Abstract

Eksistensi manusia dapat dikatakan selalu terkait dengan berbagai fenomena dan norma-norma yang melingkupinya. Hal ini yang membuat manusia selalu mengolah kemampuan pikir dan batinnya untuk menemukan dimana eksistensinya berada. Artikel ini mencoba mengurai konsep hubungan manusia, alam dan Tuhan pada aliran kebatinan “Perjalanan” sebagai bentuk aktualisasi manusia dalam memaknai hidupnya, yang dalam hal ini tentu saja berhubungan erat dengan eksistensi manusia itu sendiri. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menunjukkan bahwa para penghayat yang tergabung dalam aliran kebatinan “Perjalanan” telah menyadari fungsi mereka sebagai manusia seutuhnya yang memiliki kewajiban untuk menata dunia dan seisinya

Abstract

This paper focuses on qualitatively interpretive studies of the North Coast Javanese people and their culture. The underlying assumption is that in many ways, the people and culture of north coast Java are different from those of Inland Java. The results of the study showed that: (a) the north coastal Javanese community, is more dominated by the Islamic way than the general pattern of inland Javanese; (b) The choice of employment is more about being a trader than being a government employee; (c) In the merchant community, the social interaction model tends to be straightforward, and the level of Javanese Language used tends to be rough.

Abstract

Globalization, one of which is characterized by advances in the field of communication and information technology, one side does provide many conveniences, but on the other hand there are negative impacts caused by this research aims to analyze the importance of Pancasila values as a paradigm for cultural development in the global era. This research is qualitative research in the field of philosophy. The method used in this study is synthesis analysis with methodical elements of interpretation. The formulation of the results in this study is that globalization is an era in which there is a process of internationalization, namely the unification of the world that produces a global culture called a culture without space boundaries. Therefore, in the development of culture in Indonesia, it must remain oriented towards the personality of the nation, which is based on Pancasila. Culture must be developed in accordance with human nature. Cultural development based on the values of Pancasila as a paradigm will form a society oriented towards the goal of uplifting human dignity and dignity. Pancasila as a cultural paradigm means Pancasila as a normative source for increasing humanization in the cultural field.

Abstract

This article tries to examine the fact that the biological determination between men and women contains the practice of disciplining the body that is formed due to social construction. Women's bodies tend to receive more control than men's because the image idealized of women. The body is then domesticated and gendered, and people lose their authority over their bodies. However, in everyday reality, there are some women voluntarily experience bodily discipline because they choose to live a celibate life. Thus, there is a friction between the femininity concept by societal standards and religious teachings, in this context is symbolized by the shaving of the head among female Buddhist monks. By shaving her head, instead of being considered less feminine, they look more divine. The case study of a female monk in the teachings of Tantrayana-Tibetan Buddhism also included to strengthen the analysis.

Abstract

The research titled “The Comparison of Setting, Ideology, and cover in the novel of Joni Garang Perang Dingin and Si Alui” intends to tell a different setting role from the two novels that caused the two of different ideology to occur. As well as the different of the books cover as a representative of a book content. From the structural between aspects involvement of the two novels, we can see there is cohesiveness between aspects in totality purpose building. However, the focus of structural analysis is the story setting study. Sociologically, both of the novels are very interesting because they are able to give different ideology. This is because the writer takes sides in choosing different points of view which often appears nowdays, for instance a modern ideology versus traditional ideology

Abstract

CNBC Indonesia revealed that until July 2020 there were 11 million Indonesian moviegoers who contributed approximately a total of 486 billion to the selling of the Avengers: End Game film tickets. The most recent Marvel Studios film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, starting from May 11 to 15, 2022 grossed 15.7 billion dollars in the Indonesian market. The euphoria of the Indonesian moviegoers about these two films continues in various expressions. It is reflected in many conversations on social media. The mass production of the MCU film merchandise also indicates the wave of euphoria. Film industry has long been closely correlated with the constructs of popular culture. Commercialism, the mass acceptance, and the euphoria throughout the film release reflect the manifestations of popular culture. This article discusses the indicators suggesting that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a product of popular culture in Indonesia. Among the existing indicators are its success in targeting the Indonesian moviegoers through the media, commercialism, and the presence of Indonesian public euphoria.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of consumption culture that is a reference among adolescent users of online shopping systems. The type of research method used is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The informants studied were teenagers who used online shopping applications. Data collection techniques with literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the data that have been obtained are then analyzed with postmodern social theory by Jean Baudrillard. This study shows that online shopping can form a consumptive culture among teenagers, referring to behavioral patterns in shopping that are continuously repeated until it becomes a habit in fulfilling needs and desires. There are two patterns of consumption culture that become a reference among teenagers who use the online shopping system, namely, first, the pattern of simulated consumption culture, which is where teenagers shop online to fulfill their needs and teenagers shop online because of advertisements, promos, and friends. Second, the pattern of hyperreality consumption culture is that teenagers shop online because of trends and lifestyles.

Abstract

Technological disruption is a necessity in all fields. With its massive development, technology has succeeded in reformulating the pattern of production, distribution, and consumption of a work of art, and music is no exception. This is what happened to Nasida Ria. Since their establishment in 1975, they have continued to create works without stopping with various adaptations according to the technology of the era. The use of new media such as the internet, social media, and digital music services is really useful to continue to make Nasida Ria relevant in the current era. This study takes the object of Nasida Ria and their adaptation to technological disruption. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The research data was obtained by studying literature and documents. The documents we examined were various forms of Nasida Ria's digital releases, especially those on the Spotify platform. The analytical method used in this study is to examine the extent to which Nasida Ria adapts in the era of technological disruption to the theory of Media Archeology. The result of her research is that it is proven that Nasida Ria can adapt to technological disruptions that occur in the Indonesian music world.

Abstract

ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran khusus mengenai pola pengasuhan anak dengan gaya otoritatif dari video blog sehari-hari (daily vlog) yang ada pada kanal YouTube ‘Kimono Mom’. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dan observasi konten pada naratif dari vlog yang dipublikasikan pada kategori ‘Kid’s Life in Japan’. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini adalah Moe mampu memberikan contoh pengasuhan anak yang baik terhadap penonton kanal ‘Kimono Mom’ nya. Pola pengasuhan sehari-hari yang dijalankan Moe termasuk dalam kategori pola pengasuhan otoritatif yang berusaha membangun hubungan hangat, demokratif, namun tetap menitikberatkan peran orangtua dalam mengarahkan anaknya. Adapun hal-hal yang dapat dipelajari dari pola pengasuhan Moe kepada Sutan adalah; 1) Melibatkan anak dalam berbagai eksperimen, 2) Sabar dalam memberitahukan yang benar dan mengoreksi yang keliru. 3) Mengajarkan tradisi dan nilai-nilai ketuhanan. 4) Demokratis dan tidak memaksakan kehendak, dan 5) Memberikan pujian dan mengevaluasi Sutan.

Abstract

Semarang, the capital city of Central Java Province, has its own traditional style of wedding ceremony, the so called Pengantin Semarang or Pengantin Semarangan. Literally meaning Semarang wedding ceremony, Pengantin Semarangan is a combination of four traditional wedding styles, i.e. those of Javanese, Malay, Chinese, and Arabic, and thus symbolizes peace, unity, tolerance, and harmony among these majority ethnic groups living side by side in Semarang for thousands of years. Unfortunately, this valuable wedding ceremony is continously diminishing, as the people of Semarang themselves belittle their ancestor tradition. Unless a serious effort is made to preserve the tradition, the grandeur of Pengantin Semarangan may one day become a mere story
