Abstract

Pada penelitian ini diukur gaya hambat model mobil pick up Dodge RAM 150 dan dilakukan teknik visualisasi aliran untuk mengetahui detail pola aliran pada model tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, gaya hambat yang diukur adalah gaya hambat total. Gaya hambat aerodinamika merupakan salah satu penyebab tingginya konsumsi bahan bakar untuk kendaraan darat. Studi dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan melakukan pengujian di terowongan angin berkecepatan rendah yang memiliki seksi uji berukuran 30 cm x 30 cm yang dilengkapi timbangan luar. Metoda pengurangan gaya hambat aerodinamika yang digunakan adalah penambahan perangkat pada model, yaitu berupa spoiler, kanopi dan spoiler + kanopi. Desain konfigurasi tambahan ini didapat dari pengamatan terhadap hasil visualisasi aliran dengan menggunakan bedak dan lempung China (China Clay). Pengujian dilakukan pada kecepatan 36 km/jam, 54 km/jam, 72 km/jam, 79.2 km/jam, dan 90 km/jam. Pengurangan gaya hambat karena pemasangan spoiler, kanopi, dan spoiler + kanopi bervariasi terhadap kecepatan. Pada kecepatan 90 km/jam efek pemasangan spoiler, kanopi, dan spoiler + kanopi menjadi tidak dominan.

Abstract

Micro Unmanned Helicopter with ability of takeoff, landing and hovering offeres excellent support tool for missions in indoor environment. In this paper, a review of preliminary studies towards the development of autonomous coaxial helicopter MAV is presented. The paper starts with the statement of coaxial helicoper MAV development. Then, it is continued by the introduction of development of dynamic model for a typical coaxial rotor platform. In the third issues, initial steps in development of sensory system and control system will be dealt with. In brief, an analytical mathematical model has successful derived. This model together with the developed sensor system will act important role towards the full development of the dynamics model as the system identification is carried out.

Abstract

This paper evaluate the elastic field that induced by a uniform pressure applied over a circular area on the surface of an elastic half space. The half space is transversely isotropic, where the planes of isotropy are parallel to the surface. A potential function method is adopted where the elastic field is written in terms of three harmonic functions. The known point force Green functions are used to find the solution for uniform normal load over the area by quadrature. The elastic displacement and stress field are evaluated in term of closed form expressions containing complete elliptic integrals of the first, second and third kinds. Following limiting procedure allows the isotropic solution to be obtained. It is shown that the present results agree with the previous published solutions but the new solutions could be put in a more convenient form. Special consideration is also given to derive the limiting form of the stress field on the surface.

Abstract

Aliran yang melintasi susunan empat silinder sirkular di center line telah banyak dilakukan, baik secara eksperimen, simulasi, maupun visualisasi. Fenomena aliran yang terjadi di sekeliling silinder akan berbeda, ketika rasio susunan empat silinder sirkular disetting di L/D= 3,0 dan diletakkan dekat dinding. Pengaruh lapis batas dari dinding akan mempengaruhi aliran pada lower cylinder terutama down-stream cylinder yang sebelumnya hanya dipengaruhi oleh up-stream cylinder. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap fenomena aliran di sekeliling susunan silinder yang diletakkan dekat dengan dinding tersebut. Metode simulasi numerik disini menggunakan bantuan software FLUENT 6.3.26, dan karakteristik aliran diteliti pada susunan empat silinder sirkular dengan rasio L/D= 3,0 yang ditempatkan dekat dinding dengan variasi rasio G/D= 0,2; 0,7; dan 1,2 pada bilangan Reynolds 5,3x104 berdasarkan  diameter silinder. Dalam menentukan model viskos yang akan digunakan, dilakukan validasi antara hasil simulasi numerik yang menggunakan berbagai model viskos dan hasil eksperimen pada silinder sirkular tunggal yang ditempatkan di center line. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa dari berbagai model viskos 2D-URANS yang telah dicoba, model viskos k-ω sst memiliki hasil yang mendekati hasil eksperimen. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, diperoleh pressure coefficient distribution (Cp) dari upper cylinder dan lower cylinder yang berbeda. Selanjutnya dari hasil simulasi ini juga dapat dilihat bahwa daerah di belakang silinder sirkular, antara upper dan lower cylinder terjadi perbedaan pola vortex shedding.

Abstract

This paper discusses numerical solution of natural convection in concentric annulus. Artificial Compressibility Method has been used to solve two dimensional Navier Stokes equations. And to strengthen the relationship between pressure and velocities, pressure was placed on the cell center, whereas the velocities and temperature were placed on cell vertex. Navier Stokes Equations were divided into discrete forms by finite volume method, so that flow conservation could be kept balance. The computation results show no significant difference with the other results solved using other computation method.

Abstract

This paper concerns with the correlation of phase equilibrium of binary system of carbon dioxide-ethanol at subcritical and supercritical condition. In this study, three equations of state(Redlich-Kwong, Soave-Redlich-Kwong, and Peng-Robinson) together with conventional mixing rule, were applied for correlating phase equilibrium the system. The capabilities of these equations of state were examined with experiment results obtained from the literatures. The results show that Soave-Redlich-Kwong and Peng-Robinsoh equations of states can well correlate the phase equilibrium of binary system of carbon dioxide-ethanol.

Abstract

This paper presents a strategy in analyzing shaft-rotor dynamics system based on finite element and pseudo-modal methods by using MATLAB® programming language. The validation of computer program developed in this study is carried out by comparing the results with those obtained in the reference [1]. The computer program then is used to analyze the dynamic behavior of the electric generator 1FC 1801 produced by PT PINDAD (Persero). The validations of the computer program’s results with those obtained in reference [1] have shown a very good agreement. The application of the computer program in analyzing the dynamic behavior of electric generator type 1FC 1801 has shown that the rotor dynamic system has no critical speed in the range of its operational speed.

Abstract

This paper presents a robust adaptive impedance control for robot manipulators. The robust adaptive impedance control is designed to obtain fast and accurate force tracking. The proposed controller does not require special knowledge of robot dynamics and environment models. Lyapunov-based Model Reference Adaptive Control is used to establish a global stability of the tracking errors. Experimental results on an industrial robot are presented to verify the force tracking performance of the proposed controller.

Sistem positioning yang biasa dijumpai dalam mesin perkakas CNC akan dibahas sebagai salah satu contoh aplikasi dari Pengolah Mikro dalam Teknik Mesin.
