Journal of Spirits is a scientific journal run by Faculty of Psychology Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. The Spirits journal aims to create a space for exchange of information on psychology. The Spirits journal aims to support the growth of new ideas and ideas about psychological knowledge in both contemporary psychology and selfbased psychology. Spirits journal is also expected to be a space for the development of Ki Hajar Dewantara ideas on psychology in Indonesia. Spirits Journal has a focus of study results with qualitative, quantitative and mix methods on the field of psychology.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research was to predict the contribution of spiritual and emotional intelligence towards the purpose in life of OSF retired nuns. The participants were 39 nuns. This correlation study used purpose in life scale, spiritual intelligence scale, and emotional intelligence scale to collect data. The data was analyzed with partial correlation and linier multiple regression. Spiritual and emotional intelligence was positively related to the purpose in life ( r = 0,406 ; p <0,05).  The contribution of spiritual and emotional intelligence was 16,4%. It means that other variables such as sex, knowledge, motivation, age, family environment, and other environment contributing 83,6%. The researcher concluded that: First, the purpose in life of retired nuns can be predicted by spiritual and emotional intelligence; Second, spiritual intelligence supports the purpose in life of retired nuns; Third, emotional intelligence supports the purpose in life of retired nuns. Keywords: spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence, purpose in life

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the interest and motivation of choosing senior high schools. Subjects in this study were students in 1 Krayan East Kalimantan, with the purposive sampling technique. The method of analysis used in this study is Product Moment .Motivation variable data analysis choosing a school with a variable interest in showing the value of r =0.475 with a significance level of p =0.000. There is a significant positive relationship between interest and motivation in students choosing school SMP Negeri 1 Krayan. The determinant coefficient of 0.225, meaning interest variable contribute effectively in motivating choose schools as 22.5 %, while the remaining 77.5 % is influenced by other factors such as the intrinsic factor consisting of passion and desire to succeed, hopes and ideals of extrinsic factors that consists of awards in learning, conducive learning environment and engaging learning activities .Keywords: Interests, Motivation Choosing Schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aimed to determine the relation of job rotation with work motivation in POLRES Sleman. This research is conducted in quantitative approach, using two and Subjects in this study were staff of Turjawali POLRES Sleman. Data was collected with tour of duty scale and job motivation scale.  Data was analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Packages for Social Science) for windows release version 17.0.The result showed a positive significant relationship between tour of duty with job motivation in the case of staff Turjawali POLRES Sleman. The coefficient of determination () is 0,889 or 88,9%, this means job rotation can predict job motivation variable (Y) of 88,9% and the rest remaining 11,1% can be explained or predicted by other factors. So, the higher job rotation it would be impact to the higher work motivation to the worker, otherwise the lower of job rotation then the lower of work motivation staff.Keyword: Job rotation, work motivation

Abstract

ABSTRACT            The purpose of this study is finding the relationship between self-control with teen cybersex behaviors on the user's internet cafe. The hypothesis of is there is a negative relationship between self-control with teen cybersex behaviors on the user's internet cafe.            The subjects were users of internet cafes (cafe) in Glagah Sari Yogyakarta, aged 12-23 years, male sex and women, as well as the use of internet services in internet cafes (cafe), amounting to 80 people. Measuring instruments used are teen cybersex behavior scale and the scale of self-control. Analysis of data using techniques Karl Pearson Product Moment Correlation with the help of the statistical program SPSS version 20 for Mac.            Based on the correlation of test results obtained by the correlation between the maturity value and the emotional tendencies cybersex behavior of - .229 with p = 0.005 (p<0.05). This suggests that the hypothesis that there is a negative relationship between self-control teen cybersex behavior is acceptable. This means that the higher the self-control the behavior of the lower cybersex. Conversely the lower the higher the self-control teen cybersex behavior.Key words: Cybersex, self-control, internet users

Abstract

ABSTRACT When employees work, there must be expected by employees. That expectation is the fulfillment of job satisfaction. By the fulfilled of job satisfaction, employees will emerge organizational citizenship behavior. The companies in the beginning need to fulfill employees job satisfaction. But if the job satisfaction of employees is fulfilled, then the companies also feel its benefit, because employees will show organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, this study will test the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior on employees.Data collection was conducted at PT. Bali Tourism Development, PO Box 3, 80363 Nusa Dua, Bali in June 2011. The subjects of this study are 50 employees. The reliability score of Job Satisfaction Scale is 0,906 and the reliability score of Organizational Citizenship Behavior scale is 0,965. The normality score of job satisfaction variable is 0.867 and the normality score of Organizational Citizenship Behavior is 0.245. Job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavioral is linear because its probability score is 0.052. From correlation score is 0,287 and probability score is 0.043, it indicates that there is a relationship between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. The coefficient of determination is 0.08.From the result of this study is expected to contribute to the sciences such as Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management and Industrial Relation and also practically to the sustainability of the company as an employer and employee as workers. Keywords: job satisfaction, organizational citizenship behavior, employees

Abstract

Abstract This Research target is to know the relations between self confidence  with self  image by adolescence. Subject research is active student of Psychology Faculty Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University of Yogyakarta beetwen 18-22 years old amounting to 90 people. Research method use the technique of Purposive Sampling.Data intake use the Scale self confidance and self image from Suryani(2009). Scale self confidance consisted of by 60 item and Self image consisted of by 56 item.Result of this research show the existence of correlation coefficient of equal to 0,236 with the level significant 0,025 (p<0,05). Its meaning is hypothesis expressing there is positive relation self confidance by self image. Effectiveness regress in research of equal to 5,6% its meaning self confidance of equal to 5,6% determined by Self image and 94,4% influenced by other factors. Keyword : Self confidence, Self image, Adolescence
