Abstract

Nutrition is one of the main determinants of the quality of Human Resources. Good nutritional status will affect the process of growth and development of children, one of which can improve intellectual abilities that will have an impact on learning achievement in school. In general, the purpose of this study was to determine the nutritional status and learning achievement of children at SDN 6 Sanur. This type of research was observational with a cross sectional design. This research was conducted at SDN 6 Sanur in February to April 2019. The results showed that normal nutritional status was 45 (61.64%). Learning achievement can be interpreted as the level of success of students in learning subject matter in schools which are expressed in scores obtained from the results of tests on a number of certain subject matter (Sutanto, 2013). Specific subject matter is namely Religion of Character, PPKN, Indonesian Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, SBdP, PJOK, Balinese Language, and Language. Most of the samples that had good nutritional status with good learning achievement were 49 (67.12%), but there were still less than 5 (6.85%). Samples with normal nutritional status who have good learning achievement as many as 31 (42.46%), but there are those who are thin (8.22%), obese (9.59%), and obese (5.48%) have learning achievements with good category. Although the sample has a nutritional status that is lacking (very thin and thin) or has more nutritional status (fat and obese) can also have good learning achievements. This happens probably because of how to learn samples both at school and while studying in their homes under the guidance of parents. From this data samples with good nutritional status tend to have good learning achievements. This is probably due to the sample with good nutritional status that will have good concentration when attending school. Besides that the presence of samples in the school will be more optimal.  Keywords: Nutritional Status; Learning achievement; Primary school children

Chronic energy deficiency can occur in women of childbearing age and in pregnant women. A person is said to suffer the risk of Chronic Energy Deficiency when the Upper Arm Circumference is 23.5 cm. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between individual factors and environmental factors that affect the lack of chronic energy (kek) in the Mengwi I Public Health Center. This type of research was observational with a cross-sectional design. The sample obtained was 57 pregnant women. Statistical tests using chi-square. Age of risky pregnant women is 7 people (12.3%). Low maternal education is 14 people (24.6%). The work of pregnant women who work is 37 people (64.9%). The family income of pregnant women UMR is 28 people (49.1%). Pregnant women who behave less as many as 38 people (66.7%). Pregnant women with less family support are 29 people (50.9%). On all individual factor variables and environmental factors that affect the health of pregnant women p value α (p 0.05), which means there is no relationship between maternal age and mortality, education with income, employment with income, income with income, parity with kek, attitude with kek, and family support with kek. Keywords: Individual, Enviromental Factors, Chronic energy deficiency

Abstract

Chronic kidney failure is a clinical condition characterized by progressive decline in kidney function. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of protein consumption and length of hemodialysis with the nutritional status. This type of observational research with cross sectional design. A sample of 34 people was determined by consecutive sampling. Data collected in the form of sample characteristics, level of protein consumption, length of hemodialysis, and nutritional status were obtained through interview, anamnesa and physical examination, as well as recording medical record data. Based on the criteria for the level of protein consumption the results obtained were 31 people (91.2%) who were not in accordance with their daily protein needs. Most of the samples undergoing hemodialysis were 3 years, as many as 15 people (44.1%). The most nutritional status of the sample is in the category of mild to moderate malnutrition with an indicator of nutritional status in the range of scores from 14-23 as many as 19 people (55.9%). Spearman Rank correlation test results found no relationship (p value = 0.70) between the level of protein consumption with the nutritional status, with (r value = -0.06) and no relationship (p value = 0.08) between length of hemodialysis with the nutritional status (r = 0.29). The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between the level of protein consumption and length of hemodialysis with the nutritional status of patients with chronic kidney failure at Wangaya Regional General Hospital Denpasar. Keywords: Chronic Kidney Failure, Level of Protein Consumption, Length of Hemodialysis, Nutritional Status

Abstract

Pregnant women need more nutrients than when they are not pregnant. This is caused by nutrients that are consumed for the mother and fetus. Lack of calcium intake during pregnancy can affect growth in the fetus. The purpose of the study was to obtain an overview of the level of knowledge and compliance with consumption of calcium tablets in pregnant women at the Midwifery Polyclinic at RSD Mangusada, Badung Regency. The population in this study were pregnant women who had their gynecology checked in the obstetric clinic. The sample size obtained was 43 samples with the sampling method using a purposive sampling technique where the samples taken were pregnant women with the second and third trimesters. Data collected in May 2019 include primary data and secondary data with observational type and cross sectional design. In this study, the results of the knowledge of pregnant women regarding calcium with enough categories were 24 pregnant women (55.8%), less categories as many as 5 pregnant women (11.6%), and good categories as many as 14 pregnant women (32.6%). While obedient pregnant women consumed calcium tablets as many as 42 pregnant women (97.67%) and those who did not comply with calcium tablets as many as 1 pregnant women (2.33%). These results indicate that the level of knowledge of pregnant women about calcium is still in the less category with the number of 5 pregnant women (11.6%) caused by a lack of knowledge of pregnant women about calcium. Therefore, it is expected that health workers will provide information about the benefits of the importance of taking calcium tablets during pregnancy so that pregnant women are more aware and obedient in taking calcium tablets as recommended. Keywords: Knowledge Level, Compliance Level, Calcium Tablet
