Abstract

We usually use traditional method to construct interval for the difference between two population means. This interval needs an assumption that sample is random and has normal distribution (symmetric). This article will discuss another method, namely bootstrap percentile. Bootstrap percentile method is more potential in constructing this interval and give shorter interval than the traditional method. This method does not need an assumption that the sample has to have a normal distribution.

Abstract

A BCK-algebra is one of the algebraic structure generated over an abelian group. So that, some concepts in group also can be found this structure, for instance, if at a group we have a homomorphism, then at the BCK-algebras we also have a homomorphism, exactly a homomorphism of BCK-algebras. In this paper we discussed a semi-homomorphism of BCK-algebara as generalization of a homomorphism of BCK-algebras. It can be shown every homomorphism of BCK-algebras is a semi-homomorphism of BCK-algebras, conversely not true. By utilizing concept of ideal of BCK-algebras can be proved a semi-homomorphism of BCK-algebras is a homomorphism of BCK-algebras.

Abstract

The Indonesian Herbaria hold about million records in LIPI and any databases at the universities in the each state and territory. The current system, databases herbarium is applied in the physical collections and there are some computerized databases however usage only in the institution. One of information technology which was applied to support the expansion of virtual herbarium is XML technology for data exchange mechanism in web application. In this article will be studied a design in data exchange mechanism which applied to XML technology for herbarium databases.

Abstract

Given a graph G with a set of vertices V and the set of edges E. Let  be a subset of , if each vertex of  is adjacent to at least one vertex of , then  is called a dominating set in . The domination number of a graph  denoted as  is the minimum cardinality taken from all dominating sets of . Sometypes of dominating set has been developed based on domination perameter, such as connected dominating set, triple connected dominating set, complementary tree dominating set and triple connected complementary tree dominating set. A subset  with , a nontrivial connected graph is said to be triple connected complementary tree dominating set, if  dominating set,  is a triple connected graph and  is a tree. Abstract

Regression analysis is a statistical analysis that use relation between two or more variables. To use regression analysis, the value of each variable (dependent or independent) must be available. In fact, not all of  the information is available. Missing value on dependent variable cause Ordinary Least Square is no longer to be used. One method to handle this problem is censored regression. On this regression, missing value is replaced with a censored point. This censored point may occur naturally or  made by researcher, depend on the goal of research. Maximum Likelihood Method following Newton-Raphson Iteration Method, is used to get parameter estimation of censored regression. Test of model signification uses Likelihood Ratio-test and Wald-test.

Abstract

The clasiccal regression model was devised to handle relationship between stationary variables. But, many economic variables that frequently faced by econometricians when dealing with time series data, are nonstationary variables. This clearly places severe restrictions on their analysis by standard regression method. In this paper, we study regression models with a lagged dependent variable when both the dependent and independent variables are nonstationary, and the regression model is not cointegrated. In particular, we discuss the limiting properties of least squares estimates of the parameters in such regression models. We show that the estimate of the lagged dependent variable tends to unity and the estimates of the independent variables tend to zero. The results might also allow us to investigate the growth of export from Indonesian to Japan.

Abstract

Rank promotion is a part ofpreparationunits in the implementation management of Main Functionwhich is one of the functions that organized by Puspenerbad (Army Aviation Center) in performing the basic tasks of the Army. Rank is required to assist in supporting the placement decisions of the assessment team of Puspenerbad in supporting the decision of placement task or filling vacant positions as officials had previously been moved or changed their title.Therefore, rank promotionneeds to be calculated, computerize, and ranked using a Decision Support Systems (DSS). Decision support systems can helpthe assessment team of Puspenerbad indetermining members that passed or not pass and determine the pass members ranking to get a rank promotion. One method that can be used to help support decisions for determining the value of the Army's promotion is Composite Performance Index (CPI) method. Composite Performance Index (CPI) is one method of calculation of the index-based decision making combined performance that can be used to determine the ratings or rankings of various alternatives based on several criteria, although the criteria vary. Based on the results of comparative testing of samples manually, the accuracy of the CPI method can be considered good.

Abstract

Rasio estimation under two – phase simple random sampling is studied. A new linearisation variance estimator that makes more complete use of the sample data than a standard one is proposed. A jackknife variance estimator and its linearised version are also obtained. Unconditional and conditional repeated sampling properties of these variance estimaters are studied through simulation. Applications to ‘mass’ imputation under two – phase sampling and deterministie imputation for missing data are also given.

Abstract

Let  be polynomials where K is a field. To determine whether two polynomials have a common factor without doing any divisions in K[x] can be seen from its resultant, that is determinant from Sylvester matrix. Two polynomials will have a common factor if and only if its resultant is zero. If its resultant isn’t zero so two polynomials have not a common factor. Wants to be look for resultant  where  in  where C is the set of all complex numbers. To make the easy resultant computations is used by maple 8.
