Abstract

Comparison between ReST API and SOAP web services in providing data services that are carried out to support the improvement of these web services. The data tested is divided into 2, namely data with the same size format and data with different size formats. The test is divided into 3 stages, the first collecting with 10 data, the second 20 data, and the third 30 data, by carrying out data loading from each comparing web service. From the overall results obtained from the ReST API runs faster than SOAP. With an overall total data collection time on different devices with the same size format in the ReST API it produces 3.4 seconds and SOAP produces 3.9 seconds. While receiving data on different devices with different size formats on the ReST API, it takes 4.7 seconds and SOAP takes 5.3 seconds.

Abstract

Steganography is the science of hiding messages into a container without changes detected by the human senses. Cryptography is the science to keeping the message still safe. Combine between Steganography and cryptography can be used, but if there is exchange information still use separately, worry about there is a change in file size, which can result in damage. VoIP is a technology that allows to communicate with use communication lines on a network. VoIP refers more to voice communication. I am utilizing VoIP as a voice communication channel with voice as a medium for inserting secret messages. The research results that steganography techniques can be used with VoIP. By inserting a text message that is first encrypted and then entered into sound by the Least Significant Bit method. The test results, the Alpha testing, and Beta testing, resulted in a percentage above 90%.

Abstract

Pertemuan 5 Menit (P5M) is a routine activity that is always carried out by instructor in Politeknik Manufaktur Astra (Polman Astra) to students in each Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) before or after lectures begin. Students who do not follow or violate the rules at the time of P5M will get a penalty in the form of minus hours. Minus hours are penalties given to students. Data minus hours of P5M are recorded using a form that is recapitulated one by one for every week and inputted into academic information system  Polman Astra. The input time for minus P5M clock data is 565 minutes. Therefore we need an information system that can help overcome or automate it. In this research an analysis and design will be carried out using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) stages with extreme programming methodology which will reduce the recapitulation time from 565 to 280 minutes.

Abstract

Brake lining pad is important in driving safety. It must be able to stop the vehicle as quickly as possible. Calcium carbonate is The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of calcium carbonate to the brake brass-epoxy lining pad. Calcium carbonate meet have good physical properties, such as having low porosity and fine particles while brass has a good heat conductor and is corrosion resistant so it is resistant to heat. The tests carried out on brake pads include wear and hardness tests. The results showed that the optimal wear rate in a dry state (40% calcium carbonate-20% brass-40% epoxy) was 0.0352 mm²/kg. While the wear rate in wet conditions (20% calcium carbonate-40% brass-40% epoxy) was 0.0396 mm²/kg. The hardness brake lining pad (20% calcium carbonate - 40% brass -40% epoxy) was  176.44 kg/mm².

Abstract

In Indonesia the needs toward energy has been increasing. Therefore, eco-friendly renewable energy becomes an alternative power source. In relation to the idea, within the conduct of the experimental study the researcher designed a Savonius-type waterwheel with horizontal axis and the waterwheel was tested in the river stream. Then, within the design the researcher applied one waterflow regulator with the angle variation 30?, 45? and 60?. The study was conducted on river flow with a flow velocity of ± 0.6 m / s. the result is the addition of the deflector angle affects the ability to support the load, the maximum wheel efficiency(Cp) of 0.57.

Abstract

Basa Walikan can be used as one of the methods in cryptography because the Basa Walikan character exchange process is not easily understood by all people who can speak Javanese. Basa Walikan used in this research  is Basa-Walikan in Yogyakarta, which is sourced from Javanese script characters written in a two-line countdown rule. In Roman characters it becomes ha, na, ca, ra, ka, da, ta, sa, wa, la, pa, dha, ja, yes, nya, ma, ga, ba, tha, nga. The characters in Javanese script are written in 4 (four) lines. The process of character reversal in Basa Walikan uses the mechanism of the first line exchanged with the third line and the second line is swapped to the fourth line as well as the opposite. In this research software for message safety with Basa Walikan was made. From the White Box and Black Box test results it can be concluded that the encryption process and the description process are in accordance with the design of the application being made. If the word being tested is two consonants m and p that are close together, then the encryption process and the description process is done separately or by character.

Abstract

Many factors affect the welding results including electrode movement, welding current and electrode type. This study aims to determine the effects of electrode movements on SMAW welding to the quality of ST-37 steel welds. The quality reviewed includes microstructure, tensile strength, yield stress and weld defects. The study used ST 37 Steel  with thickness 10 mm and a size of 100 mm x 200 mm, open V seam with an angle of 600 degree. E 7016 series electrodes had a diameter of 3.2 mm. Welding current 90-92 amperes, polarity DC +, welding voltage 25 volts and travel speed 8-10 cm / minute. Electrode movements variations include straight, zig-zag and spiral movement. The results showed that the micro structure of the Acicular Ferrite (AF) on the electrode spiral movement looks uniform, tight, dominates the area, the spiral movement of the electrode provides the highest tensile strength and the highest yield strength and the electrode spiral movement does not produce welding defects

Abstract

Flight safety can be created only by good cooperation from all stakeholders in aviation. In other words, each flight stakeholder has the responsibility and contribution to the flight safety. This condition shows the importance of analyzing the implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) in the aviation industry, because it is a part of the State Safety Program (SSP) in accordance with ICAO standard. The research method is presented descriptively related to the aviation safety regulations with the current conditions of implementing flight safety. The results showed the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) by each flight stakeholder was running, but the "Flight Safety Promotion" activity had not been able to run properly, because there were no periodic reports issued by regulators on the Aviation Safety Program. Another thing is the violation of the implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) has not been through the "Aviation Professional Assembly", so that the personnelwho committedthe violations will get objective punishment.

Abstract

P5M is a readiness inspection activity such as the attributes and attendance of students before practicing. Students whose attributes are incomplete will be recorded in P5M sheet. Each attribute has a violation point or hour minus. P5M data, will recapitulate the number of hours minus. Constraints that occur in the Astra Manufacturing Polytechnic, namely the filling process of P5M sheets is still manual. This causes the time required to recapitulate minus hours to be long, which is on average 5 minutes. This causes the process of renewing the number of hours minus students and the process of paying hours minus being hampered. To overcome this, an Android-based P5M information system was made. This information system was developed using the Extreme Programming methodology and the MySQL database. With the P5M information system, it can eliminate the process of recapitulation of minus hours and reduce paper usage.

Abstract

Lovebird (Agapornis) is a type of bird that has become the belle of new pet birds lately. The interest of the hobbyist in this one song is because Lovebird has a unique chirp. For beginner lovebird fans, the lack of knowledge and experience about lovebird birds results in various cases of fraud in choosing a quality lovebird. They were disappointed expensive lovebirds that had been purchased but did not match what was expected.Lovebird chirping voice recognition can be learned and recognized through the learning process of speaker recognition, which is part of voice recognition. Speaker recognition captures the frequency of the lovebird's voice, then compares it with the sound frequency of the existing training data. The sound frequency and the long duration of chirping of lovebird birds will be extracted through the Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) method. Information in the form of Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients from input data and training data is then compared to the Dynamic Time Warping method. The methodology used in this study uses the grapple method.The results of this study were obtained an accuracy value of sound validation by 80%. It is hoped that with the capabilities of this system, it can help bird chirping lovers know the sound quality of lovebird birds that are good, moderate, and less. Also, it can help the jury of birds chirping, so that it can be used as an accurate standard in classifying lovebird sounds.
