Abstract

Industri otomotip, suatu industri yang mempuny ai kaitan iuas dengan industri hulu, memerlukan teknologi tinggi. Disamping itu industri ini menganut sistem produksi rnasa dan produknya terdiri dari banyak komponen yang bersifat mampu tukar, Karena sifat-sijat diatas maka industri otomotip memerlukan penanganan yang serins dan memerlukan tenaga kerja yang tinggi dalam ketrampilan dan pengetaltuan.Ketenaga-kerjaan di Indonesia pada saat ini dianaiisa kualitasnya, dan disamping itu situasi pendidikan dan latihan tenaga kerja dianaiisa dan dibandingkan dengan Belaud a dan India yang masing-masing sebagai negara maju dan negara berkembang. Kekurangan-kekurangan secara kualitatip keadaan tenaga kerja di Indonesia dibahas dan alternatip pemecahan untuk menutupi kekurangan diberikan, khususnya untuk menghadapi pembangunan industri otomotip pada PEIATA IV

Abstract

A two-stroke engine is one of the commonly used energy conversion systems for transportation.The process inside the cylinder and the transport passages can be simulated with mathematical models with certain assumptions. In modeling and simulating a two-stroke engine, the flows in the passages are modeled as unsteady gas flows. The unsteady gas flows are important in a twostroke engine since they affect the intake and exhaust processes of the working fluid. The results of the simulation can be used for analyzing or tuning the intake and exhaust passages of a two-stroke engine. As an example, the program was applied for a two-stroke engine MK1.

Abstract

The objective of the present research is to develop a miniature of a module of the Flexible Transfer System (STF). STF is the alternative solution of system transportation in advance manufacturing system environment which considered flexible on its components. The flexibility that can be fulfilled by STF is the flexibility in a route of transportation and the ability to be developed in the future. For these purposes, the control architecture of STF is designed to be distributed and each of the controllers has autonomy to carry out decision making based on its condition. At this research a miniature of STF that consists of a mechanical system module, an executor controller, and a manager controller has been developed, and the communication among the distributed controllers has been carried out and successfully.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah struktur dengan jumlah elemen besar seringkali tidak dapat dilakukan dengan bantuan komputer kecil. Metoda substruktur merupakan metoda yang memungkinkan analisa struktur melalui analisa substrukturnya. Dengan metoda ini persamaan simultan struktur keseluruhan dikondensasikan menjadi beberapa persamaan simultan kecil sehinggal memungkinkan penyelesaian masalah struktur kompleks dengan bantuan komputer kecil. Tulisan ini membahas dasar metoda substruktur tersebut dengan disertai contoh penerapannya.

Abstract

Inspection is an activity to detect and evaluate the possibility of damage or degradation of operating equipment. Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Method is one of management inspection methods based on risk level of an equipment or a work unit. The RBI Method uses a combination of two parameters (category of failure possibility and category of failure consequence) for determining the level of risk for industrial equipment. The method was applied to several chemical reactors in a petrochemical industry such as Hydrotreater, Secondary Reformer, Shift Converter, Ammonia Synthesis Converter, Methanator, Zinc Oxide Guard, and Mercury Guard Chamber. Using qualitative RBI method, the risks of the equipment are as follow: Hydrotreater (Low Risk), Secondary Reformer (Low Risk), Shift Converter (Low Risk), Ammonia Synthesis Converter (Low Risk), Methanator (Low Risk), Zinc Oxide Guard (Low Risk), and Mercury Guard Chamber (Low Risk). Meanwhile, using semi-quantitative RBI method, the risks were found to be: Hydrotreater (High Risk), Secondary Reformer (High Risk), Shift Converter (High Risk), Ammonia Synthesis Converter (High Risk), Methanator (High Risk), Zinc Oxide Guard (High Risk), Mercury Guard Chamber (High Risk).

Abstract

Clinker production of a cement plant can be increased by rising clinker to kiln feed ratio-CKFR. One of the methods for increasing CKFR is by improving the separating efficiency of the top cyclone. The increase of separating efficiency of the top cyclone causes not only the increase of production, but is also followed by the lowering of specific heat consumption and percentage of ash in the coal because the exit gas from thetop cyclone is normally used for coal drying. This paper presents a simple and cheap modification of the top cyclone that has been applied in a Indonesian cement plant. The results show that the proposed modification can simultaneously increase clinker production, lower both of specific heat consumption and percentage of ash in the fine coal that used as the main fuel of the plant.

Abstract

Dalam tulisan ini dibahas suatu penerapan dari metode optimasi untuk mendapatkan redaman struktur melalui pelapisan material viskoelastik secara optimal. Algoritme optimasi yang digunakan didasarkan pada metode kriteria optimalitas (optimality criteria) dari Kuhn-Tucker, di mana berat total struktur di ambil sebagai fungsi objektif dengan kendala dinamik berupa redaman struktur. Model redaman yang digunakan adalah redaman jenis histeritik. Gradien fungsi kendala terhadap disain variabel dihitung dengan menggunakan perhitungan sensitivitasdengan variabel kompleks. Sebagai contoh numerik diberikan satu kasus optimasi pelapisan material viskoelastik pada suatu beam Euler-Bernoulli.
