Abstract

systems that directly affects system performance and stability, especially in multitasking environments. Differences in memory management mechanisms can result in varying performance characteristics in terms of memory allocation, fragmentation, and system management overhead. This study aims to analyze and compare the performance of paging, segmentation, and the combination of paging-segmentation mechanisms thru a simulation approach. The method used is event-driven simulation on a multitasking operating system with a single processing unit (single CPU). Performance evaluation is conducted based on the success rate of process allocation, memory fragmentation, and page fault frequency as indicators of memory management overhead. Simulation results show that the paging mechanism can maintain a high success rate of process allocation across all system load scenarios, but with an increase in page fault frequency. The segmentation mechanism shows optimal performance under low load, but experiences a decrease in allocation success under high load due to external fragmentation. Meanwhile, the paging-segmentation combination mechanism provides the most stable performance with a consistent allocation success rate and more controlled memory fragmentation. The results of this study indicate that the combination mechanism is the most balanced approach for multitasking systems with dynamic workload variations.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the quality of 20 multiple-choice Informatics test items administered to Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kedungwuni using the Rasch Model with JMETRIX 4.1.1. The research employs a quantitative approach to analyze item difficulty, item fit, reliability, and the alignment between students’ abilities and item difficulty levels. Responses from 33 students were analyzed using dichotomous Rasch modeling. The results show that most items meet the fit criteria, with INFIT and OUTFIT MNSQ values within the acceptable range of 0.5–1.5. Two items require revision due to indications of underfit and overfit, while difficulty estimates range from -1.99 to 2.05 logits, reflecting adequate variation across items. Item reliability (0.6454) and person reliability (0.3104) fall into the low category, suggesting that the instrument has limited stability in distinguishing item difficulty and student ability. The person–item map reveals a moderate alignment between the distribution of student abilities and item difficulty, although several items are positioned far above or below the students’ ability range. The correlation between raw scores and theta ability estimates is very strong (r = 0.9428), indicating that raw scores adequately represent student performance, although theta provides a more accurate measurement. Overall, the instrument is feasible for use but requires refinement in terms of misfit items and enhancement in terms of difficulty distribution. These results highlight the importance of Rasch-based evaluation in improving the quality and fairness of Informatics assessments at the junior high school level.

Abstract

The scholarship recipient selection process is a multi-criteria decision-making problem that involves various criteria such as academic achievement, economic conditions, and student activities. A selection process that remains subjective has the potential to produce less optimal and inconsistent decisions. This study aims to analyze the comparison and sensitivity of the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) in scholarship recipient selection. The research method includes the preparation of alternative data, normalization, calculation of preference values, and ranking based on the criteria of Cumulative Grade Point Average, parental income, number of dependents, achievements, and organizational activity. The research results show that both methods produce relatively consistent rankings, but differ in the distribution of preference values. The SAW method tends to be more stable, while TOPSIS is more sensitive to changes in criterion values. Sensitivity analysis shows differences in the stability of results in response to changes in criterion weights. The conclusion of this study shows that the choice of method affects the ranking results and decision stability.

Abstract

The management of motor vehicle data, such as service history, fuel consumption, and tax administration, is still done manually in many workshops, which risks causing data loss, recording errors, and irregularities in vehicle maintenance monitoring. This condition indicates the need for a digital system that can help customers and workshop staff manage vehicle information in a more structured and easily accessible manner. This research aims to develop an Offline Vehicle Service Management Mobile Application as a digital solution to support vehicle data management at Adit Garage Workshop. The application development uses the Waterfall method within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application is developed using the Flutter framework and designed to operate fully offline without relying on an API or backend server, so vehicle data can still be managed when an internet connection is not available. The main features developed include recording vehicle identities, digitizing service histories, recording fuel consumption, and reminders for vehicle tax and Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) expiration. The development results show that the application is capable of integrating various vehicle maintenance information into a simple and user-friendly mobile platform. Testing using the Black Box Testing method shows that all tested features can operate according to their designed functions without any functional errors found. The implementation of the application also provides ease in recording, searching, and monitoring vehicle information for both customers and workshop personnel. Thus, the developed application can serve as an efficient digital solution to support the management and monitoring of vehicle maintenance, especially in workshop environments that require a system capable of operating without an internet connection.
