Abstract

Objective:  to find out the relationship between family social support and loneliness elderlyMethods: This article is a type of correlation research with a Cross Sectional Study approach.  The data analysis method used in this study is the correlation method of correlation analysis.  To measure the relationship between two variables, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. To test the hypothesis in this study, the Spearman range correlation test was used. Results:  The results showed that the elderly who experienced moderate loneliness were 78.68%  and the elderly who received moderate family social support 84.27%. From the results of research that has been conducted on 50 people who have experienced loneliness in the working area of Tanjung Sengkuang Health Center in 2012, the correlation strength value (r) = - 0.247, significant value (p) = 0.039. The results of this study show that there is a negative, weak and significant relationship between family social support and loneliness in the elderlyConclusion:  From the correlation test, the KD value = 7.2% means that family social support contributes 7.2% to loneliness while 92.8% is influenced by other factors.

Data collection in October-April 2020 using a questionnaire and structured interview guidelines with Google Form. The data results are presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. Results: . The results showed that from 22 respondents, there were 13 respondents (59.1%) who succeeded in giving exclusive breastfeeding, 9 respondents (40.9%). The practice of exclusive breastfeeding of female workers at the Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya is more successful and there are still some that are not. Abstract

COPD is a chronic disease where monitoring of the effectiveness of treatment is not only obtained from clinical parameters, but rather from patient perspective parameters, one of which is quality of life. Quality of life is an individual's ability to function in various desired roles in society and to feel satisfied with these roles. Some non-pharmacological therapy techniques that can be taught are inspiratory muscle exercises such as the pursed lips breathing method. This study aims to identify the effect of pursed lips breathing breathing exercises on the quality of life of patients with stable COPD. This study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were patients suffering from stable COPD who visited the pulmonary polyclinic of Labuang Baji Hospital. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling, with a large number of samples, namely 27 people. Data analysis in this study used paired t-test statistical test. The results showed that before the pursed lips breathing method was practiced, the average quality of life (pre) was 58,874, while the average quality of life after the pursed lips breathing (post) method was 42,863. The results of the parametric paired t test show p value = 0.000, because p value 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the pursed lips breathing method on the quality of life of stable COPD patients at Labuang Baji Hospital Makassar. It is recommended to health workers, especially nurses, to be able to provide non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is the pursed lips breathing method for Stable COPD patients as part of implementing collaborative nursing interventions.

Abstract

Objective:   This study aims to determine the factors that influence maternal anxiety in assisting children to study at home / study from home. Methods:   The design of this study used a correlational analytic design with a "cross sectional" approach, with a population of 82 people, and a large sample of 42 respondents. The sampling technique of this research uses Non Probability Sampling: Purposive Sampling. The independent variables are maternal age, child age, education level, and occupation. While the dependent variable is maternal anxiety. Collecting data using an anxiety questionnaire using the ZRAS (Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale). The statistical test used  the logistic regression analysisResults: From the results of the logistic regression analysis, it was obtained education level data of 0.0.41 (<0.05) and the most dominant variable for the incidence of dementia in the elderly was a history of hypertension with p value = 0.031 (<0.05) and an OR value of 22.480 that work has a 22,480 times chance of causing anxiety in mothers .Conclusion:  The conclusion of this study is that the level of education and work are related to maternal anxiety. The most dominant factor affecting maternal anxiety is work which can lead to role conflict in mothers. This must be controlled with good emotional management and time management.

Abstract

Objective: Elderly is a period of a person in which organ function has shown a decline. In addition, the elderly also experience a decrease in physical activity. An imbalance between physical activity and consumption can cause weight gain in the elderly. As body weight increases in the elderly, the body mass index also increases. High body mass index can cause deformity. The deformity of the knee joint can be a change in the angle of the tibiofemoral joint. The tibiofemoral joint is formed from the articulation between the convex surface of the femoral condyle and the condyle of the tibial plateau. The angle of the tibiofemoral joint in the frontal plane has a normal value of 5 degrees to 10 degrees valgum. Changes in the tibiofemoral angle can be caused by many factors such as a high body mass index which can lead to genu valgum deformity and genu varum deformity. Methods: This research method is analytical observation design with a cross sectional approach. The number of respondents in this study were 43 respondents consisting of 32 female respondents and 11 male respondents. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The statistical test used in this study is the Sommer's D test..Results: The results of statistical tests using the Sommer's D test obtained the value of P value 0.121, which means that the correlation between body mass index and changes in the tibiofemoral angle is very weak and the significant value is 0.391 (sig > 0.05).Conclusion: There is no correlation between Body Mass Index and Tibiofemoral Angle Changes in the Elderly Karang Werdha Dirgantara Malang

Abstract

Objective: Frozen shoulder is a condition that often cause pain, joint stiffness, and limited of the shoulder joint, resulting in decreased functional ability for sufferers. Although the exact cause isn’t known, frozen shoulder arises due to an inflamatory reaction processes, and systemic disease disorders. The functional ability of the shoulder due to frozen shoulder using physiotherapy interventions. The pupose of this study was to determine the difference in the effect of giving Ultrasound and SWD compared to Ultrasound and mobilization of the shoulder joint in improving the functional ability of the shoulder. Methods: This research method is Quasi-experimental. The population sample involved 14 people who were determined using the Isaac and Michael table. There was divide into a control group and an experimental group, which consisted of 7 people. The control group was given Ultrasound and SWD, while the experimental group was given Ultrasound and mobilization of the shoulder joint. The data is collected using the SPADI questionnaire. The collected data were tested for normality using the Shapiro Wilk method and analyzed using the independent t-test.Results: There are differences in the effect of giving Ultrasound and SWD compared to Ultrasound and mobilization of the shoulder joint in improving the functional ability of the shoulder with a significant value of < 0.001Conclusion: The proves that the Ultrasound and mobilization of the shoulder joint are more influential in improving the functional ability of the frozen shoulder.

The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total of 28 respondents according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument employed the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. Results: The results of this study show that the sleep quality of hypertension patients before autogenic relaxation therapy is at the level of poor sleep quality with an average score of 15.21. Meanwhile, after being given the intervention, the average score of sleep quality for hypertension sufferers decreases to 7.18 with the majority in the category of good sleep quality. In addition, Wilcoxon test results p-value = 0.000.Conclusion: This study concludes that there is an effect of autogenic relaxation therapy on the sleep quality of hypertension patients at Puskesmas I Sumbang.
