Abstract

Background: Low back pain, pain that is felt in the affected anatomical area with a variety of long occurrence of pain. This pain feels lumbar or lumbo-sacral. Tea pickers are at risk of low back pain due to their activities such as the position of bending, lifting and carrying heavy loads. This research aim to factors that risk against the incident of low back pain.Method: Total sample of 132 respondents: 66 cases and 66 controls were selected randomly from the tea pickers workers. Data analysis using Chi Square and logistic regression to know the mostdominant factor.Results: There was relationship of employment, back posture, heavy weights with low back pain (P <0.05). There was not relationship age, sex, smoking, body mass index and physical activity with low back pain (p>0.05). Multivariate analysis using logistic regression showed the most dominant working period affecting low back pain. The study found that low back pain was a relevant health problem among tea picker workers. The policy of arranging breaks and lifting techniques is required to prevent low back pain.Keywords: Low back pain, risk factors, the tea pickers

Abstract

Background: Organochlorine pesticides were widely used in agricultural at the past, these compounds are persistent in the environment and can be bioaccumulate and biomagnificate in food chain. Prenatal organochlorine exposure may lead to premature birth, spontaneous abortion and infere central nervous system function. Women living in agriculture area pose high risk of pesticides exposure resulting from their agriculture occupation and environment exposure. Breast milk could be a suitable matrix for monitoring organochlorine exposure in human. This study aimed to assess the content of organochlorine pesticides in human breast milk, women involvement in agricultural activity and factors related to the level of organochlorine compounds in breast milk.Method: The qualitative descriptive method using cross sectional approach was applied in this research. There were 14 partisipants.Results: The result demonstrated that 4 partisipans had p’pDDE level above 0,01 mg/kg (0,018-1,082), and 11 partisipans had level of Dieldrin below 0,01 mg/kg (0,001-0,007). Concentration p’pDDE tend to decreased as the increased of parity, level of knowledge, and level practices of pesticide. Dietary habits especially fish consumption was considered as a source of organochlorine exposure to human. Supervision policy the used of pesticide hasn’t effective yet to increase safe practices of pesticides among farmers.Keywords : Organochlorine, breast milk, safe practices of pesticides

Abstract

Background: MMR in Indonesia continues to increase, IDHS 2007 shows MMR of 228 per 100,000 in 2012 to 359 per 100,000 live births. One factor is still high maternal mortality rate due to relatively low relief by the health provider only by 55.4%. The aim of research to describe people's confidence in birth attendants in the region of North Halmahera.Method: This type of research is qualitative. Data were collected using FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Research subjects were 26 informants consisted of 7 mothers who gave birth with the help of TBAs, 2 husbands, 3 parents, 4 community leaders, 6 TBAs and 4 midwives chosen by the inclusion criteria. Analysis of data using content analysis.Results: The results showed that the informant preferring TBAs as birth attendants because informants believe TBAs are more experienced in attending births, TBAs are also considered more attention and patience in serving patients. Selection of TBAs as birth attendants associated with the services provided and the trust of society itself.Keywords: Delivery Helper, Confidence, TBAs.

Abstract

Background: In Pati District KTD cases in adolescents aged <17 years as much as 43.8%, which affectsthe marriage at an early age is increasing. This research aims to describe the response of parents and teens junior who experience unwanted pregnancy, and the effects of marriage at an early age.Method: This research method was qualitative case study design. With a purposive sampling and data collection using in-depth interviews. The main informants were adolescent who experienced unwanted pregnancy 5 people. Informants triangulation parents 5 people.Results: The results showed the phenomenon of early marriage makes parents and teens are not afraid of an unwanted pregnancy, as a result people who previously regarded premarital sex behavior that violates norms, are now more likely to be accepted by society. Parents and teenagers who live rural areas provide a response to resolve the problem by marrying unwanted pregnancy informant. While living urban areas, asking informants to have an abortion, but after failing informant eventually wed. Marriage was a solution unwanted pregnancy experienced by adolescents because of the permissive society towards marriage early age and culture in the community who think if the domestic sector only female duties, so that the nature of women is to be a housewife. Suggested provide information to adolescents and parents about the effects of early marriage. The government particularly Health Provider can further provide youthfriendly health services since the junior level.Keywords: unwanted pregnancy, early marriage, adolescents of junior high school

Abstract

Background: Along with the times, the population at high risk of sexually transmitted infections increase rapidly. From a preliminary study in the district Wanasari Brebes revealed that their knowledge about sexual behavior said to be low risk and lots of sexual risk behavior without condom.Method: This research is descriptive quantitative analytical with cross-sectional design study, methods for collecting the data by distributing questionnaires to find a picture on the risky sexual behaviors of respondent. The sample in this research is 120 people.Results: 86,7% respondent has risky sexual behavior. 70,8% of respondent is above 32 years old with low education as much as 57,5% and not marriage yet 52,5%. 61,7% of respondent has risky behavior in their leisure time. Variables that significantly relationship against sexual behavior are ages and leisure activity.based on multivariate analisys, variables that strongly connected to sexual behavior is ages, leisure activity, and religiousity. Advice given to Departemen Kesehatan Brebes for further enhance the knowledge of onion traders in terms of risky sexual behavior, include facilitating spare time with things that are more useful to avoid risky sexual behavior.Keyword : Behavior, sexual risk, Brebes

Abstract

Background: Partographs an observation management guidelines and normal deliveries which will facilitate birth attendants in detecting emergency cases in the mother and fetus. Partographs plays an important role in determining the diagnosis of labor.Method: This type of research is observational cross-sectional design. Data obtained from the source using observation sheets and questionnaires. The location of this study Midwifery Academy campus located in East Jakarta. Subjects were all students who have already studied partograf and aid delivery practices, the number of samples 201 student midwives based on inclusion criteria. Analysis of the results using the chi square test and multiple logistic regression.Results: The results showed good skills partograf use (56.7%), most of the students age ≥ 20 years (58.7%), high student motivation (57.7%), students' perceptions of the learning process both (52.2%) , students' perceptions of good pendidian facilities (52.75). The relationship between student motivation (p = 0.005) with the charging partograf skills and no correlation between age, the perception of the learning process and perceptions of educational facilities with charging partograf skills. Results of regression test showed the influence of motivation by charging partograf (p value = 0.004, ß exp 2,350). Recommendations from this study for all student midwives who practice in the delivery room must use partoraf in every delivery assistance. For midwifery institutions to enhance cooperation with land CI practice in providing guidance and monitoring the delivery report students.Keywords: Skills filling partograf, motivation, learning, education facilities.

Abstract

Background: In Jambi City, the cases of HIV-positive in MSM increased in the people aged 19-24 years old by 35.1%. It affected on the prevention of HIV transmission. The research was conducted in 2016 and aimed to understand the response of teenage MSM with the status of HIV-positive to the prevention of transmission to the partner.Method: The research method was qualitative with the design of case study. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with the data collection using in-depth interview. The main informants were teenage MSM with HIV-positive of 7 persons. The triangulation informants were the chief of Kanti Sehati Foundation, the chief of the Community Group of Field Outreach in Jambi City.Results: The resarch results show that the response when they initially found themselves infected by HIV-positive was a rejection to their status of HIV-positive. Their responses were shocked, surprised, and confused. They expressed their emotion in the form of stress and depression. Status revealation to their partners and closest ones had not been performed fully since they were worried about the rejection from their partners. The response to ARV obedience has been good, but the response to HIV prevention using condoms had not been consistent partially because they were mostly under the effect of alcohol. Then, the response to post-HIV behavior, in few people, showed their inability to prevent the transmission based on the standard. Most of them still experienced the stigma from their families, and physical violence from society.Keywords: MSM response, teenage, HIV, HIV Prevention
