Abstract

ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to identify the type of program, socio-economic characteristics of program recipients, perceptions of fishermen, and constraints on program implementation. This research was carried out in early July to late August 2021 in Madong Village, Bugis Village, Tanjungpinang City District. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The sample determination is 25% of a total of 143 fishermen, so that the total sample in this study is 35 people and 3 key informants. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis. There are 7 types of empowerment programs in Madong village (PKH, BPNT, BSPS, KUSUKA, facilities assistance from KKP, infrastructure assistance from DP3, KEM) The socio-economic characteristics of program recipients consist of social aspects, namely housing conditions, education, family size, type of work and social groups meanwhile from the economic aspect consist of capital, income, work system and production system

Abstract

The research aims to determine 1) the marketing channels of Mondol stingrays; and 2) marketing margins for Mondol stingrays. The research method used is a combination research method. The results showed that there were four marketing channels in Kawal Village: 1) Fishermen- Consumers; 2) Fishermen - Middlemen Consumers; 3) Fishermen - Middlemen - Merchants Collectors - Consumers; 4) Fishermen - Middlemen- Retailers-Consumers. Marketing margins on marketing channels are different in each marketing channel.

Abstract

Mapur Island has a total area of 1,046.29 hectares, which it located at east part of Bintan Island. Mapur Island has the potential of coral reefs that are directly utilized by fishermen of Mapur Island (fishing ground) and the beautiful of coastal waters that are to be used tourisms activities such as snorkeling and diving. The study aims to identify coral reef ecosystem services in Mapur Island, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands and to estimate the economic value of coral reef ecosystems in Mapur Island, Bintan Regency. on January – February 2022 Mapur Island, Bintan Regency. Research using methods is a mixed method, combining two quantitative and qualitative research methods. Determination of respondents using a simple random method of Simple Random Sampling. This research was procedured by three stages, namely preparation, implementation and data processing. Data were analyzed in the form of direct use value, indirect use value, option value, and exitence value, total economic value (Total Economy Value). The results showed that the kind of the benefits of coral reef ecosystem services in the Mapur Island, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands, where it obtained 4 benefits: Direct used benefits; indirect used benefits; the benefits of choice; the benefits of existence. The results of the total economic value of coral reef ecosystems on Mapur Island, Bintan Regency with The area of 1,046.29 ha as big as IDR.1.010.753.105.005 year. With direct used benefits of IDR.897.077.366.884 year, indirect used benefits of coral reef ecosystems of IDR.8.740.788.790 year, elective benefits of IDR.99,104,588,800 year, and existence benefits of IDR.100,600,531 year.

Abstract

Pengudang Village is a tourist village located in Bintan Regency. The main tourist attraction in Pengudang Village is mangrove tourism. Mangrove tourism has its own charm for tourists, especially foreign tourists. Mangroves in Pengudang Village are very beautiful and their habitats are maintained, this cannot be separated from the participation of the community because their management is community-based. The importance of community participation in supporting the development of mangrove tourism, because effective development requires involvement (participation) from various parties (stakeholders), especially the community. The purpose of this research is to find out the driving factors and inhibiting factors for community participation in the development of mangrove tourism in Pengudang Village.
