Abstract

Background: The Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease caused by SARS-COV2 was first discovered in Wuhan, China, December 2019. WHO has set Covid 19 to be a pandemic which has resulted in an increase in death rates worldwide. Covid-19 attacks the respiratory system which resembles pneumonia but has signs of a decrease in oxygen saturation. In Indonesia, many people, especially men, practice smoking, where smoking can cause respiratory system problems, but there is no sign of a decrease in oxygen saturation. Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of smoking on oxygen saturation levels in Covid-19 patients. Methods: This type of research is an analytic study with a cross sectional design. Total population of 52 people, with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: This study shows that 21.2% of patients who smoke 6-12 cigarettes / day have oxygen saturation <75%, with the result p-value = 0.000, which means that there is an effect between smoking on decreasing oxygen saturation, with a 53-fold chance of covid patients. People who smoke can cause a decrease in oxygen saturation. Conclusion: Decrease in oxygen saturation in covid-19 patients, can be caused due to the toxicity of cigarettes smoked. In smokers who are confirmed Covid-19, there will be an worsening of oxygen supply in the blood, which is indicated by a decrease in oxygen saturation <75%.

Abstract

Background: IDWG (Intradialytic Weight Gain) is one of the indicators to evaluate the biological value of weight change between the time of dialysis whose value is influenced by patient adherence to limit the intake of fluids and foods high in sodium, while potassium, sodium, albumin, urea and creatinine is an indicator of blood biochemical values whose value is influenced by patient adherence to limit the intake of nutrients. Objectives: Hospital hemodialysis unit Bekasi Methods: The sample was selected using the technique of Non-Probability Sampling or non-random sampling with purposive sampling method, and came up with 73 respondents. Results: Data collection was done through two types of data namely primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained from the questionnaires A and B by the respondent directly and secondary data obtained from the results of direct measurements by researchers that IDWG and blood biochemistry values obtained from the patient laboratory results. The results showed a significant relationship between the level of compliance yng patients for limiting the intake of fluids and nutrients to the IDWG, potassium, sodium, albumin, urea and creatinine with P Value successively ie, p = 0.0005; p = 0.020; p = 0.008; p = 0.013; p = 0.002; p = 0.004 with a = 0.05. Conclusion: of this study can be used in planning interventions appropriate education, in order to prevent and decrease the physical deterioration of the condition of patients on dialysis due to less or no maximum to limit fluid intake and nutrition.

Abstract

Background: At the end of December 2019, the world received bad news regarding a new outbreak that emerged due to a viral infection. The disease that arises due to this viral infection is named COVID 19 (Coronavirus Disease 19). The easiest access to news to get information about COVID19 is social media. Unwise use of social media can increase the risk of psychological disorders, one of which is somatic symptoms. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to look at the risk of somatic symptoms in social media users who were exposed to information about COVID-19 during the pandemic. Methods: The research method used a cross-sectional approach with an online survey method (391 respondents). The research tool used was a modification of the Somatic Symptom Inventory-24 item instrument and social media activity instruments. Results: The results of the study found that 74.5% of respondents were at risk of experiencing somatic symptoms in the moderate to low category (score ≤ 48) for users with low social media activity and 25.5% of respondents on high activity. A statistical relationship was found between somatic symptoms and social media activity with a p-value of 0.000 which means ≤ 0.005 (chi-square). Social media users with high and low activity had the same risk of experiencing somatic symptoms (OR = 1,061). Conclusion: The activities of accessing COVID-19 information through social media need to be limited to prevent the emergence of psychological disorders.

Abstract

Background:The Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a systematic collection of health information based on electronics and integrated with information systems in the hospital network. The use of the EHR system is very important in a comprehensive strategy to improve the quality of health and patient safety, especially in the operating room. Purpose: to find out the benefits of using EHR on operating room efficiency which includes treatment costs, OR efficiency metrics, turn over time, documentation time and nursing quality. Method: This literature review was searched through relevant evidence-based studies usingdatabase at PROQUEST, Science Direct, Scopus, Elsevier from 2017-2021. Results:The EHR system has a cost-saving impact on the average operating room cost of 36-37 dollars per minute and can reduce costs during pre, intra and post surgery. For the FPIR value from the data of 27,403 cases after post-implementation to 9,630 cases, it means that there are no missing patients to enter the operating room, while at the time of delay the FCOTSin pre-implementation of EHR was 1972 cases or (7.20%) and post-implementation 377 cases (3.91%). Meanwhile, the turn over time (TOT) after post implementation showed a significant increase of 53 minutes, p < 0.001. The introduction of the EHR also had an impact on increasing documentation time for nurses from 23% to 35%. In addition, it also provides benefits to the quantity and quality of nursing. Conclusion: The usefulness of the EHR system contributes to increasing the efficiency of the operating room so that it can provide effectiveness in service and quality of care. Nurses are expected to be able to input the EHR system and service agencies can implement these technological developments
