Abstract

This article discusses the phenomenon of grounding the interpretation of the Qur'an in Indonesia by focusing on M. Quraish Shihab as a modern-contemporary interpreter who successfully interprets the Qur'an in written and oral form. The important location of M. Quraish Shihab in grounding the interpretation of the Qur'an lies in his efforts to interpret the Qur'an with language that is easy to understand but has high quality content. This makes M. Quraish Shihab always an important reference in the interpretation of the Qur'an in Indonesia, both among Al-Qur'an scholars and ordinary people. Tafsir Al-Misbah is evidence of success in grounding the interpretation of the Qur'an in Indonesia, both in the form of commentaries and studies. Kitab Tafsir Al-Misbah is the work of Phenomenal M. Quraish Shihab in simplifying the language of its interpretation, having previously been considered to be rambling on Kitab Tafsir Al-Qur'an 'Al-Karim. Meanwhile, the "Kajian Tafsir Al-Misbah" was born as an effort to maintain the understanding of the Qur'an by experts, so that the public gets enlightened understanding of the Qur'an by people who are truly in their capacity as interpreters of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Submission of good information to others is a human dedication to the universe. All human beings created have a vision and mission of life, namely devotion to the Creator by doing good for all nature and everything, depending on the profession and the role of each. The problem in this article is that De Jure all Muslims are obliged to improve this nature with da'wah, but De Facto found very few Muslims who preach according to their respective professional roles and find a lot of challenges in delivering da'wah so as to make Muslims less concerned about da'wah efforts in this universe. Against this problem, researchers used the Hermeunetic method that focused on the text language of the Qur'an and its interpretation to increase the motivation of Muslims in carrying out da'wah activities according to their respective professions for the good of the world. The results of this study were found in the Qur'an to find a lot of motivation for preachers to gain success in their missionary endeavors in the world and in the hereafter. The benefits of the results of this study are to provide motivation for preachers to always be istiqamah in carrying out their da'wah efforts, for the glory of Islam on this earth.

Abstract

The study of interpretation in the disruption era is done to avoid the error of interpretation so that it does not correspond to the intent of the content of the Qur'an. This is because the Qur'an as the miracle of the Prophet Muhammad saw. contains extraordinary beauty and greatness as a guideline for human beings. The rule of interpretation of the Qur'an in the disruption era is a decree that helps an interpreter or exegetes to withdraw the meaning/messages of the Qur'an and explain what is a misconception of the verses content in relation to the increasingly unexpected changes. The rules of the Qur'anic exilence can be used as guidelines in this disruption era can refer to the view of Abd ar-Rahman ibn Nasir Al-Sa'adi in his books Al-Qawaid Al-Hisan Al-Qur'anic Tafsir as quoted by Abd. Rahman Dahlan that there are five rules of the Qur'an interpretation. Meanwhile, Muhammad Chirzin in his book presents twelve rules of interpretation of the Qur'an that can be used as a guideline in the disruption era. Meanwhile, the importance of the interpretation of the Qur'an in the disruption era, namely; First, it can help a person's interpreter in revealing the expressed or implied meaning in the Qur'an, so that it can do it reveal what if it is still vague and unclear. Secondly, in order not to give the etymological meaning of the pronunciation of the Qur'an with other meanings that are not appropriate, both in the meaning of the essence and the meaning of majazi.

Abstract

This article discusses about the Living Quran study of recitation of wirid al-Ma’tsūrāt at Abu Bakar Senior Boarding School Kulon Progo. It focuses on the practice of wirid al-Ma’tsūrāt which is read routine by students at the school. This phenomenon, which has been going on since the school was founded, has positive values for students. They feel the positive impact of the tradition of reciting it in accordance with the function of the Koran as al-dzikr (to remembrance of Allah) and al-syifā’ (to treat for illness). With the Living Quran method, which is presented by descriptive-analitically method the result is indicate that interaction with the Koran in the form of recitation can provide peace of mind for the reader, whether recited individually or in congregation.

Abstract

Development of reason or innovative creative thinking in Islamic education so far has been seen as not having a normative and theological foundation in the Koran so that it is clashed with the development of morals that already have a normative basis in the Koran, namely qolb. This study analyzes the concept of ‘Aql in the Koran as a normative-theological foundation for critical, creative and innovative thinking in Islamic education. The approach in this study is a qualitative type of library research. The data source in this study is the interpretation of the Qur'anic verses about the activities of thinking or berpikir ‘Aql, such as thinking (fikr), pondering (taddabur), understanding (tabashshur), understanding and so forth. The data analysis technique used in this study is interpretive hermeneutics. Qur'anic verses about neuroscience can be traced through key terms that refer to brain activity. The results showed that the interpretation of neuroscience verses can be traced through the concepts of tafakur, tadabur, ta'aqul, and so on. The interpretation of the concept of ‘Aql in the perspective of neuroscience can be a theological normative foundation in the development of critical, creative and innovative thinking in Islamic education. the results of this study will have implications for the paradigm of Islamic education which was originally only oriented to developing dichotomic qolb-based morals into the development of the critical thinking potential of students who are more holistic with a more scientific approach.

Abstract

Nushuz is a wife's that disobedience to the husband. Nushuz’s wife to the husband mentioned in QS. An-Nisa' [4] : 34. Indirectly in that verse also has been mentioned in tandem with a way to educate the wife of the nushuz. Many of the differences mentioned by the commentators to provide solutions regarding the wife who is nushuz. But, what is at the heart of the settlement is the final method, wadribuhunna (hitting). The concept of wadribuhunna mentioned by Wahbah Zuhaili is to beat by not injuring his wife while the concept of wadribunna. Muhammad Quraish Shihab is to look at the situation between men and women today, which is equal, so hitting is not the last way, but the right way is to give a gesture that can provide subtle education to wives who are nushuz. However, the two commentators have the same goal of the meaning of wadribuhunna, namely to apply the concept of islah that exists in the area of ​​distribution of each interpretation.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the Characteristics of the Tafsir Method used by Abu 'Abdu ar-Rahman Muhammad al-Sulamy in his book Haqāiqu Tafsîr. In addition, this paper also reveals the Sufistic values ​​contained in the story of the Prophet Musa and 'Abd which are allegedly the Sufistic Story in the Quran. In conducting the research, the writer used qualitative descriptive research analytical. So that the data obtained are not only described but also analyzed. From the results of this study it is concluded that the characteristics of the al-Sulamy Tafsir Method can be concluded as follows. First, in interpreting the Quran, al-Sulamy arranged the surahs according to the order of the Usmani Manuscripts, namely from Surat al-Fatihah to Surat an-Nas by not interpreting the entire verse in the letter. Second, in several interpreted verses, al-Sulamy's interpretation style refers to the bi riwayah or naqly interpretation by quoting the ayat (verse) or hadith. Third, in quoting certain opinions, sometimes al-Sulamy did not use the bright name of the Sufi, he used the identity of a Sufi group in a certain area, for example, 'Iraqiyyin (Sufis from Iraq), Bagdadiyyin (the Sufis from Baghdad). Fourth, the methods used by al-Sulamy in interpreting verses in the Qur'an are predominantly the isyari method. Fifth. in interpreting, al-Sulamy also contributed in conveying his ideas regarding the meaning of certain verses. The Sufistic values ​​that can be concluded from the story of the Prophet Musa and 'Abd are lessons about the nature of worship which is not only oriented towards external or physical movements of worship, synergies between fiqh and Sufism in order to get closer to Allah, the prohibition of greedy and riya' , the urgency of knowing one's position in worshiping Allah SWT, the importance of having good character in knowledge, and calming the soul.

Abstract

The Books of Tafsîr al-Munîr and Tafsîr al-Qur'ān al-Karîm are the books which compiled using Lontara script and Bugis language fully interpreting 30 Juz of Qur'ān. This research is a qualitative descriptive method which applied in the discipline of interpretation (Tafsîr) known as Muqāran by comparing two books of interpretation (Tafsîr) that are considered commensurate in order to review the differences and similarities methods used. In the systematics of the presentation, it can be concluded that the main difference between the two Books of Tafsîr Bugis is in the introduction of the interpretation (Tafsîr), whereas in Tafsîr al-Qur'ān al-Karîm begins by explaining the general description of the surah, which contains the number of surah verses, the reason for the surah name and the main topic of the surah, while in Tafsῑr al-Munῑr directly listed the verse and translation it with the title of the surah name and the number of verses at the top. In the content section of the interpretation has generally similarities in the two books of interpretation by grouping several verses based on a specific theme, in the closing section of the difference significant is found in the closing juz, each juz in Tafsir al-Munîr is closed with "Alhamdulillah", which different from Tafsîr al-Qur'ān al-Karîm, which closed with "wallāhu a'lam bi al-sawāb".

Abstract

Dialogue between Ismā’îl and Ibrāhîm in Q.S. al-S{affāt [37]: 102, is not only focused on the polemic of the determination about child referred in the verse. Likewise, the discussion about this verse is not only abaout ideal model of education for children. Another discussion no less interesting is regarding the response of the Ismā'îl when listening to the slaughtering order from Ibra>hi>m. Although there is no indication in the verse that reffer to communicative process in Ismā'îl to response that command. But in the context of communication, the reception of the message conveyed, allows him to respond the message. To provide a response, symbol processing is needed. So that it can provide an appropriate response. Therefore, to find this process, this study uses a text analysis method with a Sufi Psychological approach. By using these methods and approaches, this study concludes that intrapersonal communication in Ismā’îl involves self-entities consisting of al-rûh}, al-‘aql, and al-qalb. These three entities have their respective concepts of knowledge which clarify one another. In Ismā’îl, the concept of reason knowledge gained from his experiences gives confidence to the truth of the command. Likewise, the maturity of the soul makes it easy for the heart to gain intuitive knowledge that is affirmed by reason, giving rise to an acceptance response to the order.

Abstract

The Study on munāsabah occupies an important position in the study of the Koran. Al-Biqā'î is one of the scholars who give a very large portion of the theory of munāsabah. Al-Biqā'î divides munāsabah into two major groups, namely, between surah (chapters) and between ayat (verses). With an exploratory-descriptive method, this paper will specifically explore logical pattern of munāsabah between surah according to al-Biqa'i with a comprehensive example. The findings of this paper are based on: first, there are four possible patterns of munāsabah between surah according to al-Biqa'i. The four patterns are munāsabah between surah’ names and its content, munāsabah between surah and basmalah, munāsabah between the initial description of the surahs and munāsabah between the end of the surah and the other surah. Second, al-Biqa'i in applying a munāsabah theory is quite consistent across patterns; from the first, second, third, and fourth patterns. Third, Munāsabah occupies a very important position because it is able to explain the unity and close relationship that exists between one surah and another while also emphasize the oneness of the Qur'anic themes.
