Abstract

Reality group counseling is a short-term therapy that focuses on the present moment, emphasizes personal power, and on the dasamya is the way in which the members of the group can learn behaviors and more realistic. Group counseling activities of reality can also make its members better appreciate opinions of others, and bolder posited opinion are responsible for developing self esteem with eight stages as follows: (1) counselor demonstrated involvement with konseli (be friend), (2) focus on the behavior now, (3) explore the total behavior konseli, (4) konseli judge for yourself or do evaluation, (5) the responsible action plan, (6) make commitment, (7) receive no apology or excuse konseli, (8) follow-up. self esteem is individual assessment against him, describing the extent to which the individual assess her as a person who has the ability, keberartian, valuable, and competent.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of value social support learning through audio visual media to peer social support in Student with Special Needs in Elementary School Inclusion. The research design used quasi experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. Participants in this study were students in one of  elementary school inclusion Malang grade 3, 4 and 5. The research instrument used the scale of social support peers referring to Sarafino and Smith (2011) and value social support learning through audio visual media that is social support video. Data analysis using IBM SPSS statistics 23.0 software with t-test using paired sample t-test. Finding showed that Value learning through social support video effects to peer social support in student with Special Needs in Elementary School Inclusion, with significance of 0.001 (p <0.05).

Abstract

Single mother who has adolescence with autism have higher stress level than mothers who have normal ones and make themto do coping, one of them is emotion focused coping. The research is qualitative phenomenology based and analyzed with Miles Hubberman. Result showed most subjects tend to cope with escape (rejection and wishful thinking), social emotional support (family and environment), self control (patient), distancing (avoiding problems), positive reappraisal (pray to God) and accepting responsibility (acceptance and responsibility). Single mothers tend to cope with their own way frequently to reduce stress and when they facing their child behavior.

Abstract

Implementation of law number 22 in the year of 1999 on regional autonomy has changed the management of government of Indonesia, both on the national scale and on a regional one. One of thegovernment institutions that got its impact is Family Planning Program. This program has implications, not only to advisor’s attitudes and work behaviors, such as job performance and working motivation but also to government commitment on the reception and implementation of this program namely formation of family planning institutions at theregional level.One of the attitudes indicated by the advisor in the form of complaints related to salary wages and operating costs are not considered balance with the workload that causes themotivation and performance of work decrease. Other phenomena are to turn over the workers in the family planning and other government institutions. Accumulation of these could be the cue of advisors’ weak commitment towards their institutions. Implications: This study can provide an understanding of job satisfaction and increase the extension's commitment in performing its duties.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood. During the course of developmental tasks, teenagers often fall into the negative direction that causes them to commit acts that violate the law so that sanctions in the form of criminal punishment. One of the developmental tasks traversed by teenagers is the task of selecting and planning future jobs/careers. However, the conditions faced by teenagers inside the Prison are very complicated. Lack of information about careers that can be inmates in their teens, this makes it difficult for them to make career planning in the future. This paper discusses the role of counselor in helping career planning for inmates in their teens.

Abstract

Learning outcome, student achievement and academic achievement are some of the variables that get a lot of attention in educational research. Nevertheless, from several national studies collected there are inconsistencies in particular with regard to English terminology as well as inconsistencies in methods and instruments of data collection. Therefore, this study aims to explain the different methods of data collection research on learning outcome, achievement learning, and academic achievement. This study is a study desk study using literature review to explain the different methods of data collection on learning outcome, student achievement, and academic achievement. Based on the results of research can be concluded that the method of data collection of learning outcome, can be done through three ways, namely, perception survey, interview, and forum group discussion (FGD). While the instruments that can be used to collect data learning results are questionnaires, interview guides and minutes. Methods of collecting research data about student achievement, can be done through two ways namely, (1) test and (2) non test. Data collection methods of academic achievement can be done through documentation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of public speaking training with cognitive behavioral therapy towards public speaking anxiety. Another purpose was to examine the difference of this training effectiveness towards both genders, male and female. The training method is appropriate for applying cognitive behavioral approaches because this method aims to change cognition and to train certain behaviors for an individual to the adaptive and better behavior. The purposive sampling is used in this experimental research to obtain 20 samples including 10 males and 10 females sit in the third grade of a senior high class of TrubusIman Islamic Boarding School and have public speaking anxiety in the medium and high level.  The method used quantitative approach for analyzing data. It can be concluded that the training had been effectively minimizing public speaking anxiety but this research could not able show the difference of the training effectiveness among both genders.

Abstract

This article examines and discusses (1) the concept of emotional literacy, (2) the concept of the child and his emotions, (3) the metaphor of windows and mirrors in a cooperative game, (4) metaphor window and mirror technique in cooperative games for develop emotional literacy on children. Emotional literacy means the ability to recognize, understand, and realize the emotional self, labeling emotions felt, expressing emotions and situations experienced by way of an appropriate and proper emotional management. Using the metaphor of the window and the mirror technique, students can understand his emotions as well as others. Cooperative games used to stimulate emotions and express and reflect the positive emotions that exist in children.

Abstract

This study aims to examine a relationship between hope, religiosity, social support, resilience and subjective well being of 455 bidik misi students University Negeri Semarang.. The research method used was correlation with random sampling as sampling technique. The data was collected by 5 scale they are hope scales using the expectation scale for adult cognitive models from Snyder, social support scales using multidimensional scales of perceived social support, subjective scales using oxford happines inventory, resilience scales using resilience scales from Reivich and Sheite, whereas religiosity was measured using the scale of religiosity. To analyze the relationship, correlational product of moment parson is used. The results showed that the correlation between subjective well being and hope outcome was 0.155, the correlation between subjective wellbeing and religiosity was 0.148, correlation between subjective well being and social performance was 0.148, Correlation between subjective well being and resilience was 0.473, and there are simultaneous influence of hope, social support, religiosity and resilience, to subjective well-being. The conclusion of this study was hope, religiosity, social support, and resilience is a predictor of subjective well being.

Abstract

Nowadays, getting a job is very difficult, there is no guarantee for a graduate to get a job. One of the alternatives is to become an entrepreneur. To become an entrepreneur needs self-confidence, responsibility, decision making skill, perseverance and risk taking which are in accordance with the dimensions of sensation seeking i.e. thrill and adventure seeking, experience seeking, disinhibition, and boredom susceptibility. This study aimed to understand the sensation seeking and entrepreneurship of the fresh graduates in The University of Syiah Kuala. The samples were 120 fresh graduates who were selected with quota sampling technique. There were two instruments used, Brief Sensation Seeking adaptation Scale (BSSS-8) by Hoyle et al (2002) consisting of 8 items and an Entrepreneurship Scale based on Koh’s theory (1996) consisting of 24 items. Data analysis result using Pearson correlation technique showed a correlation coefficient of (r) 0,714 with p value = 0,000 (p < 0,05). The proposed hypothesis was confirmed therefore it can be concluded that there was a positive and significant correlation between sensation seeking and entrepreneurship of the fresh graduates in The Universitas Syiah Kuala.
