Abstract

Single mother who has adolescence with autism have higher stress level than mothers who have normal ones and make themto do coping, one of them is emotion focused coping. The research is qualitative phenomenology based and analyzed with Miles Hubberman. Result showed most subjects tend to cope with escape (rejection and wishful thinking), social emotional support (family and environment), self control (patient), distancing (avoiding problems), positive reappraisal (pray to God) and accepting responsibility (acceptance and responsibility). Single mothers tend to cope with their own way frequently to reduce stress and when they facing their child behavior.

Abstract

Objectives: this research was conducted to look at the relationship between school and school - both in high school students.Method: this research is a quantitative study involving subjects consisting of 134 high school students based on the calculation of the application G * Power version 3.1.9.2. Data retrieval is done by connecting two scales, namely the scale of school connectivity and school scale using the accidental sampling method. Test data analysis in this study using Pearson product moment.Findings: There was positive relationship between  school connectedness and school wellbeing variables in the Middle School students is significan (r = 0.77, p = 0.00) t. The results of this study have a positive value. Where there is a positive relationship between variables, the higher the level of student school connection to the school, the higher the school level will be, and vice versa.Conclusions: dimensions of school connectedness related to school wellbeing are related and liked by students, communication and liked by teachers. But belonging does not have an influence on school wellbeing in high school students. The dimension of school connectednes which has the greatest effect size is liked by the teachers then communication and the last is connected and liked by students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the adversity quotient on social adjustment among students who are migrating from their home regions to the Malang City, East Java, for studying at universities. The sample was 164 students who are in the first year of their studies. Data were collected using Adversity Response Profile (ARP) and Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ) and are analyzed using simple linear regression. The result showed that there is positive correlation between adversity quotient and social adjustment among the participants. It can be concluded from this study that the participants? adversity quotient can affect their social adjustment. The increase of adversity quotient will predict better social adjustment.Keywords: Adversity quotient, migrating students, social adjustment.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran adversity quotient pada mahasiswa luar kota dalam membentuk penyesuaian sosial. Subjek penelitian adalah 164 mahasiswa perantauan yang menjalani studi mereka pada tahun pertama di Malang, Jawa Timur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui skala Adversity Response Profile (ARP) dan Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ). Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara adversity quotient dengan penyesuaian sosial pada mahasiswa rantau yang sedang kuliah pada tahun pertamanya. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa adversity quotient pada partisipan dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan penyesuaian sosial mereka. Peningkatan adversity quotient  dapat memprediksi penyesuaian sosial yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara parasosial dengan romantic beliefs pada penonton serial drama Korea. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 107 penonton serial drama Korea berusia 18-25 tahun. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan koefisien korelasi product moment (r) sebesar 0.601 (p=0.00). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara parasosial dengan romantic beliefs pada penonton serial drama Korea, yang bermakna semakin tinggi tingkat parasosial penonton serial drama Korea maka akan semakin tinggi pula romantic beliefs-nya.

Abstract

This research is a phenomenology study in qualitative about the portrayal of occupational well-being of school staff at Full Day School and Half Day School in Senior High School teachers, which is based on Saaranen's theory (2012). The interviews were used as data. Purposive sampling, eight primary teachers were selected, including four teachers from Universitas Negeri Malang Laboratory Senior High School as the full-day school and four teachers from Panjura Senior High School as a half-day school. Milles and Huberman were used as the data analysis following by triangulation techniques. The results showed that full-day and half-day schools needed to maintain the positive aspects that were fulfilled and improve improvement. A full-day school, the elements that have fulfilled are the workers' health and resources, professional competence, working conditions, and working communities. Meanwhile, the factors that have fulfilled are the aspects of the working community, the workers’ health and resources, and professional competence at half day school. In contrast, the element that needs to improve in this school is working conditions. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif jenis fenomenologi mengenai gambaran occupational well-being of school staff pada guru Sekolah Menengah Atas Full Day School dan Half Day School, yang berdasar pada teori Saaranen (2012). Data yang digunakan oleh peneliti melalui wawancara, dengan menggunakan purposive sampling sebanyak delapan guru primer diantaranya empat guru di SMA Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Malang sebagai sekolah full day dan empat guru di SMA Panjura sebagai sekolah half day. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data Milles dan Huberman serta menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah fullday dan halfday perlu mempertahankan aspek positif yang terpenuhi dan meningkatkan hal yang masih perlu diperbaiki. Pada sekolah full day, aspek yang telah terpenuhi yaitu aspek workers health and resources, professional competence, working conditions dan working community. Pada sekolah half day, yang telah terpenuhi yaitu aspek working community, workers health and resources, dan professional competence, sedangkan untuk aspek yang perlu ditingkatkan pada sekolah ini yaitu aspek working conditions.

Abstract

AbstractStudents who continue their education to higher education will find a variety of changes, new challenges, demands, and greater responsibilities. This transition can put pressure on new students and negative results if they cannot pass it. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of self-esteem and resilience towards the adjustment of new students. Determination of the sample using accidental sampling technique with a sample of new students in the first semester who are actively enrolled in state or private universities (N = 673). Measuring instruments used are the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale-Revised with reliability 0,836, Brief Resilience Scale with reliability 0,747, and Inventory of New College Student Adjustments with reliability 0,701 that have been through the process of trans adaptation. Based on the results of multiple regression tests, self-esteem and resilience are significant predictors of the adjustment of new students in a positive direction. Self-esteem is an evaluation of core self and resilience in difficult times can be a factor that increases the adjustment of new college students.Keywords: Adjustment; New College Student; Resilience; Self-esteem AbstrakSiswa yang melanjutkan pendidikannya ke perguruan tinggi akan menemukan berbagai perubahan, tantangan baru, tuntutan, dan tanggung jawab yang lebih besar. Transisi ini dapat memberikan tekanan bagi mahasiswa baru dan hasil yang negatif apabila tidak dapat melewatinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran self-esteem dan resiliensi terhadap penyesuaian diri mahasiswa baru. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dengan sampel mahasiswa baru di semester pertama yang terdaftar aktif di perguruan tinggi negeri ataupun swasta (N = 673). Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale-Revised dengan reliabilitas 0,836, Brief Resilience Scale dengan reliabilitas 0,747, dan Inventory of New College Student Adjustment dengan reliabilitas 0,701 yang telah melalui proses transadaptasi. Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi berganda, self-esteem dan resiliensi merupakan prediktor yang signifikan terhadap penyesuaian diri mahasiswa baru dengan arah yang positif. Abstract

Penyesuaian diri atau adjustment bagi mahasiswa diperlukan dalam berbagai setting kehidupan, baik secara akademis maupun non akademis. Kemampuan mereka dalam beradapatasi sangat bervariasi tergantung pada latar belakang, pengalaman, lingkungan sekolah sebelumnya, dan lingkungan perguruan tinggi saat ini. Adjustment adalah proses untuk mengenali dan mengadopsi cara-cara berperilaku yang sesuai, baik secara sosial maupun emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran perceived social support (friend) sebagai variabel moderator penting dari korelasi antara psychological well-being dan penyesuaian mahasiswa baru di perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan karakteristik subjek yaitu mahasiswa baru  aktif di perguruan tinggi, dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 751 subyek, terdiri dari 205 mahasiswa dan 546 mahasiswi. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel yaitu menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala yaitu 1) Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) (α=.85), 2) Ryff’s Scale of Psychological well-being dan 3) Inventory of New College Student Adjustment (INCA): dimensi supportive network (α=.83) dan belief in self (α=.77). Teknik Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) digunakan untuk melakukan pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh hasil bahwa keberadaan perceived social support (friends) sebagai variabel moderator dapat memperkuat peran antara variabel psychological well-being terhadap penyesuaian mahasiswa baru, dengan nilai signifikansi .000 (p<.05). Besar peran variabel moderator adalah 24.1%.

Abstract

Various programs to fulfill community nutrition by the government in Sukodono District have been actively implemented to alleviate the problem of stunting. Our service activities are based on strategic issues faced in Sukodono District, consisting of education regarding the causes and solutions to the stunting problem and socializing one of the efforts to eradicate stunting. Supported by the Lumajang Regency Government, it has made various efforts to handle and alleviate stunting in Lumajang, so this outreach activity provides insight to the community, especially posyandu cadres, prospective brides, and mothers. This activity aims to help the communities in the Sukodono District, Lumajang Regency, to eradicate the problem of stunting by socializing the tilapia fish farming model and the benefits of tilapia fish. The activity is community service through socialization, which can increase public understanding before and after presenting material on tilapia program activities to prevent stunting.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Fenomena prokrastinasi sering terjadi pada pelajar di sekolah, termasuk pada jenjang pendidikan menengah pertama. Pelajar SMP berada di tahap perkembangan remaja awal dengan rentang usia 12-15 tahun. Permasalahan yang sering muncul pada masa remaja, seperti menghindari tugas dan memilih melakukan aktivitas yang lebih menyenangkan, menjadi tantangan yang perlu diperhatikan. Berdasarkan asesmen kebutuhan terhadap pelajar SMP kelas 8 di SMPN X ditemukan bahwa mereka kesulitan mengatur waktu dan cenderung menunda pengerjaan tugas sekolah, terutama yang dianggap sulit. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu intervensi berupa sosialisasi untuk mengenalkan konsep prokrastinasi dan meningkatkan efikasi diri akademik. Intervensi ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada pelajar tentang penyebab dan dampak penundaan tugas sekolah dan strategi untuk mengatasi prokrastinasi. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada pelajar terkait prokrastinasi dengan menggunakan metode pre-post test. Pretest dan posttest dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner pada awal dan akhir sesi kegiatan. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tidak ada peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor efikasi diri akademik setelah intervensi, namun intervensi ini berhasil meningkatkan rasa tanggungjawab pelajar terhadap hasil belajar mereka. Selain itu, meskipun tidak ditemukan perbedaan skor prokrastinasi yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi, pelajar yang melaporkan penurunan prokrastinasi cenderung mengalami peningkatan efikasi diri akademik sebagai dampak dari intervensi tersebut. Junior high school students are in the early adolescent stage, ranging from 12 to 15 years old. Common issues during adolescence, such as avoiding tasks and engaging in more enjoyable activities, present challenges that require attention. A needs assessment conducted among 8th-grade students at SMPN X revealed that they face difficulties in time management and tend to postpone completing school assignments, particularly those perceived as challenging. Therefore, an intervention through a socialization program is necessary to introduce the concept of procrastination and enhance academic self-efficacy. This intervention was designed to provide students with an understanding of the causes and consequences of procrastination and strategies to overcome it. This community service aims to educate students about procrastination using a pre-test and post-test method. Pre-tests and post-tests were conducted using questionnaires at the beginning and end of the sessions. The results of the community service program indicated that, although there was no significant increase in academic self-efficacy scores after the intervention, the program successfully improved students' sense of responsibility for their learning outcomes. Furthermore, while no significant differences were found in procrastination scores before and after the intervention, students who reported a decrease in procrastination tended to experience an increase in academic self-efficacy as an effect of the intervention.
