Abstract

This research aims to obtain information on the inventory management of educational facilities and infrastructures, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors at State Vocational High School 2 Pekanbaru. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach by utilizing some data collection techniques such as a transcript, coding, and data interpretation. The results of this study showed that 1) the inventory management of the educational facilities and infrastructures had been good, it was seen by recording, classification, and coding based on the history purchase of goods. Moreover, reporting and removing the inventory had been based on the warrant by education authorities. 2) The supporting factors were the cooperation between the people at the school and adequate facilities and it has been well-formatted on the computer. Meanwhile, the obstructing factors were a large number of goods, low human resources, and relatively old age. The researcher hopes this study could be applied to be inventory guidelines for schools.

Abstract

Research is based on the idea that university governance and the dean's leadership are very important for improving lecturer performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of university governance and the dean's leadership on the performance of lecturers at the Islamic University of Sheikh-Yusuf (UNIS).. The study uses a quantitative approach with correlation and regression analysis techniques. The sample size of the study was 40 lecturers taken using proportional stratified random sampling. The research gives the result that there is a positive and significant influence on the university governance on the performance of lecturers at the Islamic University of Syekh-Yusuf. University governance has a positive and significant effect of 71.06% on the performance of lecturers; dean leadership has a positive and significant effect of 16.40% on lecturer performance, and together there is a positive and significant effect of university governance and dean's leadership of 73.59% on the performance of lecturers at the Islamic University of Syekh-Yusuf.

Abstract

Quality assurance in Higher Education is based on the accomplishment of the community needs in the digital era, so that demands and expects higher education to make innovations that needed by the community, such innovations are strategic higher education to provide hope to the community. The purpose of writing this article is to provide strengthening and knowledge in higher education to always determine the direction and policies that can do competition. This study is descriptive non-experimental which is an exposure to a concept of ideas supported by the literature. Based on the explanation, it was concluded that to build the strategic feasibility of higher education, quality assurance is needed that can build competitive innovations, namely creating professional Human Resources.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the principal's skills on teacher performance; cultural influences on teacher performance; the effect of learning facilities on teacher performance; and the motivation to learn from the principal, work culture and learning facilities together on teacher performance. The study was conducted on 86 elementary school teachers at the Tadika Puri Foundation in South Jakarta, data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to respondents, while open interviews were conducted with Foundation administrators. Data analysis use SPSS application assistance. The research findings show that there are principals 'skills on teacher performance, there is a development of work culture towards teacher performance, there is development of learning facilities on teacher performance, and there is development of principals' skills, work culture, and joint learning development on teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of student satisfaction with the performance of lecturers, especially in the lecture processes and academic services; and examine the efforts that made by STKIP Situs Banten in improving the professionalism of lecturers. The study used descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through questionnaires, document analysis, literature study, and interviews. Data were obtained from the questionnaire was processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21 application which was then interpreted descriptively. Meanwhile, the data obtained from the analysis of documents, literature studies, and interviews were analyzed using the interactive model of Milles and Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentations, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that overall students feel very satisfied in academic services, this shows that the performance of lecturers can be categorized very well. In addition, some efforts to improve the professionalism of lecturers can be done by developing pedagogical competencies, information engineering competencies, management / administrative competencies, curriculum competencies, scientific competencies (research and publications), evaluation competencies; and personal competence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using a Talking Stick model on learning outcomes of Fiqh. The research method used was a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was all students at the Fourth Grade of Islamic Primary School of Jamiatul Khair Ciledug-Tangerang, Sampling was drawn by using a saturated sampling technique in which all populations were used as samples consist of the control class and the experimental class. The instrument of this was a multiple-choice test that has four options. Moreover, the data analysis technique utilized the t-test. The results of the study showed that the mean score of the posttest for the control class was 69.8. Meanwhile, the mean score of the posttest for the experimental class was 77.76 with the standard deviations were 8.55 and 10.02 respectively. Furthermore, the result of the t-test showed that t-count (3,021)> t-table (2,011). This means that the t-count is bigger than the t-table. In other words, we can conclude that there is a significant difference between students who have studied by using the Talking Stick model and students who used conventional techniques.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out the transformational leadership style and how the implementation of Madrasa-based Management at Madrasa Tsanawiyah Annizhomiyah with its transformational leadership style. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was obtained from informants and the behavior of people who were observed, interviewed, and documented as the primary data sources and the rest was secondary data from available documents. The results of this study show that the Madrasa principal's transformational leadership style looks innovative, committed, and communicative and appreciates achievement, able to create a conducive atmosphere by making efforts to change awareness, inspiring teachers and staff to work together to become good team-work. Principal’s transformational leadership style at Madrasa Tsanawiyah Annizhomiyah includes curriculum management, student and teacher management, financial management and finance, infrastructure management, public relations management, and special service management can run optimally by the school vision, community needs, and jihad resolution spirit and high commitment built by teachers to build Madrasa education, wiling to improve quality of education, and positive thinking because every student can be a better person.

Abstract

This research is intended to describe the evaluation of life skills-based educational programs in MTs and MA Modern al-Azhary. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. Through program evaluation, the results of the study indicate that there are four problems in education programs based on life skills. First, the problem of preparing education plans based on life skills. Second, problems in organizing education based on life skills. Third, problems in implementing life skills-based education. Fourth, problems in the supervision of education based on life skills. These four problems are caused by various factors, namely: the factor of human resources which is minimal in managerial ability, the factor of limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as the factors that have not been made to improve the education program sustainably based on life skills both by the management and the teachers and administrators of the foundation. Based on the problem and the cause of the problem then efforts are made to improve, including strengthening the managerial competence of the madrasah head and his deputy, strengthening the pedagogical and professional competence of teachers, procuring facilities and infrastructure based on the priority scale, as well as following up on supervision results. Life skills-based education programs in MTs and MA Modern al-Azhary have experienced success, that is, each target that has been determined in various activities in the life skills-based education program can be achieved.

Abstract

The focus of this research was to develop a system of environmental education (EE) skills development for secondary school teachers, which was carried out using qualitative approaches. The data were obtained by the Eco-School Operational Teachers Questionnaire and a standardized interview with the experts of the Eco-School Teachers and the Eco-School Teachers. Results of this study showed that the majority of informants had an intermediate level of EE competence in 6 parts: environmental awareness, basic understanding of EE, responsibility for EE instructor updating, EE preparation and service, support for EE learning, and EE assessment. The EE development was produced to cultivate educators out of a variety of subjects to carry out interoperable learning in order to improve the environment of students before preserving or resolving society environmental issues. This systematically consisted of 5 steps including: analyzing the environmental policy covering national, educational area, and school policies; studying the community environmental problem; designing the environmental learning project; identifying the learning standard; and performing the integrated lesson plan. Authentic assessment has confirmed the efficiency of innovation, both internal and external skills

Abstract

The study aims to discover the habits that are entrenched in State Islamic Primary School that can influence the formation of learner character values which focused on reading culture and healthy school culture. This study used a descriptive approach and data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation. Besides, the questionnaire was also used to support the data. The subjects of the study were the school principal, board of teachers, staff, and students. The qualitative descriptive analysis used in the form of data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (data display), and conclusions (conclusion drawing/verification). The results of this study showed that State Islamic Primary School 1 Bantul has a madrasah’s culture that is formed based on three main cultures, namely academic culture, social culture, and democratic culture. The culture produced the Madrasah Excellence Program. Through the program, it can build honor characters to students in the form of discipline, responsible, independent, care for the environment, and friendly as well as communicative.
