Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. Abstract

This research aims to determine the performance of agricultural extension worker in perfoming their main tasks and to know the factors that related with agricultural extension worker performance in implementing the main tasks on BP3K Banjar Baru Sub District.  This research is conducted by survey method in which location is selected purposively in Banjar Baru Sub District.  Respondents in this research are seven agricultural extension worker and 75 farmers.  The data is collected from January until February 2017 and analyzed by descriptive analysis and non-parametric statistics correlation Rank Spearman test for hypothesis verification.  The results of Hypothesis test showed that factors which related to agricultural extension worker’s performance were agricultural extension worker motivation level, income, and working facilities, whereas the factors that did not relate to performance of agricultural extension worker in implementing main tasks were total of their farmers target, reward system, and the distance of residence to the farmers target area (working area).  The result of this research showed that generally the performance of agricultural extension worker in implementing the main tasks of agricultural extension worker in BP3K Banjar Baru Sub District were in middle classification.Key words: agricultural extension worker, main tasks, performance

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the added value of the anchovy processing industry.  This research was conducted by cencus method in Pasaran Island, District of Teluk Betung Barat of Bandar Lampung City.  This location was selected purposively for it is the center of salted anchovy fish producers in Bandar Lampung.  All of the 38 active salted fish producers were recruieted as respondents.  The data were analyzed qualitatively and by Hayami method. The results showed that the average value obtained from the processing of a kilogram of wet fish being processed to be dried anchovies was the highest in the west wind season that was Rp7,253.02 with the ratio of added value to the value of the product was 29.73 percent. It meant that of every Rp100.00 of the product would be obtained added value of Rp29.73.  The average of added value in the normal monsoon was Rp4,808.72 with the ratio of added value to the product was 25.20 percent.  In the eastern monsoon, the average added value was Rp4,801.30 with the ratio of the added value to the product was 27.11 percent. Abstract

The research goals were to determine the factors that influence the decision of rice farmers in marketing their products, calculate the income of rice farmers in Sumberagung Village and Wargomulyo Village. This research was conductedin Sumberagung Village of Ambarawa Sub-districtand Wargomulyo Village of Pardasuka Sub-district of Pringsewu Regency. Factors that influence the decision of rice farmers in marketing their products were calculated by using ordinal logistic method, while the income was analyzed using R/C.  The results showed that Factors that influence the decision of farmers in marketing their products were the price level, the amount of  production, the number off amily members, the amount of family consumption, the farmer’s age, and rice cultivating experience, rice farming in Sumberagung Village was more profitable than that in Wargomulyo Village.  The average income of rice farming in Sumberagung Village was around Rp12,700,372.11/ha and R/C of 1.66 while the average income on total cost of rice farming in Wargomulyo Village was around Rp7,747,238.18/ha and R/C of 1.54.Key words: decision, marketing, income

Abstract

This research aims to analyze business activities and strategic development of Mitra Alam turkey farming Pringsewu Districtof Lampung Province. This research method is a case study, using descriptive data analysis by applying the formulation of economic evaluations which arerevenue, Break Even Point (BEP), R/C ratio and SWOT analysis. These results indicate that turkey farm of Mitra Alam is potential to be developed. The position of Mitra Alamturkey farm is in quadrant II which belongs to diversification area. Abstract

The purposes of this research were to analyze the household welfare level and household welfare distribution of salted anchovy fish processors.  This research was conducted by survey method in Pasaran Island Sub-District of Teluk Betung Barat of Bandar Lampung City.  This location was selected on purpose for it is the center of salted anchovy fish producer in Bandar Lampung.  All of the 38 active salted fish producers were recruited as respondents of this research.  The data analysis used in this research was descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis (statistics).  The household wealth distribution was calculated by the Gini index.  The results of this research showed that based on the indicator of BPS, the welfare of all households of salted anchovy fish producers were classified as the prosperous classes.  Likewise, based on the criteria of Sajogyo, all of them were classified as rich households. of the household expenditure approach, it showed that their value of Gini ratio based on Oshima criteria was 0.0948 for food expenditure, 0.1586 for non-food expenditure, and 0.1108 for total household expenditure.  While based on the World Bank criteria, 40 percent of food expenditure processing salted anchovy fish with the lowest expenditure amounted to 35.35 percent, non-food expenditures amounted to 31.73 percent, and household spending was 34.78 percent.  This suggests that low levels of inequality. Abstract

This research aims to analyze consumen’s behavior and strategies in the development of siger rice agroindustry. This research used a case study method.The samples are stakeholder on agroindustry and consumen of siger rice. Technique sampling for consumers is snowballing.  The method of data analyzes used descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this research showed that: The consumen’s satisfaction that seen from the repay of siger rice product and consumers have information and knowledge about the characteristics of siger rice, Combination value IFE was 0.19 and value of EFE was-0.05 in the IE matrix shows that the position the businessin quadran II. Its mean the agroindustry are in the a readiversification. The best priority strategies for developing the agroindustry are in creasing the capital of agroindustry from agroindustry fund and government institutions to fullfill the demand of siger rice.                                                                                                                        Key words: consumen, development strategy, siger rice, SWOT analysis

Abstract

This research aims to examine the performance of pineapple farming and the benefit of prima-3 certification and SLPHT in developing sustainable pineapple farming in terms of economic, social and environmental. This research compares the practice of pineapple farming management of certified, SLPHT and non-SLPHT farmer. The research location is in Astomulyo Village, Punggur Sub District, Central Lampung District. The sample in this research are 75 farmers that consist 15 certified farmers, 30 SLPHT farmers and 30 non-SLPHT farmers. The benefit of prima-3 certification and SLPHT in economic terms determined by farm income, meanwhile the pineapple quality assuredness, social and environmental terms analyzed using sustainability index. The different test of F test (One Way Anova) and Post Hoc Test LSD is used afterwards to analyze the assessment of pineapple farming. The results show that farm income of the first year to the third year sequentially for certified farmers are Rp57.450.792; Rp136.367.252 and Rp17.330.297, for SLPHT farmers are Rp54.169.465; Rp137.874.183 and Rp19.220.465, and non-SLPHT farmers are Rp55.326.879; Rp127.256.986 and Rp14.798.958. Prima-3 certification program and SLPHT in economic terms that is determined by farm income have not provided benefits, but the assesment result of pineapple farming management towards the increasing of the pineapple quality assuredness have provided benefits. As well as benefits in social and environmental terms showed that there’s significant difference of the practice of pineapple farming management between certified, SLPHT and non-SLPHT farmers. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the cassava farm income, determine the amount of household income of cassava farmers, determine the level of welfare of households by household expenditure cassava farmers. The study was conducted using a survey method in District Sukadana, East Lampung regency. The location was conducted in Sukadana District, and it was selected purposively. Respondents were 48 cassava farmers drawn using simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that average income of cassava farmers based on cash costs and total cost of Rp 21,931,956.9/year and USD 20,795,322,09/th per hectare. This Farming was beneficial because it gained acceptance ratio and the ratio obtained over and above the total cash cost (R/C ratio) of 4.71 and 3.95. Average household income of cassava farmers was Rp27,126,481.25 / years. Sajogyo criteria, there were 38 farm household were classified as peasants and 18 of them were classified as simple household.
