Abstract

The e-commerce industry in Indonesia, particularly in the health sector such as multivitamin, has experienced significant growth in recent years. E-commerce platforms like Shopee leverage consumer data to offer personalized product recommendations, including in the multivitamin category. While this personalization strategy can enhance the shopping experience, concerns regarding consumer privacy, especially for health-related products, pose a major challenge. This study aims to identify the factors influencing consumers' willingness to accept personalized communication on e-commerce platforms, focusing on five key variables: perceived benefits, perceived risks, trust, privacy policy transparency, and data usage context. The study employs multiple linear regression to analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of these variables on consumers' decisions to share personal data. The results indicate that the data usage context variable has a significant partial effect, while the other variables do not show significant individual effects. However, all five independent variables collectively have a significant impact on consumers' willingness to accept personalized communication. These findings provide valuable insights for e-commerce practitioners in designing effective personalization strategies, while ensuring consumer privacy is safeguarded. Furthermore, the study contributes to privacy protection policies, particularly in the e-commerce context, by emphasizing the importance of transparency and trust in maintaining a healthy relationship between platforms and consumers.

Abstract

The development of digital health technology, also known as healthtech, has transformed the opportunities and ways people access healthcare, particularly through telemedicine. In Indonesia, Halodoc has become one of the most widely used telemedicine platforms, offering easy access and affordable online healthcare services. Despite its various conveniences, user adoption remains inconsistent due to persistent issues and public perceptions regarding perceived risk and lack of trust in online consultation methods. This study aims to develop a model for Halodoc adoption by developing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) with perceived risk and trust in medical personnel. Using a quantitative approach, data responses were collected from online Halodoc users through purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques with the help of SmartPLS. The results show that only facilitating conditions, habit, and price value have a significant influence on behavioral intention to adopt Halodoc. Extensive factors suspected of influencing Halodoc adoption, namely perceived risk and trust in medical personnel, did not have a significant influence, especially in the Indonesian context. The results of this study add to the role and benefits of UTAUT2 in the healthcare context, especially in Indonesia, with managerial implications for enhancing the role of facilitating conditions, habits, and price value in order to increase the adoption of Halodoc and other digital healthcare in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study addresses the urgent need for timely and accurate information regarding manufacturing resources by developing a cost-effective, real-time Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system for 3-phase industrial machines, such as milling, turning, and grinding equipment. The primary objective is to enhance operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and support manufacturing digitalization. The methodology employed a mixed-methods approach and utilizes a hybrid microcontroller architecture, featuring low-cost SCT-013 current sensors and ZMPT-101B voltage sensors for data capture. An Arduino Mega performs high-speed data acquisition and complex measurement calculations, while an ESP32 module handles dedicated wireless communication and transmission. The system monitors crucial electrical parameters, including phase voltage, current, active and reactive power, and energy cost, while explicitly classifying the machine state (ON/OFF/STANDBY). A MySQL database ensures reliable data storage, and a Nextion display and web interface provide real-time visualization and user control. Rigorous quantitative testing validated the implementation: the fidelity of data transfer to the database was confirmed to be 100%. Sensor readings were successfully validated against a reference AC Clamp Meter. The system efficiently supports early anomaly detection using residual analysis. However, the end-to-end system latency was measured between 5 and 6 seconds consistently. This prototype delivers an effective and reliable solution for industrial online monitoring, providing a robust, data-driven foundation for future predictive maintenance and energy efficiency strategies

Abstract

Cyberbullying victimization is a form of technology-based harassment that has been increasing in line with the rising use of social media among adolescents. This phenomenon has implications for both physical and mental health and has the potential to encourage risky behaviors. This study aims to analyze the relationship between social media use, exposure to cyberbullying victimization, and its implications for adolescent health risk behaviors in Samarinda City. The research employed a cross-sectional design involving 393 high school students aged 16–18 years, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire covering social media use, experiences of harassment, bullying, intimidation, and health risk behaviors. The analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The findings revealed that 45% of adolescents had experienced cyberbullying, with verbal harassment, intimidation, and the spread of harmful content as the dominant forms. Furthermore, 35.2% of respondents were identified as engaging in risky behaviors, particularly social media addiction, substance abuse, and risky sexual behavior. The PLS-SEM model demonstrated that social media use was positively associated with harassment, bullying, intimidation, and cyberbullying victimization (p < 0.05). In addition, cyberbullying victimization, harassment, and intimidation significantly contributed to adolescent health risk behaviors, with an R² value of 0.62. Exposure to cyberbullying victimization was proven to have a significant impact on adolescent health risk behaviors. Promotive and preventive interventions involving families, schools, and health services are needed to strengthen adolescent resilience and to create a safe digital ecosystem in the technological era.

Abstract

Patient safety is a key indicator of healthcare quality, yet it remains a critical challenge in Indonesia, including in Samarinda. The high incidence of patient safety events highlights the urgent need for innovative interventions to enhance healthcare workers’ competence. Virtual Simulation Training and Artificial Intelligence (ViSTA) is considered a potential solution to address this issue. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of ViSTA in improving healthcare workers’ competence in managing patient safety incidents. A quasi-experimental design with a pre–post test and control group was employed, involving 40 healthcare workers in Samarinda. Respondents were divided into an intervention group (n=20), who participated in ViSTA training, and a control group (n=20), who received no intervention. Competence was measured before and after the intervention. Data analysis was performed using paired t-tests and independent t-tests. The intervention group demonstrated a significant improvement in competence scores after training (p<0.001), whereas the control group showed no meaningful change. Posttest comparisons between groups also revealed a significant difference (p<0.001), underscoring the effectiveness of ViSTA in enhancing healthcare workers’ skills in managing patient safety incidents. ViSTA proved to be effective in improving competence through interactive, realistic, and data-driven learning experiences. These findings support the integration of simulation technology and artificial intelligence as a sustainable training strategy, particularly in regions with limited access to face-to-face training. ViSTA holds strong potential to serve as a national training model for strengthening patient safety systems in Indonesia

Abstract

Vocational higher education often emphasizes technical competence (hard skills), whereas modern industrial dynamics demand mastery of human skills such as adaptive communication, empathy, and collaborative leadership. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) implementation in Compulsory Curriculum Courses (MKWK) as a strategy for developing human skills among Politeknik ATMI Surakarta students. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study involved students in mentoring cross-level social projects at five partner schools in Solo Raya, ranging from elementary to vocational high school levels. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, project portfolio documentation, and Focus Group Discussions. The results indicate that cross-level interaction encourages a significant transformation in students from being technical-minded to becoming more socially aware. Improvements in human skills are concretely visible in adaptive communication skills when teaching elementary students, leadership in managing junior high student group dynamics, and team collaboration in mural projects at vocational schools. This strategy proves effective in bridging the social skill gap of vocational students, preparing them to be graduates who are not only technically competent but also humanist, adaptive, and possess civic engagement.

Abstract

The rapid development of the manufacturing industry requires vocational graduates to possess high competence in technical drawing literacy according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). However, students often face cognitive barriers in visualizing 2D technical drawing representations into 3D forms, particularly in orthogonal projection and section view materials. This study aims to design and conduct initial testing of an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning medium developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The application is built on the Android platform using Unity 3D marker-based tracking method. This research produced a prototype application capable of projecting 3D models of machine components in real-time on top of printed technical drawing modules. Initial testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to validate system functionality. Test results indicate that key features such as marker detection, interactive object rotation, and visualization of hidden lines ran successfully under various lighting conditions. This application offers a potential solution to reduce students' cognitive load in understanding abstract spatial concepts.

Abstract

The paradigm shift in manufacturing towards Industry 4.0 requires the availability of vocational education infrastructure that is capable of representing actual production floor conditions. The material handling system is a vital component in the integration of the industrial supply chain, which involves precise synchronization between mechanical design and control systems. However, the educational tools currently available often fail to simulate the complexity of this integration due to designs that are too simple or not industry standard. This study aims to design and realize a mechanical system in a material handling system simulator by adopting the Learning Factory concept. The research was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE approach. The main focus of the research was the design of a modular mechanical structure using aluminum profiles, conveyor transmission mechanisms, and an integrated electro-pneumatic control system. The design results were validated through the realization of physical prototypes and functional testing. The research results show that the developed mechanical design has high rigidity and is capable of simulating the material transportation process with stability. The designed control system successfully integrated inductive and optical sensors and pneumatic actuators with 100% sorting logic accuracy. This simulator provides a realistic platform for students to learn about the interaction between mechanical and control components in a safe but authentic production environment.
