Abstract

Achievement level of aviation safety can be achieved with the proper function of all components of the system in the aviation industry which consists of airport operators, airline operators, air traffic operators and aircraft maintenance operator, as well as the regulations set by the regulator. Every incident should be investigated aviation accidents to fin d the cause. This is to provide appropriate recommendations so that the same airline accident does not happen again. The increasing number of flights that are needed with safety guarantees. So it is importance to analyzed routine flight accident to improve the safety performance of airlines. This research is descriptive analysis with qualitative methods. Flight accidents data that have investigated from NTSC and DGCA grouped causes are then recommendations have been made by the NTSC also grouped for each operator stakeholders. Improved system of aviation safety in Indonesia can be done with a thorough analysis based on the results of investigation of NTSC whose recommendations have been given to all stakeholders in the aviation industry. The results showed that the causes of flight accidents in Indonesia is dominated by the human factor the percentage reached 60%. The highest number of the recommendations given by the NTSC to DGCA as many as 208 recommendations during the period 2007-2014 but the trend o f declining. On other side of the trend of the recommendations given to aviation operators showed an increase. This shows an increase in the duty on DGCA to always supervise, and set the standard flight operations carried out by several airline operators in Indonesia.

Abstract

Potential flow over an airfoil plays an important historical role in the theory of flight. The governing equation for potential flow is Laplace’s equation, a widely studied linear partial differential equation. One of Green’s identities can be used to write a solution to Laplace’s equation as a boundary integral. Numerical models based on this approach are known as panel methods in the aerodynamics community. This paper introduces the availability of a computational tool for constructing numerical modelfor potential flow over an airfoil based on panel methods. Use of the software is illustrated by implementing a specific model using Hess and Smith panel method to compute the flow over a member of the NACA four-digit airfoils.

Abstract

The development of high-performance engineering products made from natural resources is increasing worldwide. Kenaf plants have been extensively exploited over the past few years. Chemical treatment is considered to modify the fiber surface properties. In this study, kenaf bast fibers were treated with various concentrations of NaOH with different immersed time, immersed temperature, and dried temperature. Fiber bundle tensile were performed to evaluate the effect of treatments on the fiber tensile strength. Taguchi Methods are used in order to obtain the optimal parameter which could affect the tensile strength of kenaf fibers. Three-Level Orthogonal array is used to design the experiment. Finally, the experimental results will be evaluated using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The analysis of variance (ANOVA) shows that the most significant alkali parameter is NaOH concentration, which accounts for 40.19 percent of the total. It is also found that the optimum treatment is kenaf immersed in 3 wt. percent NaOH solution for 1 hour at 33 degrees celcius and dried at 60 degrees celcius which is supported by the Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy.

Abstract

The research is located at Kulonprogo Dome, Central Java and Yogyakarta Province. The aim is to identified landform unit at Kulonprogo Dome as result of geomorphology process recorded on Landsat 8 and SRTM image.This research was conducted by analysis and class division of landform at Landsat 8 image and division of slope class on SRTM image. Of the two image are supported by secondary data in the form of divison of slope class and genetic landform.The field observations can identify the lithology of the research area composed by clay-sand deposits, clay stone, tufan sandstone, andesite lava, and andesite breccia. The interpretation of the SRTM image illustrates the slope at Kulonprogo Dome is 0-2%, 3-7%, 8-13%, 14-20%, 21-55%, 56-140%, >140%. Interpretation of Landsat 8 image shows landform fluvial processes (floodplains, lakes), denudational processes (denudational slope and hills, denudational hills and mountains), volcanic processes (volcanic denudational hills)

Abstract

Game merupakan salah satu hiburan yang diminati banyak orang. Tidak melihat umur ataupun profesinya, siapa saja senang untuk bermain game. Perkembangan Android menjadi sebuah sistem operasi telepon pintar yang paling banyak digunakan di  dunia. Pertumbuhan jumlah game yang disediakan pada Google Playstore sebagian besar tergolong sebagai game gratis yang bisa diunduh oleh siapa saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan evaluasi terhadap struktur desain game yang dibuat oleh Tracy Fullerton, dengan mengembangkan variable yang diuji pada setiap genre game yang ada pada Google Playstore. Diharapakan setiap genre memiliki karakteristik dan kelemahan sebagai patokan data bagi para developer dan desainer game untuk menciptakan game yang lebih variatif.

Abstract

The scarcity of blood that is still happening today is the result of a combination of high blood needs and the difficulty of recruiting and maintaining donors. There is no research discover the substitute that can replace the role of blood, therefore the only source is from donations or blood donors. Approximately 80% of total blood donations collected by American Red Cross are come from blood drive events. Because blood has 6-hour spoilage time, donated blood at various donation locations must be collected and sent to a blood center for processing in less than 6 hours. This research study the Maximum Blood Collection Routing Problem (MBCRP). This problem is the extension of Vehicle Routing Problem with Time-Window (VRPTW) by considering the spoilage time limitation in blood. A mathematical model with objective to maximize total blood collection is built to cope with this problem. The mathematical model will be tested for verification and validation. The model is written in a computer programming language using AMPL software and is solved using the CPLEX solver. Furthermore, the results of verification and validation tests will be evaluated to see the applicability of the model.

Abstract

The problem that often arises in the hydraulic system when the main landing gear is done extension and retraction is the control o f the hydraulic motion and the fluid motion is very big influence on the hydraulic work process where the fluid flow must be ensured or arranged in such a way as to work properly. To overcome this problem, a mathematical modeling system is used to create a representation or an imitation o f the actual system, which links the output o f the system with its input in a mathematical relationship and its parameter values. The research was conducted by observation method and literature study to obtain the data and its calculation. The results o f this study obtained a description o f the response and dynamic characteristics o f the PID controller in the transfer function o f the hydraulic system when the main landing gear extension and retraction o f the nearest Boeing 737-900ER aircraft is the 5th time experiment by inputting PID controller value P = 13 I = 4 D = 3 with an error value o f 0.01887 and an overshoot o f1,0002. With a small error value or a 2% value limit and the response picture is not experiencing a large overshoot, then the picture o f the response in accordance with the expected in the 5th experiment where the error value o f 0.01887 and overshoot o f 1,0002. With an overview o f the response with this small overshoot then the accuracy o f the system will stop at the point corresponding to the actual system. By using this modeling, the response o f the main landing gear extension and retraction movements can be well studied thus providing a good understanding o f the performance of the hydraulic system.

Abstract

Success of an aircraft mechanic is to find a problem and solve it. Analysis of the problems in the Cessna Grand Caravan 208B needed someone expert in the field of aircraft mechanics. In this research expert system is used to provide easily diagnose problems with the Cessna Grand Caravan 208B by adopting the knowledge possessed from a professional mechanic, then take it into the software, that will be called by the expert system. Backward Chaining method used to obtain the results as expected by a professional mechanic. Search tecniques used to supplement the backward chaining method is a Best-First Search technique. Best-First Search Techniques is a search technique to that used to perform a search based on the knowledge gained to conduct a proper solution where it is located.

Abstract

The introduction of color to children under three years of age is done by providing and explaining objects favored by children, such as toys and food, which have certain colors so that children recognize colors at that age. Unlike adults, how to introduce color in children does require a different way, in addition to the objects and food, in this study the introduction of color in children is done by using the software that is installed on the smartphone using the image to speech. This method is expected to be more easily carried out and the results are expected to be maximum because of equipment smartphones today the price is very affordable and are often used by children ages two until three years old to play games.

Abstract

The appears of the popularity of web technologies and applications have created a vast opportunity for organizations, including institutions of higher education. With the presence of Academic information systems (SiAkad) that is in STTNAS, then do some research to find out the intention of the behavior in the use of Academic information systems using the UTAUT model (Unified Theory Of Acceptance And Use Of Technology). The phenomenon underlying this study is: not yet optimal use of Academic information systems by civitas academic (professors, students and employees) in the process of learning and socializing, so the existence of maximal and haven't yet SiAkad his crisp utilization impact of its use for the entire civitas academic. The study was limited in its scope: the analysis of the influence of Performance Expextancy, Expextancy Effort, Social Influence and Facilitating Condition against the intention SiAkad usage behavior in STTNAS in Yogyakarta. The data in the study on the test with the SEM analysis tool (Structural Equation Modeling). SEM is a tool of statistical analysis that are used to complete the research of multilevel models simultaneously. SEM can be used to solve equations with variables that make up the path. Research results based on the analysis and discussion is a variable PerformanceExpectancy (PE), Social Influence (SI) and Facilitating Condition (FC) effect significantly to Behavioral Intention, while variable Effort Expectancy (EE) provides results that are not significant. Fourth overall Predictor is only able to explain the impact on behavioral intention of 37,6 percent.
