Abstract

Cervical cancer is a process of changing into malignancy in the cervix. Based on studies and previous research, cervical cancer is the third female cancer in terms of incidence (527,600 new cases) and mortality (265,700 deaths) in the world. Cervical cancer has histotopathological types in the form of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and other types. This study aimed to analyze the relationship of risk factors with histopathological types in cervical cancer patients in Dr. Soetomo Hospital. Method: This analytical descriptive study used a cross sectional research design. The number of samples were 300 patients collected by total sampling. Independent variables were risk factors including age, marital age, parity, smoking, oral contraceptives, and education while dependent variables were histopathological types including squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and other types. Instruments used documentation. Data analysis used chi square, fisher and contingency coefficient tests. Results: There was a relationship of cervical cancer risk factors of age to histopathological type (p= 0.000 and contingency coefficient = 0.170) and no relationship of risk factors to number of parity (p= 0.321 and contingency coefficient = 1000 0.064 ), marriage age (p = 0.720 and contingency cofience = 0.038), smoking (p = 0.711 and contingency cofience = 0.036), oral contraceptive (p = 0.655 and contingency comfience = 0.042), education (p = 0.744 and contingency co-efficiency = 0.089) to histopathological type. Conclusion: There is a relationship between risk factors and histopathological types in cervical cancer patients at Oncology Polyclinic at Dr Soetomo Hospital of Surabaya.

Abstract

Background: The first six months after birth are part of the first 1000 days, a golden period for child development. In this period, the child needed proper nutrition to support optimal development and as nutrition programming. WHO recommends exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) for the first 6th-month. Adequacy of nutrition and optimal growth can be assessed using the nutritional status. Aim: This study analyzes the relationship between EBF for the first 6 months with the nutritional status of a full-term infant aged 0-6 months. The nutritional status assessed using anthropometric measurements and child growth standards. Methods: This type of literature review research uses the PRISMA, PICO, and Boolean Operator methods. The research question with PICO standard "What is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding practice and nutritional status of children aged 0-6 months?". Relevant literature was obtained from 8 databases: Scopus, Portal Garuda, Proquest, Mendeley, Pubmed, Oxford, Science Direct, and Sage. Literature was limited to the last 10 years. There are 6 relevant pieces of literature included for review. The literature quality assessment uses a quantitative study quality assessment tool released by the EPHPP (Effective Public Health Practice Project) and produces 5 pieces of literature worthy of review. Results: From 5 kinds of literature, there were various indicators of nutritional status such as weight-for-age (WAZ), length-for-age (LAZ), weight-for-length (WLZ), Body Mass Index (BMI)-for-age, and head circumference (HC)-for-age. The results were dominated by insignificant results, except the HC-for-age indicator stated that there were significant results. The author explores the causes of insignificant results. Explores based on the indicators that include in studies, the information based on studies, and the possible consequences that adjusted to the data based on the studies. The Author found that the mother plays an important role in the production and provision of breast milk. The quality of breastmilk depends on the mother, also how she gives it to their infant. It has to be based on the WHO recommendation. Conclusion: The result of these studies affirms that EBF didn't significantly affect the indicators of WAZ, LAZ, WLZ, and BMI-for-age, but significantly affected the head circumference-for-age indicator.

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that babies remain given exclusive breast milk for the first six months of a baby's life. However, there were some obstacles that cause the mother to be unable to give exclusive breast milk to her baby. By the time the baby becoming 4 to 6 months, the opportunity to provided exclusive breast milk is reduced because of many factor such as working mother can be an obstacle to providing exclusive breast milk. Often for mothers prefer to provide formula milk or complementary food for their babies to make it simply. This literature review aims to determine the differences in nutritional status of infants who were exclusively breastfed and those who were not exclusively breastfed at the age of 4 to 6 months. This literature review is semi-quantitative using the narrative review method. The search for articles accessed from the PubMed, Google Scholar, and Science Direct database found 40 articles that met the criteria. There were differences in the nutritional status of infants who were exclusively breastfed and those who were given non-exclusive breastfeeding. Babies who were exclusively breastfed at the age of 4 to 6 months had a better nutritional status than babies who were given nonexclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

in Indonesia, breast cancer is the second leading cause of death for women after cervical cancer. Based on data from the Cirebon City Health Office in 2015, the number of maternal deaths was 4/5400 live births, the number of infant deaths was 25/5455 live births, and the number of under-five deaths was 8/5378 live births. Aspects of maternal and child health can be seen from several indicators of achievement, one of which is Infant Immunization. In 2015, of 22 urban villages in the city of Cirebon, there was only one village that had not reached the target, namely in the Argasunya village. Meanwhile, the coverage of deliveries by health workers in Argasunya was 52.64% and the highest delivery assistance by traditional birth attendants in the city of cirebon was in Argasunya Village at 4.63%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between characteristics and perceptions of pregnant women on the MCH Handbook. This study used a cross sectional design. The population of all pregnant women in Benda Kerep Sub-Village, Argasunya Village, Cirebon City. Sampling used total sampling. The data taken were primary data obtained through questionnaires given to 23 pregnant women. The correlation test used Chi-Square. The results of the study showed that the majority of pregnant women had a bad perception of the MCH handbook (69.56%), were aged 20-35 (87%), graduated from elementary school (78%), were with 14-27 weeks in gestation (48%), and had a plan to deliver at home (73.92%). Based on occupation, all pregnant women did not work (100%). There was no relationship between age and perception of the MCH handbook, between education and perception of the MCH handbook, between occupation and perception of the MCH handbook, and between planned place of delivery and perception of the MCH handbook.

Abstract

Childbirth is a physiological process and an important event in life that is often remembered by a woman throughout her life, where birth trauma most often occurs is the perineum. A perineal tear is a perineal laceration that occurs when the baby is born either naturally or through an episiotomy. This study aims to determine the relationship between the baby's birth weight and the level of perineal tear in mothers with normal delivery. The research method is quantitative with a cross-sectional analytical research design. The sample is 298 people. Data were collected by looking at the maternity room register book from January-December 2021. Data were analyzed with the help of Software Statistics Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) Version 25. Research Results: from 298 deliveries there were 256 respondents who experienced perineal tears. 97 respondents to a grade 1 tear (32.6%), 156 respondents to a grade 2 tear (52.3%) and 3 respondents to a grade 3 tear (1%). Of the 298 mothers who gave birth, there were 256 deliveries with perineal tears with 206 (85.5%) baby weight <3365gr and 50 (87.7%) baby weight >3366 grams. Meanwhile, for mothers who experienced an intact perineum, there were 42 respondents where the baby's weight < 3365 g was found as many as 35 respondents (14.5%) and the baby's weight > 3366 there were 7 respondents (12.3%). The results of the chi-square test at = 0.05 obtained p = 0.821 (P> 0.05) this means that there is no relationship between the baby's birth weight and the incidence of perineal tears. Conclusion: there is no relationship between baby's birth weight and the incidence of perineal tears.

Abstract

High risk pregnancy is one of the contributors to AKI. This is due to a lack of knowledge about high-risk pregnancies. Efforts to provide information through health education with more innovative methods such as snow balling are expected to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about high-risk pregnancies. Lack of knowledge of pregnant women increases MMR due to high risk pregnancies. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on the snow balling method on the knowledge of pregnant women about high-risk pregnancies. The research design used quantitative research with quasi-experimental methods, pretest and posttest designs with a control group. The sample in this study used a total sampling technique of 32 respondents. Data collection was done by dividing the respondents into 2 groups, namely the treatment group (snow balling) and the control group (lecture). The results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test obtained a value of = 0.139 (ρ> 0.05), which means that there is no effect of health education on the snow balling method on the knowledge of pregnant women about high-risk pregnancies. Based on the research results, the provision of health education can be carried out in various methods, both using the snow balling method and the lecture method which can increase the knowledge of pregnant women about high-risk pregnancies

Abstract

During breastfeeding the mother's reason for not breastfeeding her baby's nipples are difficult to breastfeed because of the anatomical condition of the nipple due to the wrong way of breastfeeding or improper care of the breast. This reason can cause mothers to stress so that the hormone oxytocin does not work and breast milk stored in the breasts causes mothers to switch to using formula milk. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the application of exclusive breastfeeding in mothers with inverted nipples in Kudaile Village, Tegal Regency. The specific target in this study is that factors are found that influence the application of exclusive breastfeeding so that it can contribute to increasing the scope of exclusive breastfeeding in Kudaile Village. This research uses qualitative methods with an observational design. Data collection was carried out using indeepth interview techniques in accordance with interview and observation guidelines. The results of the interview were recorded and field notes were made. To avoid subjectivity, researchers use the source triangulation technique which is to collect data from different sources (informant families) by the same method (in-depth interviews)
