Abstract

This study discusses buying and selling activities in the present context. A process of changing buying and selling activities that were originally traditional or conventional to digital. Due to the rapid development of technology, it is finally making changes to buying and selling activities that were originally by way of direct transactions face to face between sellers and buyers, now sellers and buyers only transact via virtual or online using certain platforms. This study uses a qualitative research method, where the researcher aims to describe and analyze changes in people's behavior related to buying and selling activities from an offline system to an online one. Social change in society is not a result or a product but a process. This change process is of course the result of an agreement or joint decision taken by an individual or a community group. The decisions taken are of course in accordance with the wishes or expectations of the group so that social change can be realized.

Abstract

The Birth of the Village Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages makes villages have an important role for regional autonomy, and village fund policies. With the existence of village funds as a source of village income originating from APBN transfers, sources of village original income (PADes) can be optimally supported if management is carried out properly. This study aims to determine the effect of village funds on PADes and analyze the use of village funds for village development activities. The study was conducted in a survey in 12 villages using descriptive analysis and paired sample T test. The results showed that there was no difference in PADes before and after village funds were given. This means that the presence or absence of village funds given to villages does not affect the increase in PADes received. 70 percent of villages in Pesawaran Regency the amount of PADes received is still zero or even decreased from the previous year. The management of village funds still has many shortcomings, both in the form of transparency to orderly rules ranging from independent villages to underdeveloped villages. 90 percent of villages utilize village funds for physical development activities and only Sukaraja Village (independent villages) which is larger utilize village funds for community development/empowerment activities.

Abstract

My Sister’s Keeper is a novel written by a New York Times Best Selling author, Jodi Picoult. The content of the novel tells the journey of a young girl making a sacrifice for her sister. This research aims to analyze the psychology of Anna doing a sacrifice for her sister. The type of this research is qualitative. The emerging conflict in main actors was analyzed using content analysis emphasizing on psychological approach. After reading and classifying My Sister’s Keeper Novel intensively, this study found the sacrifice conflict appeared in the novel. Based on the analysis, the novel shows internal and external conflict. Internal conflict (man vs self) of main character is a psychological conflict of Anna’s character about the sacrifice by doing donor of stem cell given to her sister and external conflict (man vs man) comes from her family.

Abstract

Currently the trend of listening to music using music application is gaining popularity. One of the most popular streaming music applications is Spotify. Spotify’s strong brand image makes it easy for the public to remember. Spotify’s brand image was formed through electronic word of mouth (eWOM). eWOM is marketing communication strategy that influences and generates buying interest when users see interesting and positive comments on the internet regarding the Spotify streaming music application product. This study aimsto determine the effect of eWOM and brand image on interest in purchasing Spotify premium services. What is meant by premium service is a paid feature to get full and ad free access. This study uses a quantitative approach using a survey method which conducted on 100 students of STIKOM Interstudi who are users of the Spotify streaming music application. The results show that eWOM and brand image have a positive influence on the interest in buying premium services for the Spotify streaming music application

Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out the effectiveness of quality of message, attractiveness, and display frequency in Dove TV advertisement in influencing the purchase intention. This study was performed with quantitative as the main approach and supported by a qualitative approach to help explain the findings. The population of this study was the Indonesia TV. The sample was drawn using purposive and quota sampling. Therefore, there were 200 female respondents between 18 to 35 years old. Meanwhile, for qualitative data gathering, there were five resources. The resources are selected randomly from 200 respondents. After quantitative analysis of the data, it is revealed that all the variables in Dove TV advertisement have a positive and significant impact on purchase intention. It means the hypothesis 1, 2, and 3 were accepted. However, the strongest impact belongs to the quality of the message. Followed by display frequencies and the last is attractiveness. Despite that, there is only a slight difference between display frequencies and attractiveness. This result is also confirmed by qualitative data analysis. Hence, the marketers should pay more attention to the quality of the message rather than any variable, without neglecting others in creating the plan for advertisement.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors of watching Korean dramas through online media (web) in young women. The study was conducted by distributing 400 questionnaires to young women in DKI Jakarta through an online survey. Quantitative data analysis methods are used and analyzed through factor analysis. The factor analysis summarizes two factors of watching Korean dramas, namely the learning factor and the sociability factor. It was found that Learning and Sociability are factors that influence young women to watch Korean dramas through online media (web) be-cause of the easy internet access and complete streaming facilities.

Abstract

The study focuses on finding motivation for others to watch people play video games on Twitch. The population studied is between the ages of 16 and 24 in Bekasi (509,407 People). Samples were randomly extracted with a Slovin formula with 400 responses. This data is retrieved using Google Form and analyzed using Warpls. Research motivation is the perspective of Uses and Gratification: Cognitive, Affective, Personal integration, Social integration and Tension release. The results is that cognitive factors have a significant impact on the Streamers Watch (H1c β = 0,051), Personal Integrative, Social Integrative, and Tension Release Factor have a very influence by Hours Watching variables(H3a β = 0,068; H4a β = 0,065; H5a β = 0,067), The tension release factor is strongly influenced by the streamers follow variable(H5c β = 0,093) and there are no factors that really affect the Subscribe variable

Abstract

The problem in this study is how the implementation of the conception of Crime Prevention Through Social Development (CPTSD) by Bhabinkamtibmas in combating criminal acts of terrorism and why there are obstacles to the implementation of the conception of CPTSD by Bhabinkamtibmas in combating criminal acts of terrorism. The research method specifically uses this type of qualitative research with a normative juridical approach to the problem and an empirical approach. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from interviews with resource persons and secondary data from literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the CPTSD model policy by Bhabinkamtibmas in overcoming criminal acts of terrorism is carried out through preventive, preemptive, and repressive efforts. Preventive efforts are supervision of chemicals that can be processed into explosives. Preemptive efforts are holding tabligh akbar and re-instilling Pancasila values ​​in society. The repressive effort is the establishment of the Anti-Terror Task Force. The obstacle in implementing the CPTSD model policy by Bhabinkamtibmas in overcoming criminal acts of terrorism is that Bhabinkamtibmas still lacks resources both in terms of quantity of members and in the field of facilities and infrastructure which includes the number of vehicles and task tools used to carry out Anjau Glare and binluh to the community. The Binmas Pioneer program through the CPTSD by Bhabinkamtibmas has not yet reached the target, so it has not been maximal in raising public awareness and preventing crime.

Abstract

Potensi budaya dan kearifan lokal merupakan pengembangan pariwisata dan menjadi bagian dari produk kreativitas masyarakat yang memiliki nilai ekonomis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pariwisata berbasis budaya dan kearifan lokal di Kabupaten Majene yang dikembangan dengan berbagai langkah strategis pemerintah daerah Majene. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif melalui obserasi secara langsung dan interview atau wawancara secara mendalam dengan pihak-pihak terkait penelitian yaitu Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Majene. Budaya dan kearifan lokal khususnya di Kabupaten Majene, secara universal memiliki potensi wisata budaya yang dapat dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan pariwisata berbasis budaya lokal dan kearifan lokal. Strategi pengembangan wisata budaya lokal dengan pengemasan budaya lokal khususnya budaya lokal Kabupaten Majene dapat dijadikan media promosi dan pengenalan daerah destinasi wisata budaya dan kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Social media activities and positive user experiences are very important for Public Relations (PR) strategy in three aspects, namely as a media for presentation, communication, and improving PR performance, where social media activities that can be in line with users' positive experiences will be able to function to show organizational identity, create communication, direct decision making and improve the organization's mutual relationship strategy with its publics. This study aims to understand the relationship between social media activity and customer experience in establishing relationship quality which is implemented in specific insurance companies through a study approach at PT Asuransi Jiwa Astra, which was later known as Astra Life. This research method uses a quantitative approach using the positivism paradigm. The research population is Astra Life's active customers and 100 respondents are assigned as a representative sample. Data were collected through an online survey and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results of the study indicate that Social Media Activity and Customer Experience have a positive effect in shaping Relationship Quality. The results of this study also show that Social Media Activity and Customer Experience are very strong in explaining the success of Astra Life's PR Relationship Quality strategy approach with customers so that further research can also identify Social Media Activity and Customer Experience approaches in building Relationship Quality in similar service industries in order to obtain findings. the benefits of research in the field of communication Public Relations are more diverse.
