Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the fundamental factors represented by financial ratios, i.e., Return on Assets (ROA) which represents the profitability ratio; Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) which represents the solvency ratio; Current Ratio (CR) which represents the liquidity ratio; and Total Asset Turn Over (TATO) which represents the activity ratio, in its effect on stock returns and their impact on the frequency of stock trading. The research data was taken from the companies of the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2017. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. Of the total population of 41 companies, 21 companies were used as research sample. The analytical method used was panel data analysis run by Eviews 9. The results showed that ROA affects stock returns, while DER, CR, and TATO do not affect stock returns. ROA, DER, CR, and TATO simultaneously affect the frequency of stock trading. However, only TATO has a partial effect on the frequency of stock trading, while stock returns do not affect the frequency of stock trading.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of human capital and asset structure on credit risk and financial performance and the influence of credit risk on financial performance of conventional banks in Indonesia. This is an explanatory research with the sample consisted of 25 conventional banks in Indonesia during the period of 2013 to 2017. Data were analyzed using PLS. The results showed that: (a) human capital has no significant influence on credit risk of the conventional banks in Indonesia; (b) human capital has no significant influence on the financial performance of conventional banks in Indonesia, (c) credit risk has significant influence on the financial performance of conventional banks in Indonesia, (d) asset structure has significant influence on the credit risk of conventional banks in Indonesia, and (e) asset structure has no significant influence on the financial performance of conventional banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on performance through competitive advantage in the Cooperatives in West Java Province. The sample consisted of 370 active cooperatives in the regencies and cities in West Java Province, which was collected by applying a purposive cluster proportional sampling technique. Research data were analyzed using SEM. The results showed that organizational culture influenced performance through cooperative’s competitive advantage. This finding implied that a strong organizational culture will create a better competitive advantage that will finally give a positive effect on the improved performance of cooperatives in West Java Province. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and interpret the effect of perceived quality and perceived value on consumer satisfaction and loyalty. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique with the sample consisting of 67 debtors of motorbike ownership credit at the Central Santosa Finance Surabaya. The research data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results showed that perceived quality had a significant positive effect on loyalty through satisfaction, and perceived value had a significant positive effect on loyalty, both directly and indirectly through satisfaction. However, perceived quality did not have a direct effect on loyalty. These results implied that the company should continuously improve its service quality to maintain customer trust, satisfaction, and loyalty. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of company activity that projected in four variables, i.e., Total Asset Turn Over (TATO), Inventory Turn Over (ITO), Fixed Asset Turn Over (FATO), and Working Capital Turn Over (WCTO) on profitability (Return on Asset/ROA) and investment opportunity in the public companies in Indonesia incorporated in the consumer goods industry sector during the period of 2013-2015. The research data were sourced from the company financial reports taken from 37 companies as the research sample that consist of the following industry sub-sectors: food and beverage (17 issuers), cigarettes/tobacco (4 issuers), pharmaceuticals (9 issuers), cosmetics and household needs (4 issuers), and household appliances (3 issuers). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and path analysis. The results showed that simultaneously company activity has a significant effect on ROA and ROA significantly mediates the effect of TATO on investment opportunity. However, ITO, FATO, and WCTO have no significant effects on ROA or investment opportunity.

Abstract

A company’s objective to create employee engagement is to maintain the loyalty of its human resources. Employee engagement is directly related to the allocation of employee’s role and time inside and outside of their work environment as part of the work-life balance dimension. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of employee engagement on the employee’s work-life balance in the Bank X. The sample consisted of 39 employees collected by applying census sampling. Data were analyzed using PLS. The results indicated that employee engagement had a significant effect on employee work-life balance in the Bank X. This finding implies that employee’s work-life balance could be weakened or strengthen depends on the level of their engagement towards the company or organization. Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of service quality dimensions which consist of tangibles; reliability; responsiveness; assurance; and empathy on customer delight through customer satisfaction. The research sample was the students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Study Program of Management, University of Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya batch of 2016/2017 that consisted of 90 respondents. The data analysis technique used was path analysis. The results showed that the dimensions of service quality, i.e., tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy affect customer delight as mediated by customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors forming consumers' perceptions in using the Go-food platform at Go-jek application by adopting an IRSQ measurement scale. This study examined 20 attributes of IRSQ that were analyzed using EFA. The population of this study was the citizens of Jember who have used the Go-food platform at Go-jek application. The sample consisted of 140 respondents collected by employing a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that there were 5 factors forming consumers' perceptions of using the Go-Food platform. The most dominant factor was services performance consisting of the attributes of easy-to-understand online order, fast order confirmation messages, fast loading time, error-free order processing, fast order delivery, and order return policies. The second factor was ease of access consisting of the attributes of various products offering by Go-jek’s partners, promotional products offer, recommendations for the unique products, and various payment methods. The third factor was interaction consisting of the attributes of online chatrooms, product images, and communication interactions. The fourth factor was information that consists of the attributes of product availability information and accuracy of the information, while the fifth factor was security that consists of the attributes of personal information and secure account information.
