able to define and discuss narratives that discuss the stories in the Qur'an based on the foundation of the science of interpretation so that results are in accordance with the truth in the Qur'an itself. And it can be concluded that historical stories or scientific stories that occur in the Qur'an that occur or which do not occur are a sign, or a symbol of the verse to be considered by all Muslims, because there is wisdom as guidance and guidance for the lives of Muslims.]]>

<![CDATA[This research takes focus on how to conceptualize good and clean governance based on the universality of values in the Qur'an, such as discussion, justice and equality which ultimately aims to lead to the concept of the baldatun state ṭayyibatun wa rabbun ghafūr as an ideal concept responding to the changing era. The description in this study takes a new form, namely thematic analysis with mufassir's view, Sa'id Hawwa in his interpretation in Al-Asas fi at-Tafsir. Data analysis is presented in the form of arguments or truth that can be justified scientifically and rationally related to siyasi verses. At the end of this study, the researcher analyzes that the basic framework is to build good and clean governance, which can accommodate corruption, collusion and nepotism by building internal relations between all social strata including people as holders of power, judges as enforcers of justice and leaders who carry out mandate of the people. The three stakeholders must be able to work together to present a sense of justice for all parties, be able to act according to the applicable law and realize that mutual benefit is a top priority. In its implementation, the Good and Clean Government must always place deliberations as the fundamental principles and philosophies of the country. In this case listed in the fourth precepts of Pancasila adopted by the Indonesian people.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses about al-huruf al-muqatta’ah in the book Mafatih al-Gaib by Fakhr al-Din al-Razi. Which contains discussion, the first discussion: how is Fakhr al-Din al-Razi’s interpretation about al-huruf al-muqatta’ah ? the second discussion: what is Fakhr al-Din al-Razi’s comment on the interpretation of scholars about al-huruf al-muqatta’ah ? this research is a qualitative tafsir study based on the study of the kitab. The propose of the study is that the data is taken from the kitab related to the research title. The approach used is tafsir science approach, language and philosophy. Researchers make al-huruf al-muqatta’ah as an object of research by using several books related to it to find out the interpretation of scholars (especially Fakhr al-Din al-Razi) about al-huruf al-muqatta’ah. The reason why the researcher choose this title its because there are differences in opinions of scholars into two opinions. First opinion: these letters are the secret of Allah, second opinion: the purpose of al-huruf al-muqatta’ah can be known and there are many words of scholars about itu, even though there was no direct axplanation from the Prophet Muhammad about the meaning of al-huruf al-muqatta’ah. Therefore researchers think it is necessary to conduct research. The result of this study founds that Fakhr al-Din al-Razi strengthened the opinion that al-huruf al-muqatta’ah is the name of surah and to attract the attention of non muslims to read the Qur’an after they advised one another to turn away from the Qur’an.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the story of Noah in the Qur'an. As a story contained in the Qur'an and the Bible, the story of Noah is very important to find the the differences between them. Therefore, the used approach is intertextuality initiated by Julia Kristeva who tried to compare two narrations. By using this approach , we found many differences. In the structure of narration, al-Qur’an does many simplifications, so that the haplological principle becomes dominant in each fragment. However, in other fragments other principles are also found such as existence, modification, and conversion. The most basic difference between them is in theme of the story. The story of Noah in the Qur'an has monotheism or tauhid theme, while in the Bible the theme is human crime.]]>

<![CDATA[This article describes the academic aspects of the interpretation of Mahmud Yunus which is named Tafsir Al-Qur’an al-Karim. This interpretation is one of the pioneers of Indonesian-language interpretation works that are widely used by the majority of Muslims in Indonesia. He dared to introduce the use of Latin letters for translation and interpretation of the Qur'an. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The conclusion of this study is that the academic aspects of Mahmud Yunus' interpretation work include scientific, social and intellectual styles. The scientific style in its interpretation is a new style that is associated with developing science, so its interpretation seems to emphasize the close relationship between the Qur'an and the development of science and technology which are the main characteristics of modern thought. The social and intellectual patterns are more demonstrated by Mahmud Yunus through the use of elements of common expressions, as well as traditions, customs and socio-cultural phenomena in their interpretation.]]>

<![CDATA[Theoretically, the stories in the Qur'an have the advantage to give more impression to human beings so that they can shape attitudes and behavior. Especially for young people, the method of storytelling is easier for them to accept the lessons. This is supported by preliminary findings that when the verses of the Qur'an are gathered which contain the word “youth” in them, then all of the verses contain stories, so this research has a hypothesis that the stories of the Qur'an ( qashash al- Quran ) has an influence in the building of prophetic characters for the younger generation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of the study of the Qur'anic qashash on the prophetic characters building in young generation. This research uses quantitative methods with the type of pre-experimental research using the one group pre-test post-test design. The selection of subjects in this study uses non-random sampling techniques with a purposive sampling method. The subjects of this study were twelve people with poor and good prophetic character categories. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Usuluddin Adab and Da'wah IAIN Langsa for six meetings. The instrument used is a Likert model of Prophetic Character Scale. While data analysis uses non-parametric statistical techniques using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS version 17.00. The results showed that in general the study of qashash Al-Qur'an was relatively effective in shaping the prophetic character of students. While specifically this study obtained conclusions; there are differences in the average score of prophetic characters before and after the treatment is given in the form of a study of Qashash Al-Qur`an. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the study of Qashash Al-Qur`an on the prophetic characters building in students.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this article is to describe the writing of Muṣḥāf al-Qur'ān Sciences Education Foundation (YPIIQ) Wonosobo still written by hand in this sophisticated era. The type of this research uses the field research by a qualitative method approach which finds out the phenomenon and analyse the existing data. The process of collecting data uses interview, observation and documentation techniques, and it has found some interesting things. Firstly, the emergence of the tradition of writing Muṣḥāf by hand and giant size departing from KH. Muntaha's idea, he is the caretaker of the Al-Asy'ariyyah Taḥfῑż al-Qur’ān Islamic Boarding School, Kalibeber, Mojotengah, Wonosobo, Central of Java. The devotion of KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz to al-Qur'ān made him to finally realise the grand Qur'ān writing project. KH. Muntaha al-Hafidz also wants to continue writing Al-Qur’ān that had been written by his grandfather, namely KH. Abdurrahim (1860-1916 AD). Secondly, before writing, there are certain provisions that must be carried out by writers namely they must be in a sacred condition when writing the muṣḥāf, do the sunnah prayers of two raka'at and write it accompanied by fasting except several days that are forbidden to fast. Thirdly, the strong factor that encourages the tradition of writing muṣḥāf at the Qur’ān Sciences Education Foundation (YPIIQ) Wonosobo is still being carried out till now because of devotion to teachers and wants to always glorify the muṣḥāf.]]>
