Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Population of the research is all customers of conventional banks in Situbondo. Purposive sampling method was used with the sample consisted of 115 respondents. Results of path analysis test showed that physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and customer satisfaction had significant effect on customer loyalty. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the effect of organizational commitment on employee performance based on individual characteristics, which include gender, age, marital status, and work experience. Population of the research is all employees of production division. All empoyees are used as the respondents. Results show that organizational commitment influences employee performance. Individual characteristic causes the differences in employee performance is marital status, while gender, age, and work experience do not cause differences in organizational commitment. Abstract

Abstract: Gakin Bank is a microfinance institution (MFI) aims to reduce the poverty rate in Jember. The limited employment opportunities had forced the poor people to build their own informal business. However, the difficulty in gaining the capital loan and the high level of interest rate offered by formal banks were the major obstacles for the poor to develop their business. Gakin Bank was built responding to such condition. This research aims to analyze performance and capacity building of Gakin Bank. The analytical methods used are descriptive analysis approach and SWOT analysis. The data used are primary data from the interviews and secondary data obtained from various sources. Results show that MFI has an important role as the micro financial institution in lending funds to the poor people and also for the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Abstract

Abstract: Roti Ceria is sweet bakery products sold in Jember. In developing the business, the company will expand the sales area in each sub district. The company chooses the low end segment, which is considered to be at low cost, and determines product positioning only in the sweet bread market. Management has conducted the marketing mix strategy. But, the effectiveness is still being argued, especially regarding the problems of the expansion of sales area. Thus, the scientifically conducted study is needed to measure the marketing mix and its influence on the decision, statisfaction, and the loyalty of customers. Results of the study showed that the overall hypothesis were acceptable and there were significant influences of the product, distribution, and promotion on consumers’ decison; there were significant influences of product and price on consumers’ satisfaction; there were significant influences of consumers’ decision on consumers’ satisfaction and loyalty, and there was a significant influence of consumers’ satisfaction on consumers’ loyalty. Abstract

Abstract:The purposes of this research are to analyze: (a) the effect of financial leverage that measured as debt to assets, long-term debt to equity, and debt to equity on earnings (Return on Equity); (b) the effect of financial leverage that proxied by debt to assets, long-term debt to equity, and debt to equity on earnings (Earning per Share or EPS); and (c) the dominant effect of financial leverage on ROE and EPS in the telecommunications sector companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research examines 5 companies. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis.Results show that financial leverage affects profitability (both ROE and EPS). Results also show that debt to assets ratio is the dominant variable affecting ROE and EPS. Keywords: Financial Leverage, ROE, and EPS

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to test the effect of event marketing, Visit Jember Month 2012 (Bulan Berkunjung ke Jember 2012 or BBJ 2012),on brand awareness of Jember Regency. The population in this study was the society who saw the BBJ 2012. Snowball sampling was used which resulted in a total of 70 respondents. Multiple linear regressionwas used to test the hypothesis. Results showed that sport and exhibition event marketing did not have a significant effect on the brand awareness of Jember Regency, while art and culture even marketing had a positive and significant effect on the brand awareness of Jember Regency. Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research were to analyze: (1) the market segmentation of Mild cigarette based on its attributes; (2) the kind of Mild cigarette product for every segment; (3) the kind of Mild cigarette that preferred by the most consumers; (4) the kind of attributes as the market differentiation of Mild cigarettes. This study analyzed 105 respondents of Mild cigarette consumers. Data were analyzed using statistical cluster and discriminant analysis. Results showed that: (1) the Mild cigarette’s consumers were divided into two segments, the first (the less selective) was consumers who did not consider the product’s attributes and the second (the selective ones) was consumers who considered the product’s attribute; (2) LA Mild, GG Mild, and A Mild had a similar position in consumers’ mind;(3) LA Mild could be accepted at every segment; (4) the product attributes differentiating the cigarette segments in Jember were brands, packaging, price, taste, tar and nicotine, and aroma. Price was the most important attribute among the Mild cigarette consumer segments in Jember. Keywords: Brand, Packaging, Price, Taste, Aroma, Tar and Nicotine.

Abstract

Abstract: One of the information that commonly used by investors in evaluating bank shares is the ratio of Price to Book Value (PBV). In addition to PBV, the ratio of Earning Per Share (EPS) is also considered as another important factor. This study examines the factors that affect EPS and PBV. These include Return on Equity (ROE), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), and Operational Cost and Operational Income (BOPO). A total of 26 banks in Indonesia is used as the sample from2009 to 2011. Data were analyzed using Path Analysis. The results show that NPL affects EPS, while EPS and BOPO affect PBV. Abstract

This study examines the influence of augmented products at the time of purchase and after the purchase on purchase decision, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. This research used path analysis method. Results of this study showed that augmented products at the time of purchase and after the purchase hadsignificant influence on the purchase decision through the intervening variables of satisfaction.
