Abstract

Three-phase induction motor is the motor of alternating current (AC) is the most widely used and much used by the industry because it has several advantages, among others, this motor is simple, in expensive and easy to maintain and can be directly connected to an AC power source. Besides the advantages of this motor, also has disadvantages. The disadvantage of this induction motor which has a large starting currents and the use of induction motors are often needed to stop the motor rotation quickly, especially for conveyor applications. At this final project, created a system starting star (Y)-triangle (Δ) and the dynamic braking of three phase induction motor using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Where the system is very simple, does not require a lot of support tools and can be applied to any type of three-phase induction motors. Starting of the test results to show that the method starting with Y-Δ has a starting current of 3.59 A. This current is smaller than the nominal starting current induction motor 1 HP is 6.3 A relationship Δ and 3.62 A relationships Y. Starting time is good for the displacement of the star (Y) - triangle (Δ) is 6 seconds, so the starting of induction motors using the star (Y) - triangle (Δ) can reduce the high current flow starting of induction motor starts to operate. For braking, DC injection current is supplied by 1.908 A and the stop time for load 100 W is 1,57 seconds, for load 200 W is 1,38 seconds, and for load 300 W is 0,95 seconds. Abstract

Isolasi memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam sistem tenaga listrik. Isolasi sangat diperlukan untuk memisahkan dua atau lebih penghantar listrik yang bertegangan sehingga antara penghantar penghantar tersebut tidak terjadi lompatan listrik atau percikan, untuk itu maka diperlukan bahan isolator yang baik. Bahan isolator yang digunakan pada tegangan tinggi dapat berupa porselin, gelas dan polimer, salah satu bahan isolasi polimer yang digunakan adalah resin epoksi. Bahan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah resin epoksi yang terbuat dari diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA) sebagai bahan dasar, metaphenylene diamine (MPDA) sebagai bahan pengeras dan diberi bahan pengisi sealant dan pasir silika. Komposisi bahan DGEBA dan MPDA dibuat sama yaitu masing-masing 30 gr, bahan sealant 20 gr, sedangkan bahan pengisi pasir silika dibuat variasi dari 5 gr, 10 gr, 15 gr, 20 gr, dan 25 gr. Ukuran bahan uji adalah 120 mm x 50 mm x 5 mm. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium menurut standar IEC 587:1984. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh komposisi bahan pengisi pasir silika terhadap nilai sudut kontak, dan nilai arus bocor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa resin epoksi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dikategorikan bersifat basah sebagian. Kenaikan persentase bahan pengisi pasir silika menyebabkan penurunan nilai sudut kontak yang berarti resistansi permukaan bahan isolasi semakin menurun. Penambahan persentase bahan silika juga dapat mempercepat terjadinya peluahan pada sampel isolator, akan tetapi arus bocor yang terjadi akan menjadi semakin kecil. Kata kunci : Arus bocor, DGEBA, MPDA, pasir silika.

Abstract

Hotel management business is one that is promising for entrepreneurs. However, such businesses are more suitable for middle and upper towns where the business climate is promising. For businessmen hotel located in the scope of a small town, this kind of business is a gamble that one-one could bankrupt. Typically, the campaign conducted in the hotel in a small town is done by word of mouth. Research is underway to create a program application for reservation. As one solution, the internet media is a solution that feels right. Where present, internet access is getting cheaper, easier and faster. Which is sufficient to help a particular hotel in a small town, in promoting themselves and show their existence. Web service as one of the services used, for this hotel information systems in the future can be developed according to the needs of the hotel. As in the integration with other systems that use different programming languages​​. The study produced for the application program in the form of hotel bookings website. The results obtained are in the form of hotel reservation information system that provides information on the number of rooms available. Given this system, will help users outside the city to find out information about places to stay are. Abstract

The monitoring system continued to evolve along with technological advances. This system aims to find information about the status of a particular object, as an evaluation material of the object. The development also occurs in mobile technology. Nowadays, mobile devices can be customized according to user needs. By looking at both development of technologies, there should be a development of monitoring system using mobile devices so the users can get the ease of doing monitoring process for a specific object whenever and wherever by using the application in theirs mobile device. This project is divided into four step. The first step is conduct an analysis of the methods that’s to be used in this research. The second step is designing an UML (Unified Modeling Language) to realize this system. The third step is creating and compiling the application program. Application programs is created using Java2 Micro Edition programming language (J2ME) on the Blackberry development environment. The final step is perform a tests on this application. Based on the results of tests performed, can be concluded that with these mobile applications, the users can perform a monitoring activities such as set the monitoring camera to take a pictures and access the server to request a monitoring pictures. As a monitoring system, this application provides direct monitoring (live) and the monitoring of time on request (on demand) and also provides the configuration screen for setting the monitoring time, interval cameras capture speed, interval slideshow, connection mode, the server's IP, and server port. The tests performed on Blackberry device. Abstract

The existence of electrical energy to human needs can not be separated, electrical energy is used by all humans on this planet from small scale region (household) to large-scale region such as industries. The electric energy quantity and quality demand of the electricity transmission system has been increasing over the time. Failure in the electricity transmission system can be fatal to the electrical components or operational loss in an industry. SCADA is proposed to accommodate these problems. It capables to monitor and control the disturbance on the electrical redundant system. The purpose of this final project is to simulate the SCADA on redundant power system to eliminate the failure of power transmission lines such as open-circuit failure, short circuit, and overload that can be controlled directly from the plant or through a computer interface. The Finite State Machine (FSM) and ladder diagram programming language are used to design the PLC system. There are hardware and software to support this final project, such as plant of redundant electrical systems, PLC CPM1A Omron, Laptop, CX One 9.0 software for programming the PLC and the CX Supervisor 3.0 to build the HMI. The result showed that the current sensors can be used to detect overload failure and simulate short circuit failure. Plant redundant electrical system can be monitored and controlled through the input-output of the plant, the interface on the computer, and World Wide Web. There is a relay on plant that can connect power lines to cutting power lines when the failure occurs. If an failure occurs in the form of open circuit, short circuit or overload the alarm and failure indicator will active. Keyword : SCADA, PLC, open circuit, short circuit, overload
