Abstract The European crisis emerged in 2008 and got worse in 2009. Triggers the onset of European crisis is because Greece has defaulted on debt. The Government of Greece that is already too much owed finally dragged the countries in the European Union into a terrible crisis. Turkey, as one of the country's largest trading partner Europe also dragged into crisis in Europe. That impact affected the economic growth of Turkey which previously showed positive growth. The resolving crisis done Turkey have in common with the way the Prophet in the developing economy of Medina when the early Muslims doing Hijra from Makkah to Medina in the year 622-623. The author tried to compare the strategies of Prophet and Turkey in tackling the impact of the crisis and build the economy of the country so as to successfully compete in the global market. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of knowledge how Turkey to cope with the impact of the European economic crisis and became one of the countries with good economic growth in the future compared with the strategies of Prophet in building the economy of Medina. This research using the method of comparative analysis in comparing Turkey's strategy in tackling the crisis and strategies of Prophet in the developing economy of Medina. While the data collection method used is by way of a research library (library research). Library Research is looking for a wide range of information, news analysis, concepts of experts thought the result embodied in books, journals, articles, internet, print-related themes. Research results based on research libraries prove that the strategy that carried Turkey to cope with the impact of the economic crisis in Europe have in common with the strategies of Prophet Muhammad in building the economy of Medina. By utilizing natural resources, building new markets and do political contracts with neighboring countries and played an important role in regional politics and make useful of the strategic location of the country, Turkey managed to cope with the impact of the European crisis and this strategy into solutions that are able to bring Turkey to the brink of success in building the economy of the country. The Effectiveness of SBY Defense Strategy to Encounter China Power in International Security Threats 2009-2014 Ulul Albab

AbstractThis study aims at explaining the effectiveness of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's defense strategy in 2009-2014 to encounter international security threats especially in the rise of China. The defense strategy built by SBY is caused by the dynamism of international security which continues to grow. The condition can threaten the sovereignty of every country and disturb the stability of international security. This research is written down based on two concepts offered; those are national interest and balance of power. This study implements qualitative method that uses literature study of several books and journals. The technique of analyzing the data used in this research is inductive techniques. Study of literacy, journals, and some books are used in data collection to collect data for SBY defense effectiveness. The finding of this research shows that the strategy used by SBY to encounter international security threats are: (1) applying active free politic in foreign policy to establish defense cooperation; (2) designing MEF to meet the standard budget in building Indonesian military strength; (3) employing free from one block when any countries deal with conflict; and (4) maintaining peace and defending the sovereignty of citizens from external threats in accordance with Islam. It is not necessary to prioritize the group interests to determine the policy of defense strategy if the strategy designed by SBY has already given an impact on its effectiveness to safeguard the sovereignty of Indonesia. The author uses an inductive approach to analyze data. By collecting data or descripting relevant as well as from reliable sources with the ultimate goal of generalizing. Abstract This paper aims to analyze the dynamics of internet-based multinational companies in China with a special focus on the discussion of the factors behind the closure of Yahoo! Inc.’s business operations in China by 2015. In order to answer this research question, this paper uses a qualitative method based on literature study as a research method. Based on the theoretical approach offered by obsolescing bargain theory and Porter's five forces model, this research conclude that the Yahoo! Inc.’s withdrawal from the Chinese market due to the accumulation of the increasingly stringent Chinese Government regulation on the internet and the increasingly competitive domestic internet industry. Strict regulation is representation of the "shift of bargaining advantage" while market competitiveness is evidence of Yahoo! AbstractThis research aims at revealing the tourism potentials of Southeast Celebes as Indonesian public diplomacy to face Asean Economic Community. Indonesia is one of Asean countries that contributes to economic integration mentioned by Asean Economic Community. Asean Economic Community is free trade or single market activity among Asean countries that was agreed with goals to develop the economics of Asean countries. one of the Asean Economic Community vision is to make single tourism of Southeast Asian, and to improve the competitiveness the economy of Asean Countries. Therefore, each country of Asean must prepare themselves, to become a target market of another country. As the biggest one of maritime nation, Indonesia has many beautiful places for tourism and one of the best tourism is located in Southeast Celebes province. This province shows their potentials of tourism with the increase of tourist numbers every year. Moreover, Southeast Celebes is one of the ten priorities of Indonesian tourism destination. Therefore, Southeast Celebes tourism is able to become one of a mainstay to face Asean Economic Community. This research uses the qualitative methodology. The data were collected with observation, collecting, finding, library research and interpreting as technique of collecting data. The technique of data analysis uses descriptive analysis method. This research is based on Islamic worldview. The objective of the research is to analyze how the role of Southeast Celebes Tourism as an Indonesian Public Diplomacy in influencing public opinion toward national interest to face Asean Economic Community. Southeast Celebes potentials are able to be soft power asset of Indonesian public diplomacy. These potentials succeed in public diplomacy, and many foreigners are engaged in visiting to Southeast Celebes, and the visitors increase every year. The increase of visitor affects to foreign exchange income, local business of local society, and economic development. United States’s Intervention Through Hollywood Film Industry In Achieving Military Security rakatama akbar

AbstractThis research aims to find out how the intervention of the United States to achieve military security interests. In terms of the achievement of military security interests, the United States generally increases military training, and facilitates military weapons equipment for military troops, by establishing a global security combat position that mobilizes all national powers, preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, particularly nuclear weapons, facing the global. In this thesis will discuss, to achieve military security United States intervened Hollywood film industry, because the balance of power between hard power and soft power is necessary in maintaining the stability of military security. The researchers used two conceptual frameworks to analyze this research, namely the concept of power, and the concept of foreign policy. This study uses descriptive analysis to explain the issues discussed in this thesis. From this study, it was found that intervention by the United States through the Hollywood film industry to achieve military security in the form of dictating, censoring, and simultaneously changing the script on the film to be produced. The use of Hollywood as a tool to achieve military security interest is appropriate, since United States has a hard power will increase if supported by soft power, therefore the balance of power between the military as hard power, and Hollywood as soft power is necessary to maintain stability military security.Keyword: United States, Hollywood, Power Balance, and Military Security.

“The Effectiveness of International Humanitarian Law in the Israel-Palestine Conflict 2014” Mohammad Abdullah Bawazir Bawazir

The international armed conflict between Israel and Palestine in 2014 became a major concern of the international society at the time. The 51-day war left facts and questions about the effectiveness of humanitarian law for international relations students. To measure how effective international humanitarian law is in the conflict, the researcher used the concept of legal effectiveness and the principles in international humanitarian law. The concept states that the law can be said to be effective if the actors can carry out the principles contained therein. In the conflict, it turned out that many violations of the law of war are perpetrated by both parties, especially Israel. It can be seen from some of the principles of international humanitarian law that are ignored; the principle of proportionality, the principle of limitation and the principle of humanity. There is also an increasing number of civilian losses and casualties being an important indication that determines the effectiveness of international humanitarian law.Keywords: The Effectiveness of Law, the Principles of International Humanitarian Law, Casualties, Israel – Palestine

ABSTRACT This paper will explain about the securitization process in addressing refugees issue in Sweden from 2010 to 2015. This research uses the concept of securitization from Barry Buzan. Some important things that Buzan explained to analyze the process of securitization, such as: Referent Object (Actors), Existential Threats (things or issues that become threats), then will proceed to be “Securitizing Move” by “Speech Act”. This paper uses qualitative method which is arranged descriptively with support by secondary data. This paper found that the process of securitization on refugee policies in Sweden from 2010 to 2015 is supported by Sweden Democrats Party and gained the response of Swedish anti-immigrant society, they are conducting the “Speech Act” sustainably. The result is that Sweden's open policy on refugees has changes by restricting and tightening the refugees policy. تحلل هذه الأطروحة كيف أن إستراتيجية الحكومة الإندونيسية في زيادة عدد الزيارات السياحية الصينية إلى إندونيسيا ، من خلال حملة "Wondeful Indonesia" كعلامة تجارية سياحية إندونيسية يمكن تصنيفها على أنها قوة ناعمة مملوكة لإندونيسيا. في حين أن هناك جهود إندونيسية لجذب السياح الصينيين من خلال إشراك العديد من الأطراف بما يتماشى مع الدبلوماسية متعددة المسارات التي تتكون من 9 مسارات للدبلوماسية. وصل عدد السياح المتزايد من الصين منذ عام 2004 وحتى نهاية عام 2017 إلى 2.093.171 متفوقًا على عدد السياح من سنغافورة. علاوة على ذلك ، كانت الزيادة في عدد الزوار من الصين كبيرة بعد توقيع مذكرة التفاهم بين وزارة السياحة و CNTA (إدارة السياحة الوطنية الصينية). هذه الحقيقة تشجع الكاتب على جعل الصين الهدف الرئيسي في البحث. تستخدم هذه الدراسة طريقة دراسة الأدب. الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو معرفة كيف تحاول وزارة السياحة جذب السياح الصينيين إلى إندونيسيا من خلال حملة "إندونيسيا الرائعة" وانعكاساتها على السياحة الإندونيسية في الفترة 2015-2018 ، لمحة عامة عن السياحة الخارجية الصينية ، ونظرة عامة عن السياحة الإندونيسية حتى عام 2018 ،يمكن ملاحظة جدية إندونيسيا في تحسين قطاع السياحة من خلال تنظيم عروض سياحية متنوعة في مختلف البلدان ، وحتى الحصول على جوائز من مختلف البلدان. تتمثل إستراتيجية الحكومة الإندونيسية لإدخال السياحة الإندونيسية في الصين في إقامة العديد من الأحداث السنوية لإنشاء العديد من المطاعم الإندونيسية الرائعة في شنغهاي. بالإضافة إلى إقامة بعض الأحداث ، تتعاون إندونيسيا أيضًا في إدارة الحيوانات النادرة مثل كومودو والباندا وإدارة توبا جيوبارك وفقًا لأهداف التنمية السياحية المستدامة (STDg). لزيادة تعزيز السياحة الإندونيسية في الصين إلى أقصى حد ، تتعاون وزارة السياحة أيضًا مع مشغلي وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي والشخصيات العامة لتكون بمثابة مؤيدين.الكلمات المفتاحية: إندونيسيا الرائعة, إستراتيجية علامة الأمة, دبلوماسية المسار المتعدد ، CNTA ، و STDg.

Abstract This research is the answer to how strategic partnerships affect infrastructure development. The researcher focuses on the comprehensive strategic partnership between Indonesia-China toward Indonesia's infrastructure development under Joko Widodo's era. Furthermore, the author will explain the benefits of the collaboration for China as Indonesia's partner country. In addition, the researcher will elaborate by using variables which are delivered in bilateral concepts, and also will use qualitative methods, in which data collections are from the study of literature - books, journals, documents that are taken from websites and trusted websites to strengthen researcher's argument. The results of this study indicate that the impacts of comprehensive strategic partnership on Indonesia's infrastructure development are realizing Indonesia's national connectivity agenda which was listed in the MP3EI document with China's helping through investment. in addition, by helping Indonesia in developing infrastructure, China succeeded in realizing and expanding the 21st century silk road agenda. THE DEVELOPMENT OF DOMESTIC AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY: THE ROLE OF INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT TO COMPETE THE JAPANESE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY Rizqi Candra Adi Nugroho Nugroho

Abstract This research will explain the roles carried out by the Indonesian government in developing its domestic automotive industry to compete the Japanese automotive industries. This research will focus on two policies namely protection policies and cooperation policies implemented by the Indonesian government. This study used qualitative research methods, by having data collection technique in the form of books, journals, and data obtained from reliable website pages and can be used in research. The results of this study explained that the roles of the government were not been effective in developing the domestic automotive industry. This was because there were two conflicting policies, namely protection policies and cooperation policies with Japan. This was caused by several free trade agreements that were established by Indonesia and foreign countries, one of which is Japan and regulates taxation and import duties on motorized vehicles, will not be affected by the protection policies implemented by the government. This led to an increase in the dominance of Japanese automotive products in the Indonesian market accompanied by a reducing the roles of the national automotive industry which resulted in a smaller opportunity for Indonesia to establish an independent automotive industry.
