Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan di wilayah pesisir pantai Utara Jawa bertujuan untuk menghitung efisiensi teknis usaha nelayan jaring arad dan mengetahui efisiensi keuangan usaha nelayan jaring arad di TPI Roban Timur dan Barat kabupaten Batang berdasarkan kriteria investasi (investment criteria) sederhana yakni BC ratio (Benefit Cost  Ratio), BEP (Break Event Point) dan Payback Period. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Responden nelayan  diambil secara random sampling sebanyak 10% dari populasi yang ada karena n >100 (Arikunto, 2004) sejumlah 31 orang yang berasal dari desa Kedawung dan desa Kedung Segog Kecamatan Tulis di wilayah TPI Roban Barat dan TPI Roban Timur sedangkan Kabupaten secara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Nopember-Desember 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari hasil analisis nilai BC ratio 1,21 , BEP(Q) 17,5 kg/trip  dan BEPharga Rp 9.765,80,-/kg/trip, BEP(PK) Rp 206.546,61,-/trip;dan Payback Periode 2,2 tahun modal sudah kembali.

Abstract

Pasaran Island  located in the Western District of Teluk Betung within 5 km from the center of Bandar Lampung. This island was known as a central anchovy in Lampung. Several attempts have been made to optimize the production of fishery there, especially anchovies, in the form of technical assistance policy to business operations. However, the potential Pasaran Island is very diverse and not limited to the anchovy, one of which is the potential for the cultivation of green mussel (Perna viridis). Mussels in Pasaran Island was cultivating in 3 years ago. This study uses a combination of aquaculture site surveys, water quality data collection, interviews and laboratory analysis of heavy metal content. With adequate environmental carrying capacity, ease of cultivation technology, the proximity of the location of the city of Bandar Lampung, food safety aspects as well as support for the various parties expected the green mussel farming can be a new icon other than Pasaran anchovy so as to improve social welfare in Pasaran Island.

Abstract

Live feed is used in aquaculture as nutrient and energy source to increase the growth of  shrimp. The study of different live feed addition aimed to determine the effectiveness of enrich live feed based on growth and survival rate for black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) post larvae 2-13. The post larvae have initial average weight of 1,17 mg and initial average body length of 5,3 mm. This study design using completely randomized design with four treatments and four replications were used : Artemia naupli enriched with fish oil, Branchionus plicatilis enriched with Tetraselmis chuii, Branchionus plicatilis enriched with Nannochloropsis, Branchionus plicatilis enriched with Tetraselmis chuii and Nannochloropsis. Shrimp was kept during 14 days for studying enrich live feed which were effective for the shrimp. The data was analyzed with ANOVA and continued with the LSD test.  The research showed that different live feed addition give different growth. Artemia naupli enriched with fish oil is optimum for black tiger shrimp growth with body weight of 2,61 mg, body length of 5,96 mm, and survival rate of 89% (P<005) . It showed that enriched live feed will change contens of nutrien in live feed ang give positive response on growth and survival rate. This research support application of effective live feed management for adapting black tiger shrimp’s metamorphose in short time.

Abstract

The objectives are :(1) Measurement of the character structure of CaCO3 deposit on simping’sshells, (2) Identifying Environmental Conditions of simping in Batang. The study will be conducted exploratory descriptive method (non-experimental).  The results showed as morphometric’s measurement, there’s no difference in the population growth of simping in Batang from 2003 to current. Based of analysis of the hue-saturation value which is the phenotype of CaCO3 biomineralization mechanism that is deposited in the shell, showed that the biological potency (early-stage) of the character of the population’s simping growth in Batang is better than the Brebes’s population as a comparison. Conditions of natural habitat in Brebes relatively better, so that CaCO3 deposits is better also.Based on those results, efforts to provide science and technology inputs to support the preservation of aquaculture activities is to engineer a better environment to support the genetic potential to convert to a more optimum growth rate.  Another thing that can do is to optimize the genetic potential of Batang’s simping as selective-breeding material in marine culture. It is expected that these strategies can be used to overcome the problem of limited production scallop in northern coast of Central Java in order to meet the needs of the market potential through mariculture activities.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Tungkal Ilir, Jambi on May to July 2017. The aims of this study were (1) to determine the types of fishing gear that operates in Tungkal Ilir, (2) fishing area and (3) the dynamics of operating fishing gear in Tungkal Ilir. Data collection was done by interview and observation. The data will be analyzed descriptively using tables and graphs. Based on the results of this research, the fishing gear used in Tungkal Ilir are gill net, trawl, togok, sondong, trap and long line. Gill net is the largest fishing gear used with 15 fishermen. While the least used fishing gear is trap. The dynamics of fishing is strongly influenced by the season and the type of fishing gear used by the fisherman. The fishing area in Tungkal Ilir ranges from 1 mile to 30 miles

Abstract

Lamun merupakan tumbuhan air yang telah beradaptasi hidup terbenam di salinitas yang tinggi. Tumbuhan tersebut memiliki daun yang panjang dan berada di kolom air serta sistem perakaran yang menyilang menyebabkan tumbuhan mampu memerangkap partikel yang tersuspensi dan bahan organik di kolom air. Partikel tersuspensi yang berada di kolom air dapat menyebabkan perairan menjadi keruh dan dapat  mempengaruhi kehidupan biota di perairan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui partikel tersuspensi dan bahan organik yang terperangkap baik di daerah lamun maupun didaerah tidak ada lamun. Metode penelitian menggunakan sediment trap yang terbuat dari pipa paralon ukuran 5 inci, dipasang di lamun daerah serta daerah tidak ada lamun. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa partikel tersuspensi yang terperangkap tertinggi dalam sediment trap terdapat di daerah lamun berkisar 2,37-4,57 mg/cm2/hari dan 1,87-2,32 mg/cm2/hari, sementara di daerah tidak ada lamun berkisar 2,28-2,32 mg/cm2/hari dan 2,13-2,21 mg/cm2/hari. Nitrat dan ortofosfat yang terperangkap di daerah lamun berkisar 0,3-0,7 mg/kg dan 13,3-17,4 mg/kg sementara di daerah tidak ada lamun berkisar 0,3-0,4 mg/kg dan 12,4-13,6 mg/kg.

Abstract

Ikan Tongkol adalah salah satu ikan ekonomis penting yang tidak hanya disukai oleh masyarakat Indonesia, tetapi juga beberapa negara di Asia. Diperlukan proses pemasaran yang baik dalam menyalurkan barang dari produsen hingga ke konsumen. Panjang pendeknya saluran pemasaran berpengaruh terhadap harga dari barang pada konsumen terakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui saluran pemasaran, margin pemasaran serta efisiensi pemasaran pada tiap level lembaga pemasaran di TPI Ujungbatu Jepara. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi, sedangkan metode analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif, margin pemasaran dan efisiensi pemasaran. Distribusi pemasaran ikan Tongkol di TPI Ujungbatu dipengaruhi oleh harga, produk, tempat, dan promosi. Berdasarkan pengamatan diketahui bahwa lembaga yang berperan dalam distribusi pemasaran ikan Tongkol adalah nelayan, pedagang besar, pedagang pengecer serta konsumen dengan pola distribusi yang terdiri dari 2 rantai pemasaran dan kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah keuntungan dan margin pemasaran terbesar diperoleh pedagang besar. Lembaga pemasaran baik pedagang besar maupun pengecer memiliki pemasaran yang efisien.

Abstract

Black cumin (Nigella sativa) has been used as an immunostimulant in humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) was infected with Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN). The addition of 7,5% black cumin in fish feed showed to increase innate immune responsee of humpback grouper. However, then was unknown histopathology effect forward black cumin administration in fish. This research purpose was to know  profile of histopathological humpback grouper stimulated black cumin and infected VNN. Fish was organized in five tanks based on treatment i.e control, VNN infected fish, and VNN infected fish with additional 2,5 %, 5 %, and 7,5 % black cumin in fish feed. Then was five organs i.e brain, eyes, kidney, liver, and gills, that observed each fish sample. Result of this research showed that the addition of black cumin, was not affect histopathology profile in humpback grouper that infected with VNN.

Abstract

Kemampuan karang untuk tumbuh dan berkembang sangat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat sedimentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kondisi terumbu karang berdasarkan tingkat sedimentasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data kondisi terumbu karang menggunakan metode quadrat photo transect dan pengukuran laju sedimentasi di ekosistem terumbu karang dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat sediment trap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kondisi terumbu karang di perairan Teluk Kendari saat ini termasuk kategori buruk dengan persentase tutupan karang hidup pada tingkat sedimentasi tinggi sebesar 36,12, sedimentasi sedang sebesar 8,46 dan sedimentasi rendah sebesar 1,29. Kesimpulannya adalah kondisi terumbu karang di perairan Teluk Kendari saat ini termasuk kategori buruk.

Abstract

The content of organic matter can affect the growth of silk worms (Tubifex sp.). In addition, media porosity can also have an effect. This study aims to determine the effect of porosity on the cultivation of silk worm by using media of mud and sandy mud. The analysis used a complete randomized design method with three replications. The silk worm population in mud and sandy mud is 521 and 984, with ABW (Average Body Weight) growth of 0.3 mg and 0.1 mg. These results prove that porosity affects the population, whereas organic matter affects the weight of silk worms. So it can be concluded that the use of sandy mud media produces a higher population, but has lower ABW than the mud media.
