Abstract

Batam is a city located in the Riau archipelago., besides being known as an industrial city, Batam City is also a famous tourist attraction, where one of them is a motorcycle tourism ojek, several beaches frequented by local and national tourists are beaches located in the region barelang namely vio-vio beach and Malay beach. The beauty of nature and the attractiveness of building and beach facilities are needed for the advancement of the beaches in the city of Batam in order to advance and develop coastal tourism. To maintain and maintain the number of beach visitors is needed an effort to maintain the quality of service so that visitor satisfaction can be maintained and improved. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of satisfaction of the end using the servqual method based on five aspects, namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, and by taking a sample of 130 samples. The results of the study of 130 respondents were for the servqual score, which is the average value of the gab for each dimension. Based on the results of research conducted servqual value of each dimension on the vio-vio beach is tangible (-1,014), reliability (-0,910), responsiveness (-0,969) assurance (-0,967), and empathy, namely (-1,077), while for Malay beach are tangible (-1,005), reliability (0,969), responsiveness (-0,938) assurance (-0,883), and empathy (-0,992), and based on servqual score calculation results of the calculation of gab for the five dimensions> -1 which means satisfied, for IPA analysis on the vio-vio beach that needs to be improved is in quadrant I namely the dimensions of reliability, responsiviness and empathy while on the Malay coast is tangible, responsiviness and empathy

Abstract

The market as one of the public facilities that are needed by the community in economic activity. But at present, the conditions in traditional markets are very dirty, smelly and unhygienic. This is caused by ineffective waste disposal management. The purpose of this research is to design a proposed layout of an effective Waste Disposal Site in the traditional market of Batam City, Pasar Toss 3000 Batam. This study uses the Activity Relationship Chart and Activity Relationship Diagram methods to obtain an effective Waste Disposal Site layout for the stalls of traders. Based on the results of this research, it can be seen that the design of the layout of the Waste Disposal Site for the traders' stalls is influenced by the criteria of proximity needs. This shows that the layout of the Waste Disposal Site must be close together according to the needs of each type of seller’s product. Based on the results of the proposed design, the layout of the Waste Disposal Site is arranged based on the needs of traders in accordance with the type of seller’s product.

Abstract

At present, many accidents occur on shipping, whether from human negligence or from disasters that occur without human knowledge. Then a rule is made before sailing the parties concerned must check everything related to shipping to avoid accidents. Batam is an archipelago that is connected between many islands, so that sea transportation is the main budget in crossing to various islands. Nowadays there are many accidents such as ships sinking, ships colliding and ships burning, this is due to human negligence. The main objective of this research is to improve shipping safety in Batam City, by observing the waves and engine checks when the ship is about to depart the crew must pay attention to this in order to avoid accidents on the cruise that will be used. So that the passenger safety of the ship is guaranteed. In this study using the mamdani method. The Mamdani method looks for the smallest value to the greatest value. In the Fuzzy method there are three operators, OR, AND and NOT operators. This study uses the OR operator. The steps of this research work, 1. Determine the input variable 2, determine the fuzzy set, 3, rule composition, 4, the final result is in the form of defuzification. The results of this study are in the form of a decision-making system in determining the level of maritime shipments and how to prevent them from occurring accidents in the shipping system by taking into account the input variables that have been set such as safety devices, paying attention to waves and always checking ship engines regularly. So that accidents can be avoided. So that the safety of shipping in the city of Batam is more guaranteed.

Abstract

Anthropometry is defined as the science of measurement and art in applying human physicalproperties, which is one of the most important factors to consider in designing a product. Productsthat meet ergonomic rules are products that are designed according to the dimensions of the user'sbody. Various factors affect anthropometric data, one of which is ethnicity. Ethnicity is defined as agroup of people identified through ancestral heritage, certain languages and certain cultures.Indonesia has more than 300 different ethnic groups, so it is important to represent anthropometricdata based on ethnicity. Batam City has a heterogeneous community consisting of various tribes andgroups. The dominant tribes include Batak, Javanese, Malay, Minang and Chinese. With the variationin anthropometric size, it is not possible for a design system to adjust to all types of sizes, thereforethere is a need for a database of anthropometric sizes in Indonesia. From the comparative testconducted by Anova testing, all 36 anthropometric with Sig. <α (0.05) which means that there aredifferences in Anthropometric between the five terms. Whereas for differences in AnthropometricBatak and Javanese are 19 same and 17 different, Batak and Malay are 14 same and 22 different,Batak and Minang are 12 same and 24 different, Batak and Chinese are 14 same and 22 different,Java and Malay are 12 same and 24 different, Java and Minang are 12 same and 24 different, Javaand Chinese are 12 same and 24 different, Malay and Minang are 9 same and 27 different, Malay andChinese are 14 same and 22 different, Minang and Chinese are 14 same and 22 different. The resultsof anthropometry obtained based on this research are expected to be a recommendation in thedevelopment of more ergonomic tools for users, especially the people of Indonesia.

Abstract

The distribution of fertilizers in Central Sulawesi Province has not been efficient due to the large transportation costs in March 2016, the distribution of fertilizers could not go directly to retailers because the distance between regencies was far enough so that fertilizer was sent to distributors before to retailers to minimize costs to be incurred. company. Transhipment problems are in the form of indirect distribution problems because the products sent must go through several stages before reaching the consumer. This study will compare the Vogel Approximation method in previous studies with the completion of linear programming with Lingo software tools. Transportation costs using the Vogel Approximation method in previous studies compared with transportation costs using the Lingo software tool have the same cost of IDR 508,289,000, but there are several different fertilizer distributions. Lingo software simplifies data processing so that the results obtained are more accurate than the Vogel Approximation method. Companies can use lingo software to minimize costs by working effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

The coffe shop is not just a place to drink coffe but is a lifestyle. Coffee had a positive development trend in accordance with the habits of many people to drink coffee. One of the cafes that is currently popular in Sleman Regency is Ethikopia Coffee. Ethikopia Coffe visitors are satisfied to enjoy coffe products. This study aims to determine the final level of and italic statisfaction using servqual and in terms of five aspects namely tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. This study used 30 samples with method a accidental sampling. Servqual score shows the average value gab for each dimension, tangible (-0.75), reliability (-0.47), responsive (-0.20) assurance (-1.01) and empathy (-0,42). The IPA analysis on Ethikopia Coffe that needs to be improved is in quadrant I is the tangible, responsive and empathic dimensions.

Abstract

UKM Jovelyn is a small medium enterprise (SME) that engaged in the field of bakery production. Until now, they produce cakes and cookies. They sell products throughout the Batam area which includes (Tiban market, aviari market, mitra market and puja bahari market), shops, school canteens and so on. The SME targets several things such as profit per month, number of hours worked, number of overtime hours, machine utilities, labor utilities and so forth. Until now, the SME has not been able to reach the targets because the UKM has not determined the production amount based on the appropriate calculation. The number of products made is determined only on an intuitive basis. Determination of the amount of production cannot be determined by the usual simplex method because the objective function in the usual simplex method contains a target. Problem solving is done by using goal programming. The results of the calculation analysis show that to achieve the optimal value, the SME must produce coconut root cookies, butter cookies, nastar cookies, snow princess cookies and peanut cookies respectively 11.89 kg, 22.43 kg, 24.96 kg , 1.97kg and 0 kg. Sensitivity analysis is carried out after there are changes in conditions that result in changes in the linear program matrix, so the number of products that must be made also changes which include coconut root cookies as much as 12.8 kg, as much as 16.91 kg of butter cookies, nastar cookies as much as 25.7 and the last is 3.39 kg of nut cookies which in the initial calculation, nut cookies were not produced. The sensitivity analysis is not done by recalculation but rather by modifying the matrix and completing iteration with primal dual.

Abstract

Improving company productivity and efficiency in empowering human resource assessment is fulfilled to achieve company goals. one factor that can be done is the development of more effective equipment. Plastic cutting tools in the product packaging process are still simple, less efficient and less effective. The value engineering method is used as a method for selecting an alternative modification to a modified cutting tool and analyze it. At the analysis stage, two alternative modifications were modified from the improvement engine, where the initial design is used as a benchmark in performance evaluation. The result of tool design is the reduction in the number of defective products by 20.68% to 3.1% and The result of the cutting tool design is that there is an average increase in production 246 products per day.

Abstract

Coconut is one of the commodities that is quite important for food needs in Indonesia, especially for dishes made from coconut milk and grated coconut. This study aims to resolve the problem of coconut shipping costs at the level of coconut wholesalers with the name of the owner Mr. Yayan in the Greater Bandung area. Coconut is supplied from 3 regions namely Tasikmalaya, Lampung and Riau. Of the three regions, coconuts will be stored in 3 warehouses, namely Karapitan, Ciganitri and Cikoneng. From the three warehouses, coconut will be distributed to 3 markets in Bandung, namely Cijerah Market, Batu Buah Market and Baleendah Market. Coconut shipping uses land transportation such as pick up cars. Shipping costs are calculated based on the amount per coconut to be sent to the market. To optimize shipping costs to 3 markets in Bandung, the Northwest Corner (NWC) transportation model is used. The initial step to completing the optimal shipping transportation costs is by establishing shipping costs from the warehouse to the market, the amount of coconuts stored in the warehouse and the demand for coconuts in each market into the transportation model. The direct calculation of the cost of transporting coconut shipments from 3 warehouses to 3 markets using the Northwest Corner model is Rp 167,500. Furthermore, looking for the most optimal results using the Stepping Stone method that can provide an optimal solution to the cost of transporting coconut shipping to Rp 147,500 So by finding the most optimal results using the Stepping Stone method can save transportation costs of shipping coconut from the warehouse to the market by Rp 20,000.

Abstract

As time goes by, there are more problems regarding the quantity and quality of water in Indonesia. One of these problems was found at Sebelas Maret University (UNS), precisely at Sistem Penyediaan Air Minum UNS (SPAM UNS). In serving its customers, SPAM UNS provides water tap and water dispenser facilities. However, there are still many weaknesses in the distribution of water. This is due to the frequent occurrence of pipe leaks and it takes a long time to find the location of the leak. As a result, financial losses experienced are quite large. The purpose of this study is to reduce losses by using the District Meter Area (DMA) concept to determine the area coverage (zoning) and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the location of new reservoirs as a follow up of the zoning system. By implementing the DMA concept and the AHP method, SPAM UNS is able to reduce financial losses. The results obtained are making a new reservoir feasible because the value of the construction is almost the same as the initial loss value experienced by the UNS SPAM distribution network
